What makes people crazy?

Have you ever been to the Grand Canyon?

When you're at a high elevation, the winds are damn strong.
You almost have to pull a Larry Craig and have a "wide stance"
or the wind can knock a fully-grown Okie right off his damn feet.

I assume this guy survived his "Let's see how stupid I can be" moment,
buy why take the chance?  Is this guy Catholic or something?
Is he a little too eager to meet his Lord and Savior?

He seems to be taking a picture of the valley below,
but would that picture look a lot different from ten feet back?

Last time we were at the Grand Canyon, some kids, maybe 10-14,
had walked beyond the railing and were playing on the cliffs - with
a thousand feet drop on both sides if one of them slipped.

Their mother yelled, "You kids be careful" and looked the other way.

When I was a kid, I thought my Mom was waaaay too strict.

But y'know?
It's 2011 and I'm still alive because she wouldn't let me play on the 1,000 foot cliffs.

Thanks, Mom.

Bonus
Any idea where this is?
It's not the Grand Canyon and it's not Glacier Park.

I guess there's a chance it's the Snake River Canyon
but it could be the Alps, about which I don't know jack.
