Bush Garrots Democracy
by Robert Parry  as seen on  consortiumnews.com

 Link

 Excerpt:
...after evidence surfaced about abuse of detainees in U.S. custody, Congress enacted a law in December 2005
barring degrading and inhumane treatment of these terrorism suspects. After first opposing the legislation, Bush
signed the law, but he then declared in a "signing statement" that he would not be bound by the law.

A similar theory applies to Bush's claim to "plenary" powers, which supposedly let him as Commander in Chief
brush aside constitutional provisions, including the Fourth Amendment requirement of a court warrant based on
"probable cause'' to justify government searches and the constitutional right to habeas corpus, a fair trial.

Hastert Gave the Dems the House
Will they be smart enough to accept it?

 Link

 Excerpt:
If the Democrats can finally create some message discipline, Dennis Hastert just gave them
control of the House of Representatives in the fall election.

In a debate over extending tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations, Hastert justified the rip-off of the
middle class and poor with these words: "well, folks, if you earn $40,000 a year and have a family of two,
you don't pay any taxes. So you probably if you don't pay any taxes, you are not going to get a big tax cut.
Now, if you earn $1 million a year, you are going to pay about $400,000 of taxes. Maybe you'll get a $40,000 tax cut ..."

Message to Dems: Take this quote and run on it until the last vote is counted. You've been looking for an
opening to the working families who can swing enough districts to retake the House, and Hastert just gave it to you.

So, if you make $40K or less, follow the Speaker's suggestion and don't pay any taxes.

2 in CIA to Testify Libby Lied on Leak

 Link

 Excerpt:
Prosecutors say Libby learned Plame's identity from, among others, agency officials
who will be called to testify at his trial for perjury, false statements and obstruction of justice.

The U.S. alleges he learned about Plame from one of the CIA officials when he went after dirt on
her husband, Joseph Wilson. Wilson shattered Bush's rationale for war - the Iraq nuke nonsense.

Both CIA officials - including a top architect of the 2003 Iraq invasion - discussed Plame with Libby
a month before douchebag/columnist Robert Novak blew her cover in July 2003, prosecutors charge.
Libby has said journalists told him about Plame - not Cheney or the six witnesses named so far by prosecutors.

When will YOU support a real alternative to these corporate thieves?
You say an alternative can not be viable, so what will be the tipping point for YOU?

In theory, I support a having a lot of parties but as long as 49 % vote GOP,
it's crazy to splinter the sane people into factions that are guaranteed to lose.

Let's get control of the White House and congress.
Once we do that we can un-unite and fight like cats & dogs.

We Widely Distrust our Leaders Bush
It's tough to trust a lying, thieving murderer

    "I am not!"

 Excerpt:
A new poll confirms Americans are distrustful of leaders across the societal spectrum.
Three out of four (75%) said they trust government less than they did five years ago,

No, that should read,"Three out of four (75%) said they trust Bush less than Clinton."
There is no "government," there is only the crooks who make up the government.

Just 5% said they think corporations do right by the consumers they are in business to serve,
and only 25% feel the reporting is fair and accurate in the newspapers and network news.
Nearly 60% said they believe the "state of honesty in America" today is in poor shape
(18% said it is in the worst possible shape).

Last week, Bush visited Arizona., to tour a portion of the border by Border Patrol buggy.
Maybe Jorge was doing a little measuring for the $3.2-million-a-mile fence the Senate
recently approved, which I guarantee will be really helpful.

Are they insane? As Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano observes,
"Show me a 50-foot wall, and I'll show you a 51-foot ladder."

Meanwhile, Republicans in the Senate have constructively declared English the national language.
That'll fix everything.

Every foreigner at our borders will stop and say: "Gosh, ma foi! English is the national language here.
Good thing to know. I'll begin speaking it immediately."

Yes sir, you want a solution, call a Republican.

A Sudden Taste for the Law
by Bush's employees at the NYWTimes

 Link

 Excerpt:
It's hard to say which was more bizarre about AG Gonzales's threat to prosecute The Times for revealing
Bush's illegal spying program: his claim that a century-old espionage law could be used to muzzle the press
or his assertion that the administration cares about enforcing laws the way Congress intended.  Gonzales said
on Sunday that a careful reading of some statutes "would seem to indicate" that it was possible to prosecute
journalists for publishing classified material. He called it "a policy judgment by Congress in passing that kind
of legislation," which the executive is obliged to obey."

Clinton's Marriage is MY F-ing Business
by Patrick Healy (R-Handjob) at the NY Whore Times

 Link

 Excerpt:
When the subject of the Clintons comes up for many sad and lonely assholes these days,
Topic A is the state of their marriage — as tho it was anybody's goddamn business.
Sadly, losers and pricks tend to live their lives thru the lives of winners.

Desperate-to-lose Democrats say it is inevitable that in a campaign that could return Bill to the
White House, could cause some voters to be concerned or distracted by the man who gave us
eight years of peace and prosperity, as tho that distraction wouldn't be damn welcome.

The NYW Times vs the Clintons

 Link

 Excerpt:
When the New York Whore Times prints a news story in its own private code, as it did with today's (above)
Page One article "Clintons Balance Married and Public Lives," veteran readers grope through it, sentence by
sentence, in hopes of piecing together the article's true meaning. Even the headline of reporter Patrick Healy's
piece appears coded. It alleges a Bill and Hillary "balance," but, specifying no fulcrum upon which the relationship
firmly rests, it invites the reader to conjure up a wobbling teeter-totter.

The story claims that the "state of their marriage" is "Topic A" for "many prominent Democrats" without ever saying
how or why it ranks so high. And who are the many prominent Democrats? If they are many, why aren't they
represented in the piece? Or do Healy and his editors count "one, two, three, many" when enumerating their subjects?"

The whore Times has hated our best president while covering up the crimes for the worst.
The Old Gray Lady is a toothless whore who sold her dignity and reputation to the BFEE.

Subject: question

Can Gore win the black vote from you-know-who in the primary?

The reason I am asking is because I think the black vote will decide the race
(and the conventional wisdom is that you-know who has it sewn up).

Ask your black readers who they think would win the African American vote
in a heads up primary battle between Gore and you-know-who.

Subject: BCR Show 93

Hey Bart;
I am glad you are out there doing what you do. Listened to part one of BCR #93.
Your bit about gays (and having to start each day), had me spewing coffee all over my keyboard.

Part Two seemed to be just music...listened for a few minutes and moved on.
It sounded like King Crimson-inluenced rock.

Part Three  I do not think was too good. Your inability to comprehend that part of
the "sucker" instruction had me calling you a dumbass (maybe it was the Tequila?).
 Parker1

I will not confirm how much tequila disappeared during that show.
Part Two had 36 minutes of talk, but yes, that was a mistake that Tommy would usually catch,
but he was in Vegas last week so I had to fly solo for BCR 93.  That was something from ther
first Styx album, and I apparently hit "save file" when I should've hit "saved selection."

But also, Randi Rhode's four hour show is 2:20 without the commercials.
Is a four minute (accidental) rock song that hard to tolerate?

Thanks for the feedback.
When it includes criticism I know I'm getting the real thing.

Subject: Arianna's right

I think Arianna's right.  I am a republican doing my best to get the idiot in the White House out of office.

I voted for Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004 and they both let me down.
You know why? Because they didn't fight until the end.
Now Al and John are out speaking their minds.

Clinton's wife, (for all of her positive qualities will more than likely get my vote if she runs in 2008) is falling into
the same trap as Gore and Kerry.  The people who  will scream the loudest if she calls Bush an idiot are
those who wouldn't vote for her anyway.  Hannity, Fat Boy, Wild Bill will jump up and down and denounce
her and Bill, but so what?  Who gives a flying f--- what they think.  Since when it is bad politics to tell the truth?
Lord knows that we could us some in Washington, D.C.

 Excerpt:
Randy "Duke" Cunningham gets busted for taking bribes from defense contractors who wooed him
with money and whores. Those defense contractors were looking to get contracts within the intelligence

(and that was before the 2002 Halliburton Upgrade)

Once the sick bastard invades, that's 6 M barrels a day
times today's oil price which is  $71.76 a barrel
makes $431,560,000 dollars Bush will steal daily

Subject: oil spills

BC, two little known facts about the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska.

What Florida beaches could look like

1.  They still have not paid the fisherman for damages, many have sold their obats or died since the spill.

2.  On June 1st another deadline passes.
There was $100.000.000 set aside for further damages unknown at the time of the spill and clean up effort.
I believe the president or the governor must ask for the money to be spent or it is gone for good.

Let's see if the liberal media covers this at all.
My money is on neither public servant sticking up for the people, environment, or state.
