Dear Bart,
It took until now to jump through the required
hoops for AOL and to have time
while my little guy is occupied. Mission
accomplished! I am getting ready to do
the bedtime routine and then I will get set up
on Earthlink. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I can't wait to talk to you, hopefully the house
will not fall down around our ears in the meanwhile.
If the house does not fall, then I also hope
that I won't fall either. That would be because the light
fixture fell out of the ceiling in the outside
hall and left a live wire hanging. The wire tripped the
circuit breaker and now we have no lights in
Adam's playroom or the hall. The steps are treacherous
when you can see and, of course, the dry
rot is best avoided. Then there is the matter of the main door
at the bottom of the steps, the children downstairs
like to leave it open at night for their cat.
The cat can wander in at will along with anybody
else and now no light to make them visible.
Same goes for privacy fence gate.
I am not worried, we have that nice HOLLOW door
to keep us safe from visitors in a DARKENED hallway!
Besides, the termites will probably get us before
a lurking stranger has time!
Well, maybe not termites, I am not up on my bugs.
I just know they are chewing the house up as
fast as the mildew is rotting it!
"Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy
the play?"
Later, and MANY thanks,
Julie
