Yo, Bart.
Many thanks for the radio subscription; you're helping to keep it straight, man. Keep it up.
I get bent out of shape when they try to paste
the label of anti-gun on Democrats.
I think that's the left-wing fringe that speaks
that language. I firmly believe that I have
the right to firearms; I also believe that self-defense
is a personal responsibility.
As I've read on a gun board - "When seconds count,
the police are only minutes away."
My preference runs to Sig Sauer and Beretta -
I've got a Sig P225 and a Beretta M-9
(same as I used in the Air Force). Haven't
tried a Glock yet, but it's only a matter of time.
You're doing what we need in this political environment
- keep it up.

Mick, for years on this page I've asked, "If you awake to breaking
glass,
what do you do to protect your family? Call the police?"
I've never gotten a satisfactory reply.
If you live in a $500,000 home, the police might even show up
quickly.
But even if you have tons of money, will they get there in time?
If you live in a $30,000 home, like Jennifer
Hudson's mom,
maybe the police will show up in the next 30 minutes - maybe they won't.
But when you hear breaking glass, you have to assume the
bastard (or bastards)
are armed and you have to assume they mean harm to your
family.
And don't forget my good friend Michael Moore, who recently said he
didn't
need a gun because he was rich and could afford private security (paraphrasing).
Unless you live in a building (like Friends) where a scream
will bring ten people,
owning a gun is the only thing that makes sense.
Trusting the lives of your family to faith in God or the police is flat-out
crazy and
I'd love to debate 22-times-more-likely-to-die Rachel Maddow on this
subject.
