Subject: The Dogs finally bark

All this year the big favorites were winning and covering with ease, this week was the first time we had the underdogs
not only keep it close, but they also won on the field. The Chiefs, nearly a touchdown underdog, beat the Redskins,
the Bills somehow needed overtime even after getting 6 interceptions off the Jets to hang on to a victory when a
double digit underdog, and the truly putrid Raiders found a way to win, upending the Eagles who were huge favorites.

This week’s picks were a muddle, everyone went 3-2 or 2-3, it was pretty much how the bookies want it, everyone treading water.

Of course this week’s line-up has two more massive favorites, both of whom I can’t see going against in spite of the huge numbers
they are giving, the Patriots looked like the Patriots of old just flat out gutting the Titans and now face a horrible Tampa team playing
‘at home’ in London. While the Colts, fresh off a Bye week, get the Limbaugh tainted and horrible Rams to crush.

“Due” for a loss

Everyone’s been waiting for Denver to blow it, somehow they were getting 3.5 against the Chargers on Monday night,
and they won again, as you’re about to see, 3 out of the 4 winners of this week’s contest had Denver as their lock of the week,
so clearly there were some who knew this line was nuts. People always say a team is due for a letdown or a misstep.
Right now the ‘smart money’ is thinking Miami may even win on the field against the Saints, because the Saints are
on the road and came off a big win and might have a letdown. We’ll see if the smart money lives up to its name.

THE RESULTS

3-2 (Hit Lock)

Mike The Dealer (Lock: Denver)

Nic G (Lock: Denver)

Jeff G (Lock:  Steelers)

Peter Y  (Lock: Denver)

3-2 Missed Lock

Mike C.  (Lock: Eagles)

Everyone else was 2-3, said grouping included: Bartcop, The Other Bart, Tet, RRAD,
Big Mig, Rick R. Richardo M.  and JSC (No name just using part of his E-mail)
