That 3-4 minute MP3 I posted should be very small, but it's 7 meg.

I'm guessing I have the "save rate" set too high - 44,000 , 16-bit stereo.
But when I try to save it, it says "Not enough disk space to save entire file,
do you want to save a protion of it?" which is useless.

I have 128 meg memory and 21 gig free space on the hard drive.
I defrag every week or so, so that's not a problem. I've been doing tons
of sound files (wav onto CDR) for years so this stupid problem is puzzling.

Anybody know why I get "not enough room" for a 4 minute sound file
with 128 meg memory and 21 gig free space?

I've been pressing live versions of "No Quarter" and Dazed & Confused" for years,
and those files take up more than half a CDR each.

But I'm out of room with a 4 minutes MP3?

I'd appreciate any help.
If I could make these sound files small enough, more people could hear them.
