My Brush with Greatness
I once worked as a
floor plan auditor for a major commercial bank.
Sometimes an auto dealer would have
financial problems and the bank would shut them down.
While at a dealership one day that we were closing down and taking
inventory, in walked Ozzie Newsome and Johnny Davis.
Of course Ozzie Newsome was a hall of
fame tight end for my beloved Cleveland Browns and Johnny Davis
was a pretty good running back with the Browns. Anyway I met both of
them and it was a thrill. Ozzie had
bought an auto dealership or two after he retired and he was looking at
this one to buy. Maybe not too exciting,
except how many people can say they met and shook hands with a football
hall of famer?
