No, many of us thought he was a progressive and it turns out he's a pig.
I've already picked up that you are slavishly
dedicated to the Clintons despite plenty of evidence that they are nothing
but Republikan-smart.

will see?" WTF?? Clinton passed NAFTA and Gramm-Leach-Bliley, the
two most
devastating acts taken by any President to dismantle
FDR's New Deal. He passed a harsh escalation of the drugwar that
put many harmless
people in the pentitentiary. (I am one.)
He worked continuously against progressives at every turn, and rolled over
for the Gingrich bunch
without so much as batting an eye. Clinton
was and is a corporatist, just like his "wife" of convenience, Hil-pig.
Saying Clinton's mis-reign
was "the last eight great years" is like saying
the last quarter-hour of a heroin-overdoser's life was his last great 15
minutes.
NONSENSE. THE CLINTONS ARE OWNED BY THE
BANKSTERS, DRUGWAR CRIMINALS, AND WAR PIGS.
If he would have stood up to the corporatists
he would have done much good, even if he lost, because he would have raised
progressive
consciousness and we would be that much farther
down the road to really changing things. Instead his corruption and
his backstabbing of
the progressive base resulted in such a weakened
Dem party that they were easy pickings for the slimy shenanigans of the
Clintons' masters, the neocons.
Now, with Obama, you refuse to see the obvious:
WE HAVE BEEN SCAMMED. Obama promised to fight FISA. He flip-flopped.
He promised to restore the rule of law.
He has now supported every single torture-supporting policy the Bush criminals
ever put in, refusing to
prosecute the torturers, release the torture
pic's, or do anything else to restore America's standing in the world as
a non-torturing nation of laws.
He promised real healthcare reform. Now
single-payer is "off the table", and even a weak public option looks to
be dying (and along with it,
real healthcare reform). He promised to
get us out of Iraq. Now he is saying that over 50,000 troops will
be there forever, and he has escalated
an even more-hopeless imperialist foolishness:
Afghanistan. And above all: HE IS SELLING US OUT TO THE BANKSTERS!!!
If we don't take these thieving criminals out
of power and put them in the pentitentiary FAST, along with confiscation
of their assets and
nationalization of the banks, OUR CURRENCY WILL
GO TO HELL AND WE WILL ENTER A DEPRESSION THAT WILL MAKE
THE '30's LOOK LIKE A MILD RECESSION.
It's one thing to be defensive of a beleaguered
progressive. It's another to be shilling for a corporate tool.
Say it like it is: PROGRESSIVES ARE BEING
SOLD DOWN THE RIVER.
No more defense of these pig "Democrats".
If we don't speak up NOW we are really effed.
We need you on the side of the good guys.

It's possible you're proving my original statement.
You are comparing Clinton and Obama to mythical perfect presidents,
but they don't exist..
You want the president to do exactly what you would do if you were
president.
And if he doesn't, you hit the CAPS key and throw a hissy fit.
You hate Clinton, you hate Obama - so who do you like? Nader?
Do you think Nader would keep every promise and do everything that you
would do?
It's OK to be a dreamer - but you have to keep one foot in reality,
too.
