Blaming
Liberals for 9/11, Again
by Ivan Eland
consortiumnews.com
Excerpt:
Dinesh D'Souza, a fellow at the conservative
Hoover Institution at Stanford University, has raised a ruckus
in his new book The Enemy at Home. In
the book, he contends that the 9/11 attackers were motivated by
neither U.S. foreign policy abroad nor by a hatred
of U.S. freedom, as President Bush has repeatedly argued.
Instead, D'Souza declares that Osama bin Laden
hates the liberal U.S. culture that promotes contraception,
abortion, and homosexuality. In a recent
op-ed piece in the Washington Post defending the book, D'Souza
says that he doesn't "hate America." No, he just
hates liberal America and is reprehensibly trying to use the
horrible 9/11 attacks to score points against
the Democrats of the Left
They have to blame the liberals because the truth makes the BFEE look
bad.
There was no reason for Poppy Bush to lie us into a war in 1990 and
there was no reason for his retarded son to lie us into war in 2002.
Maybe if America would strop invading other counries and stealing their
assets,
maybe if we stopped murdering world leaders who refuse to "play ball,"
the religio-wackos would have other priorities than to die hurting
America.
But the whore press can't print the truth, so they blame gays and the
Left.

Cooper fingers
Libby and Rove
latimes.com
Excerpt:
Cooper also testified that the day before he
spoke to Libby he talked to Karl Rove, asking questions about
a column that Plame's husband, had written in
the New York Times. Cooper testified that Rove cautioned to
"don't get too far out on Wilson," and that among
other things, told him that his wife worked at the CIA.
"He said she worked on WMDs for the agency,"
Cooper said. "By that, I took it to mean the CIA, not the EPA.
We talked about it a bit more. He said words
to the effect, 'I've already said too much, I've got to go.'
Since treason is a serious crime, why don't we sent the whole lying
bunch to Gitmo?
Maybe some good, old torture will make them remember the truth...

Exxon Sets
Profit Record
And Bush borrowed money to give them
billions
more in tax cuts
nywhoretimes.com
Excerpt:
Exxon Mobil reported a record annual profit on
Thursday but a modest decline in fourth-quarter
earnings because of falling oil and gas prices
due to the Democrats taking control of congress.
Exxon, the world's largest oil gouging company,
reported profit of $10.3 billion in the fourth quarter.
But for the year, Exxon's profit was a record
$39.5 billion, the largest annual profit ever for an oil gouger.
.
Let's see...
$39.5 billion divided by 365 days = $108,000,000
profit per day.
Bush killed 818
soldiers in 2006, which means Exxon made $132,000
for each dead soldier.
Exxon Valdez
Oil Persists, 18 Years Later
And Bush borrowed money to give them
billions
more in tax cuts
cbsnews.com
Excerpt:
Lingering crude from the largest U.S. oil spill
has resisted weathering in some places almost 18 years after
the Exxon Valdez ran aground and fouled hundreds
of miles of Alaska shoreline, a new federal study concludes.
The estimated 85 tons - or more than 26,600 gallons
- of oil remaining at Prince William Sound is declining
by about 4 percent a year and likely even slower
in the Gulf of Alaska,
Exxon still has not paid an unresolved punitive
damage judgment, originally set for $5 billion by a federal jury in 1994.
In December, the appeals court ruled that the
oil giant must pay $2.5 billion to compensate thousands of fishermen
and others affected by the spill.
Earlier this month, Exxon asked the court to reconsider its decision.
Exxon makes $108M
a day and they refuse to pay their bills.

Sure, Bart-orino:
Shrub is RIGHT! Obama does have a LONG way
to go to be President. First:
-He needs to develop multiple substance abuse
problems;
-Then find JEEEEEEEEEEZEUS
-then bankrupt a few companies
-then go into business with the bin Ladens
-then make money off a list of family contacts,
trading on his surname
-then pay
for an abortion for a girl named Robin
-then "buy into" a baseball team, fleece the
public and sell his interest for a 4,000 percent profit
-then gussy up to a collegiate dropout dirty
trickster and self-proclaimed "genius"
-then run for governor of a State full of nimrods
and cornballs with a part time legislature
-then run that state into the ground on several
fronts.
Or he could just take the short cut and pony up
the dough for a lobotomy.
Then he'll have traversed that "43" path to glorious
Leadership. "bring 'em on"
Swing that hammer, baby.

"This is a baby," Mary Cheney said. "This is

It is not a prop to be used in a debate by people

No, that's not going to cut it.
You father and his fellow Fascist scumbags have

How do you figure that?
Why aren't all "Heathers" a blessing from God?
Why is it different because you're the daughter

Surge Could
Total 50,000
truthout.org
Excerpt:
A new congressional report says the increase
of 21,500 combat troops for Iraq proposed by
the Bush administration could result in up to
50,000 troops actually being deployed to the region.
The report from the nonpartisan CBO bases that
projection on the fact that the Bush plan is unclear
about whether the 21,500 troops are all combat
troops or if that number already includes support forces.
Rep. John Spratt, D-S.C., the House Budget Committee
chairman, notes that about $379 billion already
has been spent on the war in Iraq and a request
for an additional $100 billion is expected next week.
First, if you heard BCR 104, you know why embedding 20,000 or 50,000
with the Iraq army is a bad idea.
We could lose all those soldiers in one day.
Second, why are we still throwing money at Bush's bloody quagmire? Heartless
bastards like Rush
complain about welfare and aid to wodows and orphans because, "They're
still poor after all these years."
But it's OK to throw $100 billion after $100
billion at the bloody quagmire after four years of soldiers dying?

Bart,
I disagree with you about Maureen Dowd:
she is a peerless voice against government
hypocrisy and corruption.
I agree, but not in the way you think.
I can understand that sometimes she points her
finger at people you like
(i.e. Hillary) and that it hurts your feelings.
You have missed the point.
She's been hard on Bush for many years, yet I
refuse to respect or endorse her
because she has no point of view or moral center
to refute. She hates everybody.
She has no heroes of her own, so she looks for
fault in everyone.
And if she can't find enough sensationalism,
she makes shit up.
Buck up, young trooper!
Sadly, sometimes it turns out that pols we like
aren't actually saints after all.
I'm 53.
I pulled the wool away from my own eyes at the
age of six.
I never said Hillary was a saint.
Those 44 people she whacked in Little Rock?
Each and every one of them deserved it.
Rather than run the risk of hurting your feelings
further,
I will keep my thoughts about Hillary to myself.
Dude, allow me to introduce myself?
My name's Bart, and you can like or dislike anyone
you want.
I just want you to vote Democratic in the '08
general election.
I will simply say that I am one liberal/progressive/anti-corporatist
who sees none of those qualities in the woman
you so admire.
Cheers!
Justin in Houston
You didn't mean what you just said.
A hueueueueueueuge reason to support her is that she's
a winner.
You going to show me evidence that she's a loser?
I'll guess a lack of evidence made you decide
to keep your thought to yourself :)
Want to write a full column about why she shouldn't

Bart,
Wasn't the good (cough, cough) Dr. married
while she was shagging the fellow taking the pictures?
That could be true, but you know me, only verified
facts on bartcop.com
Isn't that immoral, or against common decency
or such?
I enjoy looking at the nude female form, but not
in those extremely vulgar positions.
Plus, the guy she was doing was getting laid because
he could further her career not because she loved him.
Again, I think you're right.
Bill Ballance was her mentor, her Svengali, ...her
boss.
She was prostituting herself.
Isn't that immoral or against common decency
or something as well?
Let's just say there are no pictures of Ol' Bart
without his trousers,
so it's obvious who gets to claim the moral high
ground in this argument.
Just call her for what she is, Dr. Slutslinger.
Try saying that 5 times fast!
Don E.
I've called her worse, but the thing is - she can't sue me.
If she did, guess what Exhibit
One would be,
blown up to a 8-ft x 6-ft poster in the center of the damn court room,
...and the Little Dictator's face wouldn't even be in the picture.
Note: A lady named Deanna wrote to say,

is a worse human being."
Only someone who doesn't know who Dr. Laura is could say that.

Excerpt:
With the passing of Molly Ivins, America has
lost one of its truly fearless and iconoclastic voices.
And I have lost a hero.
When you spend a lot of your time, as I do, castigating,
chiding, criticizing, and out and out mocking
people for a living, you inevitably develop a
pent up longing for heroes, even for hero-worship.
Molly had the most amazing sense of humor. Let's
face, the girl was laugh out loud funny. But funny
with a purpose. She really understood how to
use satire as a political weapon in the tradition of
Mark Twain and Jonathan Swift.
And on top of that, unlike so many of the smart-assed
satirists of our day, she was a woman.
A classy lady with a pair of brass cojones.

Excerpt:
Cathy Webster, a California grandmother, organized
"A Thousand Grandmothers for Peace" in 2006
to protest against the torture-training School
of the Americas (SOA) at Fort Benning, Georgia.
SOA has been the subject of international criticism
since it was disclosed that torture manuals were used
in training Latin American military personnel.
Amnesty International USA called for the closing of the school,
an investigation into the human rights atrocities,
and reparations and an apology to its victims.
This week a federal judge sentenced Webster to
two months in federal prison for stepping through
a hole in the fence onto the grounds of Fort
Benning to carry her protest to the doors of SOA.
Two other Grandmothers for Peace were also sentenced
to federal prison for the nonviolent protest.

Subject: religiously insane handjobs
... and maybe not. Bart, have you ever heard
of the term "rhetoric"?
Yes, I learned that from Johnny Carson when I
was a little kid.
He'd ask a question, and people would attempt
to answer it,
and he'd remind them that it was a "rhetorical"
question.
Etymology:
Middle English rethorik, from Anglo-French rethorique,
from Latin rhetorica,
from Greek rhEtorikE, literally, art of
oratory, from feminine of rhEtorikos of an orator,
from rhEtOr orator, rhetorician, from
eirein
to say, speak
...the literal meaning of which is "no answer
is required."
Did you think you could fool a Catholic?
For instance, we have this guy named Bush in America
who keeps talking about the "clash of civilizations,"
and " they hate us for our freedoms." Yes,
he too is a -- (using your burnt-out terminology) -- "handjob".
My terminology is not burnt-out - it is period-based.
But really, Bart, do ya think Ahmadinajad is crazy
for real?
When he gets the bomb, (thanks to Bush) we'll
have to play some poker.
Do ya think all those educated Iranian youths
who, before G.W. Bush, were becoming increasingly
pro-democracy and pro-America suddenly turned
into a generation of fundamentalist "handjobs?"
All things being equal, you MUST know more about
Iranian youth politics than I do,
because I'm at absolute zero on the subject.
Don't you think Ahmadinajad was elected *in reaction
to* G.W. Bush?
I'll guess a yes...
Don't you think Mahmoud is playing George's game?
No fair.
You're asking me to decide which leader is the
most insane.
If I'm honest, the SS might arrest me.
Don't you think Iran's leader is doing the same
thing as America's leader
-- ginning up his country for war... only *defensively*
instead of our offensive madness?
--pipe
Evil men don't mind playing poker with hundreds of thousands of lives.
If the twins are safe in Crawford, how does it hurt Bush
if 10,000 soldiers die in Iraq?
How does it hurt Bush if Exxon makes $108
million dollars profit PER DAY?
The networks and the newspapers will record that Bush was a brave hero
who fought
for peace until the evil Chamberlain Democrats sacrificed our ideals
to the terrorists.

Subject: Peace is the right path
Those who refuse to learn from their mistakes
are bound to keep paying the price when they do
the same thing again. You would have thought
we would have learned from Vietnam but the
right wing has been arguing for war for the last
40 years. Now they have the power they started
another war and have proved those who are on
the side of peace were right yet again.
This is what happens when we let the right wing
take power. They got us in a hole and they just
keep digging it deeper. Instead of give peace
a chance they are singing give war a chance.
The more they fight the more they lose. Since
we didn't learn from Vietnam maybe we should
give war a chance and see how much failure we
can stand before we throw the rest of the
Republicans out of office. How much failure do
we need before it's time to give peace a chance?

Subject: The GOP will NOT invade

Even by their standards, it would be mind-boggling
stupid from a military, political, and economic standpoint.
The only reaction that wouldn't be a decimation

Dems Give
Bush Cover
by Brent Budowsky
consortiumnews.com
Excerpt:
Today, George W. Bush is one of the most dangerous
men in the world. With an Iraq policy in collapse,
escalating the mistakes that led to failure and
catastrophic loss of public support, he is considering another
preemptive war, against Iran.
For Democratic leaders to agree to a sham bipartisan
group at this time sends a radically dangerous signal
to Bush and Cheney. They will conclude rightly
or wrongly, that Congress lacks the will to resist whatever
moves Bush makes.
Meanwhile, the gunboats have been sent to threaten
Iran; the selective and deceptive leaks have begun;
and the totality of policy is escalation in Iraq
and war threats against Iran.
This is disastrous policy. Attacking Iran could
set off a great conflagration across the Middle East that
would inflame regional religious war and even
graver threats to U.S. troops in Iraq.
