George Lopez in a Box
TBS said "Welcome Conan" or leave

 Link

 Excerpt:
TALK show host George Lopez was allegedly told he’d be FIRED from TBS
if he didn’t welcome the network’s latest signing, Conan O’Brien, with open arms.

Sources have told the New York Post that Lopez’s delight at O’Brien’s arrival is an act.

“George was initially opposed to the idea of moving his time slot to make room for Conan on TBS,” said one insider.

“He was told that if he wasn’t supportive, his show would not be renewed. The Lopez camp is even more
disheartened by the fact that Conan’s contract states that if Lopez’s show is canceled, then Conan will develop
a show for the midnight hour, as well . . . it’s in Conan’s best interest for Lopez’s show to fail.”

Why is there such rampant stupidity in Hollywood?
Does anybody think Conan is funny?   (I do like Triumph and the Masturbating Bear)

He's going to do to TBS what he did to NBC - drive viewers away.

I would NOT want to be Conan O'Brien - even with his $44 million from NBC.
He had everything in the world - but he wanted more.
Soon, he'll have nothing but that $44M and he won't even have a show.

I feel sorry for George Lopez, too.
How would you feel if you had a great set-up and then your boss calls you in and says,
"We're giving your job to a guy who's not funny and you can have whatever crumbs are left?"

Worst of all, Lopez has to say, "I really look forward to getting screwed," with big smile on his face.

Hey Hollywood - when something's working great and you're making millions of dollars a day,
you might consider NOT screwing things up for no damn reason.
