Cheney Validates
al-Qaeda?
by Robert Parry
consortiumnews.com
Excerpt:
Cheney stands by his accusation that Nancy Pelosi's
plan for withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq would
"validate the al-Qaeda strategy." And he apparently
thinks he got the better of this latest war of words.
However, if Pelosi ever goes beyond complaining
that Cheney is impugning her "patriotism" - while Cheney
counters that he is only questioning her "judgment"
- she might point out that it is the Bush administration
that has "validated" al-Qaeda's 9/11 strategy
over the past five years.
Someone recently said there are 7-8 times more
terrorists now than on 9-11.
I'd put that number considerably higher, but
what do I know?
Bush's bloody quagmire, plus Abu Graib and green-lighting
Israel's invasion on Lebanon
haven't exactly made us favorites in the world
of suicide bombers. And thanks to Bush-Cheney,
there are now thousands or millions of Muslim
kids who dream of growing up and killing Americans.
Thanks again to the Supreme Court for overruling
the voters and forcing the BFEE on us.
BTW, have you seen The Ghosts of Abu Graib on
HBO?
It's pretty f-ing dark, so you might want to
skip it.
There's one disgusting picture of a female soldier
holding an ear of corn (in Baghdad?) to her crotch
as a penis, and a male soldier is on his knees
in front of her with white goo on his face and mouth.
That tells me that the biggest lie to come from
Abu Graib is that the prisoners were forced to
"simulate" having oral sex with each other.
If you're a twisted piece of shit and you have orders
to "break" thousands of human toys, why pretending
to force them to blow each other?
...and it's all because Bush felt like he had
to murder Saddam and steal Iraq's oil
to prove something to his hated father who always
liked Jeb best.

Subject: How the world sees us
One impression I get from talking to people in
other countries these days and trying to
get a feel for the views and perceptions they
have of us lately is rather sobering.
In the past six years of Bush we have somehow
gone from being a most revered and respected nation
to being the most loathed, reviled and despised.
One of the people I talked to said,
"Well, maybe some Americans today are getting
a feel for what it's like to live in Baghdad."
It appears that the legacy of The Bush Crime Gang
won't simply be the humiliating stigma of
being The World's Premiere War Criminals ..and
defeated war criminals at that.
But the crimes committed against humanity and
The Planet, overall, by Bush, his handlers
will not only figuratively - but quite literally,
tar Americans for many generations to come.

Kucinich
Comes Back for '08
Link
Excerpt:
To his supporters, Dennis Kucinich represents
the sane voice of the Democratic Party - a man who
reads books, gives intelligent speeches and acts
on principle. To his detractors, Kucinich is a small man
on an ego trip, too radical to be elected.
Kucinich was the only Democratic candidate in
the 2004 presidential primaries to vote against the war in Iraq.
His 90-day plan to end the occupation was dismissed
by the party's centrist leaders and he came in fourth in
the primaries - behind Kerry, Edwards and Dean.
Three years later, the Iraq war has cost the lives
of more than 3,000 American servicemen and untold
thousands of Iraqis. And once again Kucinich,
relentless in his call for withdrawing troops, is vying for
the nation's top job. "My country calls me to
action," he told a cheering crowd after announcing his
candidacy on December 12 in Cleveland.
I think Kucinich is ahead of his time.
Everything he says makes sense, but for some reason his words fall
on deaf ears.

Giuliani's
Ghosts
Link
Excerpt:
As "Giuliani Time" makes abundantly clear, it's
because in the eight years he reigned as New York City
mayor leading up to 9/11, Giuliani ruled as a
petty tyrant. And the most frequent target of his animosities
was the city's black population.
During his two terms, Giuliani's two biggest policy
initiatives - reducing welfare rolls and fighting crime -
also antagonized the city's low-income populations
of color. His much-touted Workfare initiative amounted
to an increase in the numbers of the city's working
poor, undercutting better-paying city jobs in the process.
And as Village Voice reporter and Giuliani foe
Wayne Barrett says in the film, "No one knows what happened
to the 600,000 people" who disappeared from the
welfare rolls during the Giuliani years.

Giuliani
Time Trailer
Note: the phrase "Giulinai time" comes from an extremely violent
anal-rape-by-instrumentation of
a black man named Abner
Louima
While Louima's hands were cuffed behind his back, Officer Volpe sodomized
him with a plunger,
causing severe internal damage to his colon and bladder that required
several operations to repair.
Volpe then walked through the precinct holding the bloody, excrement-stained
instrument in his hand,
indicating that he had "broke a man down."
Louima's teeth were also badly damaged in the attack by having the plunger
jammed into his mouth
This is what happens when a vengeful bastard tells his police force
to "get tough" with minorities.
If you thought Reagan was bad, if you think Bush the Giggling Murderer
is bad,
you haven't seen anything until this Rudy "Happy pants" Giuliani gets
into the White House.

When I first saw MM on C-Span I was impressed
with her, but the longer she talked & I realized
how she was maligning Democrats I felt confused.
Such a bright young woman, daughter of immigrants
and already spewing the monkey line. I
checked on computer & found she was an Oberlin College graduate.
Oberlin is one of the if not the most expensive
schools in Ohio. How could an immigrant daughter afford
to go to such an elite school? No doubt
her I.Q. may have provided a scholarship. But I wondered what
was it based on? Affirmative action perhaps?
She's intelligent, but obviously very misinformed.
Poor child-wonder how she'll feel when she grows
up?

Why is Bush
funneling money to Al Qaeda?
Video
Excerpt:
Hersh says the U.S. has been "pumping money,
a great deal of money, without congressional authority,
without any congressional oversight" for covert
operations in the Middle East where it wants to "stop the
Shiite spread or the Shiite influence." Hersh
says these funds have ended up in the hands of "three Sunni
jihadist groups" who are "connected to al Qaeda"
but "want to take on Hezbollah."
Hersh summed up: "Bush is really taking his notion
of executive privilege to the absolute limit here,
running covert operations, using money that was
not authorized by Congress, supporting groups
indirectly that are involved with the same people
that did 9/11." Watch it:
Seymore Hersh is a major league journalist with impeccable credentials
and he's making
a very serious (and very public) allegation - but the networks are
ignoring it because
their principle job is to protect the Bush bastards and cover up their
crimes.
Will Bush have to pay a fine for trading with the enemy the way his
grandfather did
after helping Hitler finance his aggression in World War II?

Subject: BFEE may be more evil
than we expected
Hey Bart,
Here's a rather disturbing video that I ran across
recently.
It's about 90 minutes long, so be prepared to
spend some time there, but I think it's woth the investment.
It starts by rehashing a lot of old and, in my
opinion, completely supported and incontravertible facts that
were denied by the "Government". It then
proceeds to offer many more facts into evidence that I was
totally unaware of, but according to my memory
and public records, seem to fall right into place.
It ends with some rather astonishing (and frightful)
conclusions.
Anyway, here's the link to the "Bush connection
to Kennedy's Assination":
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4315024059102108031
Check it out when you have a couple of hours
to spare.
It is thought provoking at the least.

'Stan' Rove
Sticks and
Stones
by Marty Kaplan
Link
Excerpt:
The escalation is not going to work. Believing
otherwise is magical thinking. The Sunnis and the Shiites are not
going to embrace; 20,000 troops will not end
the civil war. No number of surprise visits by Condi or Cheney
will turn the Iraqi "government" into a government.
And no way will al-Qaeda decide not to fight us "over here"
because of whatever we do over there. The Middle
East is a disaster from top to bottom, and the only question
is not -- in the infantile, deluded slogans of
Bush, Cheney, Fox et al -- "how to win," "how to achieve our mission,"
"how to achieve victory"; the only question is
how to play a truly lousy hand to achieve the least bad outcome.
So what are the Democrats afraid of? If they try
to stop the war, if they attempt to prevent more brave
Americans from dying for a tragic mistake, they're
going to be called bad names.
You're afraid that the bad names will stick?
Think of Bill Clinton.
They said, and still say, everything bad about
him that they possibly could. They impeached him.
The press wrote him off as a joke. But throughout
it, his popularity soared, the people stuck with him
and his attackers seemed like demented harpies.
Irony: This was published by a hueueuege
anti-Clinton harpy, Arianna Huffington.

Poll: Yes
to health care for all
truthout.com
Excerpt:
A majority of Americans say the federal government
should guarantee health insurance to every American,
especially children, and are willing to pay higher
taxes to do it, according to a NYTimes/CBS News Poll.
While the war in Iraq remains the overarching
issue in the early stages of the 2008 campaign, access to
affordable health care is at the top of the public's
domestic agenda, ranked as far more important than
immigration, cutting taxes or promoting traditional
values. Only 24 percent said they were satisfied with
Bush's handling of the issue, despite his recent
initiatives, and 62 percent said the Democrats - not the
Republicans - were more likely to improve the
health care system.
They said we couldn't afford universal health
care, but we could afford Bush's bloody quagmire.
Without a doubt, the money Bush wasted to get
3160 soldiers killed would've paid for health care
for a generation of Americans, maybe more.
But the Bush bastards couldn't steal much money
with a health care scam,
so they went with the war scam.

We've lost
America
Link
The Bush-Cheney regime is America's first neoconservative
regime. In a few short years, the regime has
destroyed the Bill of Rights, the separation
of powers, the Geneva Conventions, and the remains of America's
moral reputation along with the infrastructures
of two Muslim countries and countless thousands of Islamic
civilians. Plans have been prepared, and forces
moved into place, for an attack on a third Islamic country,
Iran, and perhaps Syria and Hezbollah in Lebanon
as well.
This extraordinary aggressiveness toward the US
Constitution, international law, and the Islamic world is
the work, not of a vast movement, but of a handful
of ideologues-- (The BFEE). These are the main
operatives who have controlled policy. They have
been supported by their media shills at the Weekly
Standard, National Review, Fox News, New York
Times, CNN, and the Wall Street Journal editorial
page and by "scholars" in assorted think tanks
such as the American Enterprise Institute.
We might be one election from getting our country back.

Subject: China and the stock

We have our proof.
China, with its tightly controlled markets, just
sent a little reminder to America that it can
disrupt our stock market and create panic anytime
it wants and with little to no repercussions.
Now ya'll be sure to hurry on down to Wally World
and buy some more Made-In-China crap

While discussing our recent "correction" on wall Street, USA Whore Today
said,
"The risk-free returns you get from, say,
three-month Treasury bills, are modest.
The three-month Treasury returned 11.7% since
the current bull market began on Oct. 9, 2002..."
They call that "Bush's bull market," but they leave out the part that
Bush crashed the stock market
so he could have "steady gains" on the long climb back to the break-even
point.
In eight years, Clinton more
than tripled the Dow, taking it from 3500
to 11,500.
In six-plus years, the Giggling Murderer has taken the Dow to the dizzying
heights of 12,200.
which is barely ten percent - in six long years!
Only the super-rich have gained under the Butcher of Baghdad.

The Lost
Mystery of 'Iraq-gate'
by Peter Dyer
consortiumnews.com
Excerpt:
With Saddam's death the opportunity for a full
account of the tens of thousands of deaths in the so-called
Anfal case appears to be lost, along with the
opportunity for a frank public discussion of its historical context.
Such a discussion inevitably would have led to
how Saddam's development of dangerous weapons was enabled
by Western powers, including the United States.
Between 1985 and 1990, the Reagan and Bush I administrations
facilitated Saddam Hussein's massive and ambitious
military industrialization effort.
Billions of dollars of financial assistance and
sophisticated technology flowed from the United States to Iraq.
The Reagan and Bush I administrations were aware
that Saddam Hussein was using this aid to research,
develop and/or manufacture chemical, biological
and nuclear weapons.
And they had to murder him to keep him quiet.
