JFK Stuff
you probably didn't know...
I am very well posted on certain aspects of the
tragic events of November 22, 1963 and the Zapruder film
was purchased by a couple of Life Magazine (or
Time/Life) reporters. There is really no factual basis upon
which to conclude Dan Rather had anything to
do with it (IMHO).
Note from Bart:
Rather was there, he screwed that up.
What is actually more interesting to this writer
is the fact that the same two Time/Life reporters who were
involved in nabbing the Zapruder film were almost
certainly the same two reporters who showed up at
Ruth Paine's house the night of the assassination.
(Marina Oswald was staying with Ruth Paine, and it was
at the Paine home that Oswald spent the night
before the assassination with the then-lovely Marina before
heading off to work at the Book Depository Friday
morning the 22nd of November). Said two reporters
showed up at the Paine residence after it had
been searched by local law enforcement late Friday afternoon,
Nov. 22, but before the premises were searched
for a second time on Saturday morning, November 23.
When the two reporters showed up unannounced
late Friday afternoon Ruth Paine gave them immediate
carte blanche to poke around her house and garage
(over the very vocal objections of Oswald's mother,
also present at the time).
What is interesting is this: the infamous
picture of Oswald holding a rifle and a copy of "The Daily Worker"
(or similar title--I'm blanking at the moment
on the title of the "Communistic" publication) which was published
to Oswald's great prejudice, wasn't discovered
until Paine's garage was searched on Saturday morning.
So, the first search yielded no photo of Oswald
with rifle (and it is clear from the contemporaneous police
reports the first search was a thorough one).
Then comes the second search of Paine's house and garage
on Saturday morning, at which time the photos
in question were "discovered" almost immediatley. So if the
Oswald photos were planted in Paine's garage
between the first and second searches (which I believe is
almost certainly the case) then our two intrepid
Life Magazine reporters are almost certainly the ones doing
the planting. One of the many directions
all of this points to is to the wife of Time/Life-founder Henry Luce,
Ms. Claire Booth Luce, whose name appears a lot
more than you might think in the 26 volumes of the
Warren Commission transcripts and exhibits.
If you find this interesting, I got more..
