Subject: nice letter about hating
Paris
Dear Bart:
Love ya like a brother from another mother but
I have to disagree with you here.
Marilyn Monroe and Cindy Crawford were/are beautiful
women;
Monroe became an icon and Crawford comes pretty
close to iconic status as well.
So, you like them more than Paris - maybe I agree..
They left a body of work that at least can be
pointed to and admired.
Marilyn Monroe tried to be taken seriously as
an actress even studying with Lee Strasberg.
What I'm hearing is,
"Henry Aaron was a top class ball player whereas
Babe Ruth was just a drunk who got
lucky."
You can say Crawford was a "real" model and Paris
isn't,
but how does any argument justify "She's
famous for being famous?"
C'mon, admit it - that's a super-stupid thing
somebody said (It remind me
of something Maureen Dowd would say) and it's
been repeated 10,000 times
and each time the offender thinks he's the coolest
cat who ever lived for saying it.
As far as Marilyn Monroe, I don't know much about
her acting ability but yeah,
it kinda has to be better than what I've seen
of Paris's serious acting.
Paris Hilton, on the other hand, is more infamous
than famous.
That's almost as bad as FFBF...
Take away Lawrence Welk and Mandy Moore and couldn't
you say that
about every entertainer worth paying to see?
Unfortunately, most of her publicity has been
negative and while her trust was horribly betrayed
with"One Night In Paris" it does speak to her
judgement in people she hangs around with.
You're right that she should've known better but
young girls do make mistakes and I think
it took a lot of courage and moxie (Is that still
a word?) to overcome that global infamy.
Think what it would be like to have a dozen guys
a day ask you for a blow job.
I think that would get real old real quick.
As for her latest brush with the law, she was
afforded every advantage she could have and still
managed to mess that up to the point of losing
her freedom, albeit temporarily. What we are
witnessing, is in an odd way, punishment for
the George W.Bushes of the world as it were.
I heard Wanda Sykes say, "Most
people can hardly get thru the day,
and here comes Paris Hilton who can't seem
to handle being rich."
We've grown weary of wealth with no purpose, no
responsibility or accountability.
One would think that having that kind of wealth
would at least make a better person or
at least one with some kind of class; unfortunately
that does not seem to be the case.
I didn't notice any nationwide outcry against
Rod Stewart's boy being charged with four
felonies
and getting out in less than an hour, which brings
us back to - is this because she's a woman?
Think back to the Super Bowl - nobody remembers
Timberlake was involved.
When a whorehouse gets raided, it's just the
girls who go downtown.
When a Madame gets arrested, the judge seals
her little black book.
And one other thing - this crap about what a slut
Parus Hilton is...
Let's put the shoe on the other foot.
Let's pretend your name is Dan, and you're suddenly
the hottest guy in Los Angeles and you
have the option to "date" every young hottie
in Hollywood, would you try to give me that
"My body is Christ's Temple" bullshit
or would you buy a gross of comdoms?
If Clooney does every starlet he meets, he's a
cool dude.
If a girl does every tenth guy, she's a nasty,
diseased slut who needs to be shunned.
Sexism plays a big part in this, "She
must be taken down" business..
Perhaps this will make her a bit more reflective
about her actions and appearances.
Invisible Cloud Being knows, it sure could have
helped a certain frat boy from Kennebunkport.
Dan
Let me attempt to clarify my position on Paris Hilton. I think she walked
around her whole
life in a fog. People who work with her always says she was nice and
polite and all that
but I don't think she was all there - and that suspension business
caught up to her.
Sidebar: I heard someone say when you get
your license taken away, the cops tell you,
"You can still drive, but only to and from
work," and you use your citation as your
license.
(In Oklahoma, a DUI citation can be used an as
ID to buy drinks)
If that's true, then all that shit she took for
asking per publicist (or whoever) about her license is
a legit point, because it's a foggy legal matter,
something she didn't handle herself.
I think this whole arrest thing hit her like a ton of lead.
She went from "The world is mine" to
"Christ, am I going to survive this?"
in just a matter of days and she seemed overwhelmed and panicked and
disoriented.
That's what I didn't like about all the piling on. The entire American
whore media machine
went after this overwhelmed and panicked and disoriented girl who seemed
to be retreating
into her childhood as a way to mentally cope with her crashing world..
I know, it's Paris Hilton so everybody says, "Screw
her,"
but when did we get into kicking disoriented girls after they fall?
But,
after hitting that wall and learning first-hand how much the country
hates her,
if she doesn't wise up and turn over a new leaf, if she gets caught
with another DUI,
then I'd agree she deserves whatever happens to her.
Whatever slack I'm cutting her for hitting the wall that hard
works against her the next time she has a few drinks and climbs behind
the wheel.
