My Brush with Greatness

Bart, being in the military I've had the opportunity to see a lot of USO shows and meet a few celebrities.

When I was in Afghanistan in 2008 we had some players from the NBA come through.
I got to meet Shawn Bradley, Tom Gugliotti (sp?) and Eldon Campell.
Of the three Eldon Campell was the nicest and most personable.  Shawn Bradley
didn't act like he was too happy to be where they were getting shot at - LOL.

He was actually kind of grumpy most times that I saw him.
And it seemed like I saw him everytime I turned around.

I would be in line at the chow hall, and 7' 6" Shawn Bradley would be behind me.
I'd go into an office, and there he was.  I'd be walking to the gym, and there's Shawn Bradley.

But the neatest guys I got to meet on that deployment were the guys from Sevendust.
They were the coolest, nicest, guys you could meet.

I'll save my other "brushes" for another time.

Glad you're feeling better.
Have a great holiday!
  Tony
