Moon, North Korea & the Bushes
by Robert Parry  (Originally published on October 11, 2000)

 consortiumnews.com

 Excerpt:
Given the nuclear crisis involving North Korea, we are republishing, with minor revisions, this 2000 article
about millions of dollars allegedly funneled from the Rev. Sun Myung Moon -  The Washington Times
founder and a Bush family financial backer - to leaders of North Korea's communist dictatorship in the 1990s:

The Rev. Sun Myung Moon's business empire, which includes the right-wing Washington Times, paid millions
of dollars to North Korea's communist leaders in the early 1990s when the hard-line government needed foreign
currency to finance its weapons programs, according to U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency documents.

The payments included a $3 million "birthday present" to current communist leader Kim Jong Il and offshore
payments amounting to "several tens of million dollars" to the previous communist dictator, Kim Il Sung.

Moon apparently was seeking a business foothold in North Korea, but the transactions also raised potential
legal questions for Moon, who appears to have defied U.S. embargos on trade and financial relations with
the Pyongyang government. Those legal questions were never pursued, however, apparently because of
Moon's powerful political connections within the Republican power structure of Washington, including
financial and political ties to the Bush family.

Quotes

"Cheney he called to complain that I was quoting him about Kissinger.
I had interviewed Cheney last year a couple of times at length, on-the-record interviews,
but he volunteered, he said, "Oh, by the way, Henry Kissinger comes in" and he, Cheney,
sits down with him once a month. And Cheney was upset I was quoting him. And I said,
"Look, this on-the-record doesn't have anything to do with Ford, you volunteered that."
He then used a word which I can't repeat on the air and he hung up on me.

One Day in Bush's Iraqi Paradise

The brother of Iraq's VP was dragged from his home, Gonzalezed and killed.
Iraq's VP's other brother and sister were Gonzalezed and killed.earlier this year.
Why would any Iraqi want to allign themselves with America's Murder Monkey?

At least 400 Iraqi cops were poisoned.
More than 4,000 Iraqi cops have been murdered since Bush's bloody invasion.
The insurgents are using the GOP trick of setting off a bomb that kills dozens,
then when police and doctors arrive to help, the second bomb goes off.

Over 110 bodies were found strewn about Baghdad just yesterday.
The bodies showed signs of Gonzales.

A car bomb (made from Bush-supplied C4 explosives) ripped thru a market
in Baghdad, killing at least 10 and wounding 23.

Gunmen kidnapped 11 Iraqi cops in Sadr City.
Their bodies, showing signs of Gonzales, will be found tomorrow, strewn about the city.

...and Bush says we need to stay the course?

Kolbe warned GOP about Foley in 2001

 cnn.com

 Excerpt:
Rep. Jim Kolbe said Tuesday he knew of e-mails that made a page "uncomfortable"
and passed them on to Foley's office and the House clerk.

Though the WaHoPot reported that Kolbe, R-Arizona, learned of the e-mails in 2000,
Kolbe's spokeswoman, Korenna Cline, said it may have been later, perhaps 2001.
Kolbe was a member of the House Page Board when the e-mails were brought to his attention.

"Some time after leaving the page program, an individual I had appointed as a page contacted
my office to say he had received e-mails from Rep. Foley that made him uncomfortable,"
Kolbe said in a written statement

How Bush Created a Nuclear North Korea
They try to blame Clinton but Bush is guilty

 politicalcortex.com

 Excerpt:
Blame Clinton?
Yeah right!

Clearly, the Bush Administration is, by far, the causal factor in Kim Jong Il's entry into Earth's 'Nukular' Club.
They can blame Clinton all they want. At least he did something about this rising calamity. In 1994, the Clinton
Administration reached an agreement with the DPRK that successfully froze North Korea's nuclear production
for the next eight years.

Bush, on the other hand has offered NOTHING except provocation and motivation for the DPRK to invest
in nuclear weapons. Although many factors led to this devastating milestone, the buck unambiguously stops
with the Bush administration.

How Bush let North Korea get nukes

 washingtonmonthly.com

Excerpt:
After a few shrill diplomatic exchanges over the uranium, Pyongyang upped the ante. The North Koreans
expelled the international inspectors, broke the locks on the fuel rods, loaded them onto a truck, and drove
them to a nearby reprocessing facility, to be converted into bomb-grade plutonium. Bush stood by and did
nothing. Why did Bush - his foreign policy avowedly devoted to stopping "rogue regimes" from acquiring WMDs
- allow one of the world's most dangerous regimes to acquire the makings of the deadliest WMDs?

Too bad we can't get the Democrats to list the facts.
It would help them win next month - but they don't want to win.

Rummy Sold Nukes to N Korea

 Excerpt:
Colin Powell lauded what is known as the Agreed Framework that Clinton signed with North Korea.
"Lots of nuclear weapons were not made because of the Agreed Framework and the work of Clinton
and his team," Powell said. Now, conservatives are faulting Clinton for selling light water reactors to
North Korea under the agreement, but in doing so, they overlook Donald Rumsfeld's role in the deal.

Rumsfeld was the only American to sit on the board of a company which six years ago sold two
light water reactors to North Korea. The Guardian reported in May 2003:

Rumsfeld was a non-executive director of ABB, a European engineering giant based in Zurich,
when it won a $200m contract to provide the design and key components for the reactors.
The current defense secretary sat on the board from 1990 to 2001, earning $190,000 a year.

Subject: Stabenow

Yesterday, Janet said Democrats in Michigan should support Stabenow regardless of her vote for
the torture bill are my sentiments exactly. I don't live in Michigan but believe Stabenow voted for
the torture bill because it was guaranteed to pass even if she voted against it. She did what was
politically necessary so her Republican opponent couldn't lie and say her vote against the torture bill
amounted to supporting the terrorists.

Too many Democrats focus on one vote instead of looking at the bigger picture.
I've written Her twice to complain about her blind support of Israel
but I'd much rather have Her as President than any Republican.

Train Jumps Tracks
   by Gene Lyons

 nwanews.com

 Excerpt:
Only weeks ago, GOP campaign officials were breathing smoke and fire.
According to Rep. Tom Reynolds, R-N. Y., the chairman of the Republican Congressional Committee,
hapless Democrats had no idea what they were up against. Relentlessly negative TV commercials funded
by the party's $50 million war chest were about to bury Democratic candidates under an avalanche of
charges dug up by so-called opposition research - unpaid student loans, late tax payments, embarrassing
lawsuits, etc. "We haven't even begun to unload this freight train," Reynolds boasted to The New York Times.
Asked why the party that currently controls the White House and both houses of Congress wasn't stressing
positive themes in its TV ads, he burst out laughing. "If they moved things to the extent that negative ads
move things," he said, "there would be more of them." A few days later, Reynolds himself got run over by
an off-schedule freight train in the form of the nastiest Washington sex scandal in decades. It's doubtful
he's laughing now. Reynolds, see, is the guy who says he and Boehner, warned Hastert last spring about
Foley's "overly friendly" e-mails to 16-year old congressional pages.

The speaker (claims he) recalls no such meeting.

Subject: WTF?

Hey Bart, who are these Paris and Nicole creatures?

They are rich kids with worldwide fame.

What have they EVER DONE?
What do they STAND FOR?
Are they SMART?
Do they WORK?

They have a TV show, but they don't need the salary it pays.
Paris was recently paid $400,000 to attend a party.

I work at a job that can KILL ME; nobody's taking pictures of me.

How do you look in a bikini?

Who ARE these people? Is this country really that vapid, that stunted,
that lame, that NOBODIES are front page news?

Sure...

Jesus, God...they aren't even pretty.
They've got the bodies of BOYS...scrawny boys.

I think Nicole could use a pizza or two...

but I think Paris is attractive and she models clothes
better than any supermodel I've ever seen..

If I was the last man on Earth, and they were the last women on Earth,
the human race would be FINISHED.

*I* would step up and save the human race.

Why is anybody paying attention to these drainers-of-life?

They sell magazines, newspapers and TV commercials and they generate
much-needed page views for tequila treehouses that are barely getting by.
About 6 months ago, if you searched for "Paris Hilton" on Google,
bartcop.com  was the first thing you'd see.

The only thing that could make them worse would be
if they were Linda Tripp and Katherine Harris.

Bush has murdered 655,000 Iraqis

 Link

 Excerpt:
More than 2,660 Iraqi civilians were killed in Baghdad in September,
an increase of 400 over the month before, according to Bush's Iraqi Health Ministry.

The September numbers come as a new study says that 655,000 Iraqis have died
in the three-year-old bloody invasion that has killed 2754 American soldiers.

When asked to comment, Bush dangled his preposition saying,
"Killing people is the only job I've even been good at."

The Stench of Hypocrisy

 Link

 Excerpt:
Newt Gingrich, the shameless hypocrite who left Congress under a cloud of ethical questions and
publicly chastised Bill Clinton while nailing a staffer, is now claiming Democrats have bigger sex scandals
than Republicans.

"What we don't have to do is allow our friends on the left to lecture us on morality," Gingrich said
at a party fundraiser in Greenville, SC, Wednesday. "There's a certain stench of hypocrisy."
Gingrich should know something about the stench of hypocrisy. He stinks to high heaven from it.

This hypocrite is the man who served his first wife with divorce papers while she lay in a hospital bed.
He divorced his second wife after his screwing of a House staffer became public while he was Speaker
of the House and leading the GOP charge against Clinton.  This is the same Newt Gingrich who used
to take campaign volunteers back to his car and so they could give him blow jobs.

Subject: Why is the GOP running behind?

Some say it's because of the Foley scandal.
Evangelicals took credit for electing Republicans they are now taking the blame.
Putting a gay predator in charge of the exploited children isn't what Evangelicals wanted.

However others think it's not just the Foley cover up that is sinking the GOP.
Every day hundreds of new bodies are discovered in Iraq and more of our soldiers
come home in a box from a war that has made America weaker and headed for defeat.

Then there's the general population that are just tired of Bush's bad judgment.
He ignored the warnings before 9-11. Then there was "Mission Accomplished" and "Bring 'em on!",
Katrina and super-high gas prices.

So even though the Foley scandal is huge, it's just the latest scandal in a long record of failures.
America is just tired of heading in the wrong direction.

Subject: Let's impeach our way out of Iraq

Bush has so badly lied himself into a corner that he now needs the bipartisan Iraq Study Group,
headed by James Baker to tell the American public that things are rapidly going south in Iraq.

There's a real sense that the clock is ticking, that Bush is desperate for a change, but no one
in the White House can bring themselves to say so with this election coming. But media reports
of the situation on the ground in Iraq should tell the American people that Bush  is lying to them
about the prospects for success there.  It is unclear whether even this commission is capable of
telling the truth about Iraq. Bush clearly knows that he made a huge mistake by invading Iraq.

He is looking for a graceful way to get out, but there is none.
Oh how he would love to cut and run.

Media Whores Gone Wild

The idiot cows who run the American whore media think the biggest story of the week,
bigger than the GOP sex crimes, bigger than North Korea exploding a nuke, is the story
that Barbara Streisand told some anti-free speech handjob to shut the fuck up in New York.

The whorish bastards are giggling as tho they caught Streisand raping a House page.

It's not news that these whoring clowns see some other network run a story so,
like some wild animal, they're compelled to do whatever the other network did.

In this case, FOX News ran with the story first and whore CNN, so terribly afraid that
some Fascist might say they're soft on Streisand, panics and gets their talking asses to
discuss this all-important topic, I suppose, to keep our children safe.

I hate the whorish clowns that run our media.

Subject: Why She will win

Hey Bart, great page. I've been reading for years,
Here is why Hillary is looking strong.

Consider Gore and Kerry. Both are letting fly rumors about 2008 runs.
Both were pasted bad last time out. Since then nothing of their conduct  conduct has changed.
They are sitting ducks once again. Waiting to get hit.

Hillary thru Bill has served notice. Not only can they be counted on to fight back, smart and hard,
they can play offense as well. The right will attack, but they have to be carefull.  As soon as the
right attack from their FOX Holes they are going to take hits. They are not used to that.

Americans are not used to Democrats that fight for keeps. The message that has been sent
is that it's going to be a fight. I think Americans will like the change and put her in office.

Thanks
Sean

I think America is SO ready for change that She'll win easily.
When she becomes the candidate, Clinton 44 and Bill will be a double-barreled blast of fresh air.
The GOP will be as helpless as Bush 41 and Dole were when Clinton steamrolled them.

One thing?
Watch what you say, because some Democrats get angry as hell
if you mention that the Democratic front-runner has a chance to win.

Yep, that's what I said.
Congrats on a successful copy and paste.
Not every monkey can do that.

Your gratuitous assertion that She approves of "torture and endless war" is not supported by the facts.
