Subject: Show 85

Hi Bart,

Show 85's OK. I know editing is a real pain in the ass but my
personal preference is the version with a few nips and tucks.
The flow is better.

Good commentary, though...
cheers

Dude, I don't understand.
Show 85 didn't have enough nips and tucks?

Thanks for sending in your opinion.

Hey Bart,

I think the live format is excellent.  Sure, there are a few bumps in the road,
but what the hell, reality isn't perfect unless you live in the bush-world.  Hah!

He's the one who can't remember ever making a mistake, right?

On the topic of sex education, I remember hearing back in the '70's about girls thinking they could douche
with Coca Cola after sex and prevent pregnancy.  Maybe that was an early variant of the morning after pill.

And, regarding pay raises for congress, they have that worked out REEEEAL nice.  The deal is that they
have to vote to NOT get a raise - if they don't get enough (or any) votes opposed to getting a nice raise
of 3 to 5 grand (maybe more?) at 2:00 in the fugging morning, then it's a done deal.
And hell no, they aren't going to put anything like that in the "Liberal Media"

You are the best, I can't wait to hear the rest of show 85.
Keep swinging that sledge!
Greg

Subject: Hot for Teacher

I brought my pencil!

BC, I don't need to hear the radio show to know what to say.

A bad decision on her part, but who knows, we haven't seen the boy, he's 14 and probably
looks like a greek god else she wouldn't have risked everything for a little piece (or more likely a big piece).

I know what I was like when I was 14. She's a wet dream.
The real crime is that nothing that this happened to me when I was 14.

Subject: Battery...

Bart:

For a crime you don't use Webster's, you use Black's or the code definition within the jurisdiction.
But I agree with you, the 14 year old boy was most likely not offended by this contact.

I'm sure that the offense belongs to the 14 year old's parents and/or the teacher's husband.
However, the boy was beneath the age of consent.

OK, but isn't that law about fifty years out of date?
Wally Cleaver didn't know where babies came from when he was seventeen.

The jurisdiction will therefore construct a lack of consent (because none could be lawfully issued).
And a touching without consent may constitute a battery depending on the statutory language.
I would think, however, that there must be simply a sex-with-minors prohibition that they'd use in this case.

Sure, they'd resort to something because the idea of a very hot older woman having relations with
a younger man would so totally piss off those dinosaurs in the senate, there HAD to be a crime, here.

On the other hand, you'd view this case a lot differently if the teacher were a man,
and the 14 year old was your daughter.  Fair's fair in this day of sexual equality.
Jim H.

Jim, it's a salute to America that we can be good friends when you're so totally wrong.
If young girls were walking sexual time bombs, and great-looking men couldn't be bothered with sex,
you might have a point but the "men and women are equal" claim was discredited decades ago.

Men are taught to hunt sex.
Men are revered if they have dozens of notches on their belt when they reach the age of 21.
Women are taught that if they have sex, the man "won" and they "lost."

A man is "007" if he's bagged a dozen babes.
A woman is "a slut" if she has a third as many lovers.
To a schoolkid going crazy with hormones, a teacher beats any movie star or Princess Diana.

With sex, there is no "other hand."

Subject: Johnny got his gun

Hello Bart,

Just listening too 85-6 whan you mentioned how, with our advances in medicene, we can save a person
sans arms, legs, ears AND eyes! I immediately thought about Dalton Trumbo's "Johnny Got His Gun"
written after the war to end all wars...WWI.

I read it first in '75. "They" ban it every chance they get. Don't wanta discourage the cannon fodder!
It is a good read though sad as it is & a strong indictment of war.

Ciao for now!
Peace!
Ms M

EXCERPT: "If you make a war if there are guns to be aimed if there are bullets to be fired if there are men
to be killed they will not be us. They will not be us the guys who grow wheat and turn it into food the guys
who make clothes and paper and houses and tiles the guys who build dams and power plants and string the
long moaning high tension wires the guys who crack crude oil down into a dozen different parts who make
light globes and sewing machines and shovels and automobiles and airplanes and tanks and guns oh no,
it will not be us who die. It will be you."

Subject: no man, it's the oil

Bart!

you spanked murtha but good for saying "practicable." You are right  on that he should have used
regular guy language that everyone can  immediately understand, but that's not why his idea got voted down.
Hell, any politician should know better than to use "50-cent" words  when s/he expects to get the support of EVERYbody listening.

Were in eye rack for the oil and we're stayin there for same, and all  the speechin and spinnin' won't change that.

America has *no* plan for how to get off oil.
We're hooked on it like heroin and will do whatever we have to to keep our supply.

Hey Bart, Show 85 is a killer.  I expect you will be on the air soon,
but I actually prefer being able to listen to your show whenever I want to.
