I had a new corn dish last night, but I'm
not going to tell you about it.
I received another, better, U2 review
from Madison Square Garden
I heard stories about Mr.Perfect's bad
behavior when he was in K-Drag.
Those are stories that will remain untold,
so I'll tell you this one, instead:
Twenty four years ago tonight, Zeppelin
played a hot show their first night in LA.
(Just curious - is there anybody out there
having their 24th birthday today, the 21st?)
Most Zeppelin fanatics prefer the early
concerts, the live first & second albums.
The extended blues jams, the classic Negro-chant blues, the unrehearsed
Beatles/Elvis
medleys when the crowd called them back for a third and fourth
encore.
I've always been a later-Zeppelin fan.
I have a snippet from a live recording for Tim in Las Vegas
and Rich, the Rude New Yorker.
Not only am I off-topic,
this is only for these two guys
(and anyone that might want to hear some snippy playing from
God in His Prime.)
Remember now, this is a live recording, kinda like a bootleg
but, Japan doesn't get a cut.
They're live onstage in LA, calling audibles without a net -
some great mistakes are made.
But when the audible works, and works real good,
it's enough to make you wish you had
a nice recording of this live magic to hear again and again as
the years go by.
This is Page daydreaming on guitar.
He's not playing his "regular" solo.
He's just letting it flow, and the others are keeping up.
The best part is when he goes low, then goes low again.
ha ha
Nobody goes low like Jimmy Page
It's a string-bending Brasilian/salsa Stairway solo thing,
and it's ground zero for my much-maligned musical tastes.
Last complication...
This is not a clear recording, so if you were just ...tempted
...to click, don't.
It'll sound like a garbage truck making a pick-up.
But if you just have to hear Jimmy Page do some magic,
to download the Stairway solo MP3 that Tim and Rude Rich are gonna hear.
...if you know someone who likes Jimmy Page,
(draws on a fattie, ...exhales...)
...they might like it.
