Today's Amazing Astrocat photo... What
an eerie but also strangely beautiful place
to be driving around at 4 o'clock in the morning listening to all the coyotes howling and watching
the elk and mule deer. I was taking moon illuminated shots of the badlands when the auroras came out,
and they were green, but then the moon set and the auroras appeared brighter and red. The campground
was full because of the big holiday weekend, Canadian Thanksgiving day, and everyone else was asleep
