One thing that bothered me in the debate last week was when Smirk said that
Gore was going to appoint "Liberal Activist" Judges to the Supreme Court.
I am sick of the right-wing hatermongers twisting the word "liberal" into something bad.
I do not like the context in which republicans use this good and devine word.

Gore should have said:

"What is so bad about being a liberal activist?  After all Liberal activists fought for:
An end to Slavary
The 8 hour work day
Womens' Suffrage
Collective Bargaining
Child labor laws
Social Security
Gave us Brown vs. the Board of Education
Integration
Voting Rights Act
Civil Rights Act
Medicare
Medicaid
Foodstamps
Indigent legal services
Ameri-Corps
Unemployment compensation
Welfare
School lunch programs
Head Start
Public radio and television
Funding of the Arts
Affirmative Action
Peace Corps
Environmental regulations
 

Don't you think think that this is better than what conservative
and right-wing activists for for?  Here are some of their "causes:"
 

Remained Loyal to the monarchy of King George
Started our greatest war to defend slavery
Fought to keep women as property
Fought against child labor statutes
Gave us Plessy vs. Ferguson
Fought against the concept of free public education
Fought against the right of women to vote
Fought against anti-trust and monopoly legislation
Fought against workers organizing
Started WW2, murdered 13 million and caused the death of 40 million more
Defended Jim Crow for a hundred years
Fought against voting rights and civil rights
Fought against environmental statutes
Fought against social security, health care for the elderly and minimum wages.
Trying to pass legislation to keep gays from equal rights
They trying to enact the Racist Right's wish to eliminate affirmative action
Fighting for guns and for the easiest ways to kill people
always putting their wallets above the common good
 

Seams to me that we should be scared of "conservative activist" judges in our supreme court.
Don't you Gov. Bush?
 

Look, Liberals gave us Social Security when you addimantly fought against it
and now you are the one to "save" the program?
What the hell is up with that?

The American People need to remember that it is the liberals in America
that give them their freedoms not the social darwinist racists on the right."

If Gore had said that Bush would have been crying.
