Hey Bart,
I was privileged enough to have seen Queen like
77 or 78 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
I would have to dig out the memories box for
the exact date.
My Mom worked at the venue backstage so I was
invited back to meet some really
nice boys, Freddie and the gang. I was
a kid but still they were really cool guys.
Still probably the coolest thing my Mom ever did, although that list is quite long.

One of the best, hardest rocking albums ever
I saw Queen in 1975 too.
At the Santa Monica civic center.
I loved it, but I loved them then.
..(crosstalk) lo about the time punk rock
emerged. I remember
precisely the moment my musical preferences changed:
I was in the Navy stationed at NAS Norfolk and
I bought two albums one day - Foreigner and Pablo Cruise.
I had read great reviews of both and when I put
them on... well, they both sucked. Real bad.
Then all of the sudden I discovered Patti Smith,
the Talking Heads and Elvis Costello.
I had been a hard core music freak since I can
remember.
The very first concert I saw was Led Zeppelin
at the LA forum on their Stairway to Heaven tour in 72.
They did 6 encores.
I saw everybody in the 70s. Everybody played
LA.
But after 1977 dinosaur rock never quite sounded the same.
