My Brush with Greatness
Hey Bart,
It was 1972 and I was a 17 year old
fresh outa high school in Toronto.
I landed a job with Hertz-Rent-A-Car for the princely sum of 120.00 a
week (ha ha)
Back then we offered a pickup service
from the airport, bus station, or train station.
Imagine my surprise when I was sent to pick up Xavier Hollander, jettin
around the country
on her book tour (The Happy Hooker).
Sadly my imagination was workin overtime - Don't forget I was 17 lol.
She was a real nice lady though and I
did get an autographed copy of her book.
Keep swingin the Big Hammer.
