My Brush with Greatness
Hey Bart
I had a limo company over here in NW
Arkansas for several years and got to meet alot of great folks,
most came to pay homage to the retail king. (Wal Mart?)
One of the funniest brushes not
with greatness but with something was with Henry Kissenger.
He came to Little Rock To speak at the Little Rock Chamber and The
Clinton Library, one of my long time
customers asked if I could come down there and drive them for a few
days i said sure.
After picking them up and taking them
where they needed to go me and Kissinger's body guard decided
We should go get something to eat as were driving and talking I asked
him if Kissenger really needed security
and if so, from whom.
He said "Yes, he does" but that his
security team couldn't stand him and quite honestly they may be the
ones
who He needed protection from. ha
ha I laughed all the way back to Fayetteville on
that one.
There were other great stories - I got
to spend time with Gregory Hines on his last tour just before he passed
away.
He was a great guy. And I have hundreds more brushes, but maybe that's
for another time.
Keep Swinging that hammer
Geoff in the Ville
Geoff, I'd like to hear more
of your Greatness stories.
