Subject: Corporate funding for Smirk inauguration
The innaguration is costing about $40 million
this time around. Most of it
will be paid by corporations. PG & E Utility
company out here in
California is one of the sponsors in spite of
their recent declaration
of looming bankruptcy. They are currently gouging
customers in San Diego
by 300% in their power bills and have done rolling
blackouts across the state.
Democratic Governor Gray Davis declared a state
of emergency in which Smirk
has already said "Well California, that's your
problem." (D) Senator Feinstein hasn't
seen this bipartisan unification Smirk promised
and says this is a dangerous philosophy.
PG & E declined an interview with the channel
2 Bay Area News so I will comment for them.
"What's a few million here and there to help
our Oil Boy do his business?
As well as for our customers, Fuck them."

Hot off the wire: Linda Tripp fresh from 20/20
talking of her two plastic
surgeries (I guess she needed one for each face)
has been fired from her
job at the Pentagon. It seems she refused to
resign like all other appointees,
so the Clinton administration fired her.
Her lawyers said "President clinton should not
have been so 'vindictive'
on his last day of office." I agree, he should
have done it as soon as
he heard about the secretive taping of a fellow
Pentagon employee, Monica
Lewinski. I think they forgot the old adage,
every dog has his day
(that 'dog' finally got hers......Ha! Ha!).
Maybe G.W. will hire her, yeah-right!!!! I don't
think she'll have many
'friends' to recommend her. Like old 'tricky'
Dick once said, "She won't
have Bill Clinton to kick around anymore!!!"

Hey, did you see the Daily Show today?
Man, it was hilarious. There's this scene where one of the correspondents
is in D.C., talking about
how the city is preparing for the biggest inauguration in 4 years,
and that since the incoming
president-select is a republican, that the city is celebrating in true
Republifascist form.
When the correspondent is in front of a building project, she says "The
republicans
are going all out with their celebration preparations, such as
building jails . . ."
When in front of mounted, charging policemen, she continues "declaring Marshall law . . ."
And when in front of a huge materials mover with some blacks in the
front
shovel, she finishes "and deporting all the blacks."
It was the funniest thing I have seen on a TV news program ever.
The Daily Show should be called 'The news show for liberals.'

Subject: Quick Notes On Jesse and Bill
Professor Bartcop,
Now that we are hearing all of these retrospectives on President Clinton
it's time to point out something that you WILL NOT hear from anybody.
Remember the beginnings of Clinton's first term and how everybody says
that the health care reform was a disaster? Now, imagine that
time (and
let me remind you that the Democrats controlled the House) and image
that
the Democrats actually supported their President. Kind'a hard
to do, huh?
But what would that time have been like?
We are hearing from the Democrats how it's too bad about health care,
but where were they when we (well, maybe not "we" but certainly the
people
without health care) needed them? I mean, the Republicans can
stand
behind President Smirk but we can't stand behind William Jefferson
Clinton for the cause of universal health care? That just doesn't
make sense.
To add insult to injurey -- we blame Clinton for the entire mess.
And it's really a shame about Jesse and I don't for a moment condone
his actions.
But I keep hearing people comparing him to Jim Bakker or Livingston
and I think
you have to point out one important difference -- Jackson never went
around
censuring people for the sins he committed.
And even through this lessened his moral authority, he has shown
compassion
for others and their weaknesses and compassion should be given unto
him.

Subject: Dooms Day
BC:
Well, Dooms Day is finally here. At noon today, President Select Smirk
puts his hand on the Bible and finalizes what most of us feel has been
a tragedy to our Democracy. He is living proof that if the Republicans
put enough money and propaganda behind their candidate, they can put
a
Crash Test Dummy into the White House. It's no secret that Dubya isn't
the sharpest knife in the drawer. He couldn't light his own ass gas
without Powell pulling his finger and Cheney holding the lighter. But
you have
to understand that's what the true power of the GOP wanted. They want
someone that they can control easily. Dubya is just a Republican Muppet
who's actions and speech are controlled by a group of fascist puppeteers.
That's what is really scaring about Smirk's presidency.
They keys to the kingdom have been handed back to the religiously insane,
ultra-rightwing fanatics that believe only they know what's best for
all of us. They have conjured up their conservative agenda out of the
thin
air of an invisible mandate. America stands to loose a lot over the
next
four years. Not only because the fascists will be running our country,
but
because here aren't any Democrats in congress with enough balls to
stand in their way. If they wouldn't stand up and fight to stop the
theft
of the presidency, what will they stand up and fight for? But this
is just
the beginning of the shape of things to come. How does that saying
go,
"By the pricking of my thumb, something wicked this way comes."
There are going to be a lot of sore thumbs in America today.

For many millions of Americans, Jan. 20th was
the day of "Swearing At",
not swearing in. I'm sure that the language of
people watching this fraud
on television would make Andrew Dice Clay blush.

Subject: Presidential transgressions
Many, I believe, will look back on President Clinton's tenure as a good
one; as I will.
He may not have accomplished all but he made great headway. During
his eight years
as President he also helped our nation maintain (if not obtain) a good
economic growth.
Some, however, will dwell on the fact the he screwed a chick in the
White House.
I say "So what?"
I find it amazing, actually ironic, that some are so eager to rid the
country of a man who,
in 8 long years, transgressed only once within the White House doors
while at the same
time they welcome, with open arms, a man who has already screwed over
the half the
nation; before he's even reached the White House steps.

BC, please take it easy on Laura.
She's married to The Jerk, but she came out today
against revoking Roe vs. Wade.
There may be something there.
Anyway I hope she's a moderating influence.
