Rule #3 - Send jpgs and gifs as attachments ONLY, and NOT embedded in the e-mail.. 

 You don't have to do it this way, but I can't see it unless you do. 

Some other helpful tips: 

Please:

* Make the title of your email descriptive of what the email actually contains. "Great commentary on Bush oil grab" is more likely to get read then "MUST READ!" Emails with no title many times do not get read.  * If you send a story or a link, provide an excerpt or a clue for me. When I see mail that says, "Have you seen this?" or "You gotta see this," I have to pass it by because some pages take forever to load and there's just no time. Plus, it's often a link pointing to the same breaking story, so if you clue me in, I could read more mail in one sitting  * Don't send the same email to all the BartCop mail boxes just to make sure it gets read.  * Don't forward date your email to put it at the top of the mail list or it will likely be deleted (we understand that mail coming in from different time zones will be forward dated by hours - anything else gets whacked.)  * If you have something important send it to  bartcop-urgent@bartcop.com
