Bart, I am not attacking you..merely stating a fact.
I have a dark skin and am an immigrant to boot..
At 65, I have been called a "foreign nigger bastard" by American blacks....that was not with affection.
Nigger used among blacks was/ is with affection. I remember when Negro was used to describe an African American.
Then Colored and then Black. Today Negro and Nigger are Taboo.
When I first entered the country, in the 60's I used Nigger in all innocence.
From where I hail, blackface singers were called "Nigger Minstrels." My room mate corrected me.
All that Dr. Laura was pointing out was the double standard.
In order to point that out she had to use the full word instead of an euphemism.
That I felt was comparable to you using the word repeatedly.
All you had to do was to use it once and query 'why did she have to use it repeatedly'.
To do that would not have been effective.
That was all I meant to point out.
You used it for effect. She used it for effect.
Or were you using it for any other reason?

I see it an an honesty issue.
Everyone who hates Obama but can't say why is thinking "that f-ing nigger."
What purpose does it serve to pretend that situation doesn't exist?
Laura was whining that Blacks get to use it but she's not allowed to.
When I use it, I'm just taking the filter off the language they use behind closed doors.
I often say that I use the language most Americans use.
Republicans and Teabaggers use "nigger" like we say "car" or "tree."
They should be called on that.
BTW, Muslim is another code word for nigger. When they say "Obama is a Muslim,"
what they're really saying is, "Don't you just hate them damn niggers?"
