America is in Trouble
Dear Church of Reality
members,
This country has become mindnumbingly stupid. We are on a course of
self destruction. The most powerful
country on the planet has adopted government by hostage-taking - and
you and I are the hostages.
If you think it was ugly a few weeks ago it's going to be far worse in
November. And I'm not sure what
I can do about it. I'm thinking about issuing a "downgrade" and issue a
warning that self destruction is not
a good idea. If we are to remain a member of reality, we have to
continue to exist.
Personally I think that the problems we have can be solved. But there's
only one way to do that. We are going
to have to become smarter, and we are going to have to realize that
it's going to be a lot of work and it's going
to take some time. There are no easy solutions. However, this might be
an opportunity to turn the world towards
reality. Humanity needs to have a more positive relationship with
reality if we are going to continue to exist.
So - I'm looking for a plan. But the first thing we need to do is to
become reality evangelists. (please don't be offended)
We need to talk about reality. We need to use the word over and over
because every time you say "Reality" the world gets a little smarter.
Someone needs to do this and that someone is us. We have to inject
Reality into the conversation. We have to
make the discussion about Reality. We need to insist that Reality is
the most important thing in the world and that
we as humans have to commit ourselves to continue to be a part of it.
We need to resist the Path of Extinction
and choose existence instead.
We as humans in many ways operate as a single mind. We have a
collective consciousness that continues to evolve.
When it comes to technology, humans have a good relationship with
reality. That's why we have all this cool technology,
know the age of the universe, and can cut organs out of one person and
implant them into someone else. But once you
get outside the world of the geek, humanity's relationship is on thin
ice, and we have to change that.
In order to do that we have to move the mind of humanity towards
reality. I personally believe that the argument
for the understanding of reality is the strongest argument out there
and can win on it's own merits. So in that sense
we have the advantage.
The bottom line is that humanity is in denial. We as a race are in
denial, and we are tinkering with the edge of
self destruction. We are moving away from reality and we need to turn
around and collectively embrace it.
We, as Realists, no longer have a lot
of time to allow this direction to continue. Quite frankly, it's
getting kind of
scary out there in an objective way. We have to say no to the
advancement of insanity. It is up to us to make
reality important to the human race.
I'm looking for ideas. In the mean time - post this email everywhere.
Every person on Earth needs to know the Realists are coming.
