I'm sorry, but I have to vent.
 
What has happened to the news media in this country?  Where have all of the young upstarts trying
to make a name for themselves by breaking a big story?
 
I was recently disgusted that the death of an R&B singer has been bigger news than the death
of a 28 yr old in the republicans office.   Yes, she was 22, and it is a shame, but the intern was 28.
The singer dies because she refused to leave some luggage behind and the plane was too heavy.
The intern was probably the victim of foul play and a cover up.  So what gets bigger play?
The celebrity of course.
Why do you think there are more entertainment news programs than news programs?
Why is celebrity news on in primetime, but Meet the Press and so forth are relegated to Sunday at 2AM????
 
I shudder to think what might have transpired had Watergate happened today.  Would the press bury
the story because "it isn't newsworthy"?  Why is there no press delving into these stories:
 
W had his Drivers License number changed....why?
 
W accused of past drug use....anyone collaborate it?
 
3 members of the Supreme court recuses itself from a recent case because they had personal ties to
the victim.....but having your family on Bushes team during the recount isn't personal?
 
First there is no surplus under "W"....they go into secret meetings and suddenly we have a 30 billion surplus
 
W says he will NOT raid social security unless war or recession, but now he says he may have to
 
WHY IS THIS BEING IGNORED???????
 
When is some network person going to do some investigative reporting?
Where is the 60 minutes expose???  Where is the Washington Post now?
Why does everyone who says anything concerning Bush Sr and Reagans arms deals
labeled a "nut" or a "Conspiracy nut"?
 
Recently I was talking to my boss about Bush Sr and I mentioned arms to Iran, and Reagan's trip to
the nazi memorial, and he said i was a "Conspiracy nut" and "i just hate republicans".
I sent him articles and photos, and he STILL didn't believe me.
 
Ee just need ONE guy to step up and do some REAL reporting, not just recite what shows up in their
face on the teleprompter.

BTW, tonights LEAD news story is about the stupid Little League team from NY......what journalism
