"This election isn't about Republicans vs.
Democrats. It's about Reality vs. Denial.
We can either vote to accept reality

Canada's
New Bush-Style Politics
by my good friend, Tulsa's Richard Fricker
consortiumnews.com
Excerpt:
As an American journalist visiting my wife's
relatives in Canada, I've always been struck by how
ardently the country's political discourse focused
on substance - the budget, health care, schools,
roads - with little of the cheap theatrics and
angry divisiveness of U.S. politics and punditry.
But in my visit this past summer, I noticed that
the tone of Canada suddenly had changed.
There was a nastier edge to the commentary. It
was as if a virus that had long infected the people
south of the border had overnight jumped containment
and spread northward establishing itself in
a new host population. But - as I began to study
this new phenomenon - it became clear that this
infection did not just accidentally break quarantine.
Rather, it was willfully injected into the Canadian
body politic by conservative strategists and
right-wing media moguls who had studied the modern
American model and were seeking to replicate it.

Macacawitz
Arrested in 1973 and 1974
For putting a bloody deer head in a black family's mailbox,
maybe?
news.yahoo.com
Excerpt:
The following was issued today by VelvetRevolution
regarding Sen. Macacawitz.
According to the Virginia Index of Warrants from
January 1, 1974, George Felix Allen
was named as a defendant in a criminal case filed
by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
There was also a criminal hearing held for George
Felix Allen on February 15, 1973.
Senator Allen, VelvetRevolution
wants to know why you were arrested
and we ask that you release
the files in these cases immediately.
The citizens of this country
and the state of Virginia have a right to know.
Maybe it's better if he refuses to say.
We'll just assume it was "domestic terrorism" for stalking that black

For years, Bush wouldn't mention the word oil.
Things are different now.
At his press conference on Wednesday, he brought
up the dirty little word
three times as a reason for the United States
now to stay in Iraq.
"We can't tolerate a new terrorist state in the
Middle East, with large oil reserves
that could be used to fund its radical ambitions,
or used to inflict economic damage
on the West," he said the first time. "Extreme
elements" in Iraq "want to control oil
resources," he said at second reference. "They've
got the capacity to use oil as an
economic weapon," he said the third time.
This is beyond cynical.
Bush understood that oil wasn't a sellable reason
for invading Iraq,
but now it's supposed to be a selling point for
staying there?
The Bush propagandists were right the first time.
The American people won't abide by another 2,745
U.S. deaths
or another 20,687 U.S. injuries for oil in Iraq.
But at least now Bush admits what it's all about.
I'm less confused about this.
Bush is stealing about $400K a day in Iraq.
If we just walk away (which is a better option all the time)
who gets the $3B a week to use against us?
Hey, I know!
Let's stay until Bush steals all of Iraq's resources!
It's so easy - why didn't I think of it sooner?

Subject: 655,000 dead Iraqis
Bart,
The medical journal Lancet published
an article that put the total number of Iraqis
that died since the invasion at 655,000 more
than the death rate before the invasion.
Nearly 16,000 more Iraqis are dying every month
than when Saddam was in power.
This was the most scientifically accurate measurement
yet, meeting very stringent standards
of how to determine the number of people who
have died. The study was reviewed by a
large number of scientists, all of whom were
surprised by the number but who agreed that
the methods used were the best possible.
Since it is scientific, however, Bush has to call it
"not credible" -- even though it is by far the
most credible estimate to date.

Bush Murders
Online Poker
betanews.com
Excerpt:
Bush has signed a bill whose principal purpose
is to tighten security at the nation's sea ports.
But attached to that bill at the very last minute
-- in order to prevent Democrats running for
re-election next month from stopping it -- was
a federal ban on banking institutions knowingly
transferring funds that may be used for having
fun.
It isn't an outright gambling ban, but for most
online poker operators -- most of whom, curiously,
reside outside the US -- it may as well have
been. The law mandates that banks work out some
type of transaction security system within the
next nine months, that can electronically block funds
transfers to institutions on Bush's blacklist.
Instead of securing our borders and checking airline freight packages
for bombs,
Bush and his child-molesting thugs are protecting us from playing poker
online.
I assume the casinoes paid heavily for their monopoly?
I suggest you send this to the Fascist bastards who regularly disregards
your e-mails:
I am a voter, I am a poker player and
I am mad.
Under your watch, instead of catching
bin Laden or winning wars,
Congress has decided to outlaw playing
poker on the Internet.
You have an opportunity to correct this
injustice.
Poker is a great American game.
Poker is entertainment, like golf or
going to a movie.
You've taken away my entertainment
and I'm not happy about it.
Please amend this abortion of democracy
to exempt poker.
I am a voter, I am a poker player and
you've made a mistake.
You can still gamble on state lotteries, which is without skill,
but you can't gamble on something you're good at - that's bullshit.
Until they screwed this up, you could play real poker for $6
online.
I can play at the local Indian Casino, but it's $200
minimum.
This big wasn't about "protecting" anybody.
They're "protecting" us like they "protected" those House pages.
It's just more Republican hatred and greed.
They can't stand to see somebody have a good time - unless they get
a cut.
That's why pot is still illegal - because you can grow
it yourself.
If they can't steal money from you (liquor tax) they decide it's a
crime
Also:
Harry Reid (D-Wimp, Apologizer), whose home-state casinos are split

before agreeing to go along like he always does. Link.

He's a crook and his daughter's a crook

The FBI is investigating whether Rep. Curt Weldon
(R-Whore), used his influence to secure
lobbying and consulting contracts for his daughter,
sources said Saturday.
The inquiry focuses on lobbying contracts worth
$1 million that Weldon's daughter, Karen Weldon,
obtained from foreign clients and whether they
were assisted by the congressman, they said.
Weldon, a 10-term Republican from the Philadelphia
suburbs, long has denied any wrongdoing,
and his top aide said Saturday no one had notified
him of an investigation. "I think if there was an
investigation, somebody would have contacted
us," said a clueless Weldon staffer.

Results from an initial air sampling after North
Korea's announced nuclear test showed
no evidence of radioactive particles that would
be expected from a successful nuclear
detonation, a U.S. government intelligence official
said Friday.
The readings reinforce uncertainty about the size

the explosion was smaller than expected.

Republican Rep. Christopher Shays says Abu Ghraib
was more about porn than torture.
The nut, who is in a tough re-election fight,
said a Maryland National Guard unit was responsible.
"It was a National Guard unit run amok," Shays
said, spit-spraying a reporter from the Whore AP.
"It was torture because sex abuse
is torture. This is more about pornography than torture."
In fact, the 372nd Military Police Company is
an Army Reserve unit not National Guard.
Shays sought to defuse controversy over previous

abuses weren't torture but instead involved a
sex ring of troops.
"Now I've seen what happened in Abu Ghraib, and
Abu

Shays said at a debate Wednesday.
"It was outrageous, outrageous involvement of
National Guard troops from (Maryland)
who were involved in a sex ring and they took

But
it wasn't torture."

This was worded that way on purpose because Bush

What I don't understand is why Congress didn't
go after Bush because they did not declare war and the
evidence was not there. Even the countries around
Iraq at that time said there felt they were in no danger
from Iraq, and the stupid stories coming out

just made me sick to think there were that many

Staff members at Shaabiya TV were working around
the clock to get the new station ready

At 7 a.m., suspected Shiite militiamen, some dressed

The brazen attack underlined the danger for the

Subject: Why I'm a Monkey
I couldn't stop laughing when I heard that the
communist / terrorist radio network,
Air Amerika filed for bankruptcy. This
proves a number of things.
1. Liberals don't know how to run a business
That's possibly true in this case.
Someone said instead of syndicating like the
Facsist blowhards,
AAR chose to buy teeny, tiny stations and that
screwed them from the start.
2. Air Amerika are a bunch of liars. Just
last month they said they would not file for bankruptcy.
You mean compared to the vulgar Pigboy, O'Reilly
and Hannity?
If you had some credibility (or even a web site)
we could gamble on that.
I'll bet I can find ten lies on Rush before you
could find one on AAR.
But you have no credibility - you're a gay porn
star, who just recently finished filming "Grand
Theft Anal."
3. They had no revenue because companies don't
want to advertise on a radio station that has no ratings.
Not true. Last time I tried to advertise, they
said I'd need to come up with
a lot more than $5300 if I wanted to run more
commercials with them.
Stupidly, they turned down my cash while starving for cash.
4. No ratings basically means that nobody is listening
to all the wacko left-wing bullshit.
Randi regularly beats Der Pigboy in the ratings.
She also beats Hannity - not sure about O'Reilly.
5. Without your crappy t-shirt sales, I am sure
BC would be going bankrupt also.
Daren the gay porn star
That's close to right, 'cept the shirt rush stopped a long time ago.
