"The Bushies create falsehoods to manipulate
public opinion and then feeds them to influential
and prestigious media outlets. Eager to be
used, our most prominent journalists then repeat those
falsehoods mindlessly and uncritically. Worse,
when it is revealed that what they were fed was false,
they say nothing and continue to protect the
identity of those responsible, in the hope that their
"sources" will continue to use them.

Fascist
America, in 10 Easy Steps
The US press won't print a story like
this
Excerpt:
Last autumn, there was a military coup in Thailand.
The leaders of the coup took a number of steps,
rather systematically, as if they had a shopping
list. In a sense, they did. Within a matter of days,
democracy had been closed down: the coup leaders
declared martial law, sent armed soldiers into
residential areas, took over radio and TV stations,
issued restrictions on the press, etc.
There is essentially a blueprint for turning an
open society into a dictatorship. That blueprint has been
used again and again in more and less bloody,
more and less terrifying ways. But it is always effective.
It is very difficult and arduous to create and
sustain a democracy - but history shows that closing one
down is much simpler. You simply have to be willing
to take the 10 steps.
It is clear that each of these 10 steps has already
been initiated today by the Bush administration.

For the fourth straight week, Obama has gained

It's now Obama 32% Clinton 32% and Edwards holding

Bill Richardson is a distant fourth at 3%.
Dodd and Biden and Clark each attract 1% support.

Subject: Blackberry shutdown
I just wanted to float something out there about gwb43.com and last week's Blackberry Fiasco.
Over 60% of RIM Blackberry services from every
wireless carrier is Governmental/Public Sector and it is
a very popular device with them mainly because
of the security model on their Enterprise Server Edition.
Every email that went through gwb43.com was most
certainly catalogued through the RIM servers at some point.
What do YOU think are the chances that the "rare
shutdown" last week was a result of a "necessary purge"
to keep the heat off of Karl Rove? A shutdown,
which had never occurred to this degree, is suspicious as
regards to timing and reasoning on why it needed
to happen. It is not above these criminals to make RIM
do the purge due to the vast governmental usage
of the devices.
Just a thought,

I agree with you to the extent that I believe
those who believe in killing others
in the name of their God are people who have
zero faith in their religious beliefs.
They are the most scared and dangerous people
in the world.
Because of my belief/faith in our spirit, and
believe God is in everyone and everything,
I am not afraid to die. I believe I am protected
even in death. A slow, painful death
would certainly suck. I am sad when someone close
to me dies because I will miss them.
But I know they are safe and I believe they are
still with us in spirit.

by Greg Palast
Excerpt:
Before President Bush fired his sorry ass, US
Attorney David Iglesias of New Mexico,
in a last sad attempt to suck up to his Republican
padrones, allowed his chief mouthpiece,
Norm Cairns, to speak with me. He shouldn't have.
That was two years back, while I was investigating
strange doings in New Mexico and Arizona,
where, simultaneously, state legislators, Republicans
all, claimed they had evidence of "voter fraud."

Subject: The rug doctor
Bart, I doesn't take a doctor or analyst to say that Bush has an addictive personality.
Along with his alcoholism I would also 'wager
a bet ' that he is addicted to gambling.
You've met the type. As a kid the best 2 out
of 3 turned into 3 out of 5 then 5 out of 9.
As he started losing wagers, rather then pay of
the debt he would go double or nothing
(usually on the long shot). This often goes to
the point of denying that he's losing and over his head
in debt because in his delusional addicts world
he "just knows" that if he follows his instinct
he will eventually turn it all around and walk
off a big winner.
(And when he eventually loses he refuses to pay
up.)
The major problem with Bush in this position
is he's gambling with
other people's money and lives and he never plans
to repay a cent.

now and January 2009?

Excerpt:
Sergeant Jim Wilt is voicing his complaints about
flying the flag at half staff for the Va-Tech victims when
he says the same honor is not given to fallen
U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Wilt said that the deaths
of soldiers there lacked the "shock factor" to
be honored by the flag as the deaths at Virginia Tech were.
I see his point, but so many soldiers die every day in Bush's bloody
quagmire,
the flags would never reach the top of the pole until Bush leaves office.
When will the military families say, "Enough!"
to the Deserter Monkey?
As long as they're willing to die for Bush, he's going to let them.

DelGiorno Delusions Part One
Excerpt:
What is the measure of the man, Michael DelGiorno?
Some say DelGiorno is Tulsa's first shock jock
and daily provider of side-show radio.
Tulsa Today appreciates DelGiorno's ability to maintain employment,
but he is asserting on a public platform that
he is the "truth" on matters of faith and public policy. Thus it
is
appropriate to review the level of truth he offers.
DelGiorno has a growing number of critics and
some are suing him. They claim his personal attacks on
politicians, the political process, and even
private citizens are increasingly inaccurate, bitter, and destructive.
DelGiorno whines, "My perception is that I
am what I claim to be: a young Christian. Of course, people
perceive the truth as hate-mongering and homophobic
and Islamophobic and every other 'ic', but I just
think I'm an 'ian'. They want to make me an
'ic', then I'm an 'ic'. I'm a Christian, not a Christian-ic."
Is DelGiorno a Christian? Tulsa
Today could not find one character witness that would speak in
support
of his assertions of faith. Even Michael
Bates - an evangelical who appears regularly on the show - would not
go on the record to vouch for DelGiorno's character.
ha ha
Mikey Delgiorno is 100% scumbag and the truth finally caught up to
him.
I found an MP3 of his insincere, tearful Swaggart-style, "I
have sinned, but God still loves me"
confession that will damn sure be one of the highlights of BCR

Rove investigator under investigation
Excerpt:
A federal investigation into the crimes of Karl
Rove is being headed by a Bush appointee who is
currently the target of an internal White House
probe - calling into question the integrity of the
administration's efforts to conduct an independent
review of Rove's crimes.
The news underscores how deeply the Bush administration is mired in scandal.
Scott J. Bloch, who heads the Office of Special
Counsel, told the Los Angeles Times that his office will
launch a wide-ranging investigation. However,
the Los Angeles Times failed to inform its readers that Bloch
had been accused of retaliating against employees
who disagreed with his policies, and intimidating them
before they were questioned about a whistle-blower
investigation inside the Office of the Special Counsel.

Why are die-hard conservatives for Bush's bloody

What is it about conservatism that says, "Peace

Is it just because Bush likes war?
When Bush says, "It's

with him?
If the Democrats wanted to win an election,
if the Democrats had any brains, (why do I torture myself this way?)
they could use that against the Republicans in a campaign, but noooooo.
They could say,
"They like war, we think your

That line would get my vote...

Lynch, Tillman blast whore military
Excerpt:
Pat Tillman's brother accused the military Tuesday
of "intentional falsehoods" and "deliberate and careful
misrepresentations" in portraying Pat's death
by heroic engagement with the enemy instead of friendly fire.
"We believe this narrative was intended to deceive
the family but more importantly the American public,"
Kevin Tillman told the hearing. "Revealing
that Pat's death was a fratricide would have been yet another
political disaster in a month of political disasters
so the truth needed to be suppressed," said Tillman,
who was in a convoy behind his brother when the
incident happened three years ago but didn't see it.
Still hampered by her injuries, Lynch walked slowly
to the witness table. "The American people are
capable of determining their own ideals of heroes
and they don't need to be told elaborate tales," Lynch said.

Subject: guns
Greetings My Dear Bartcop: Wild Bill stated:
> "Having worked in law enforcement for over
20 years I've yet to personally respond to
> an incident where a gun was used to protect
someone but I've lost count of the number of suicides, murders,
> and accidents involving guns that have caused
families the loss of a loved one."
I believe the statistics also show that the majority
(possibly vast majority) of police NEVER fire their guns
in the line of duty. So I guess that "proves"
that the police don't really need guns either.
Good point.
Bill's anecdotal evidence is just that, anecdotal.
One data point.
People whose children have been killed by airbags
could just as likely state that in all their years of driving
they have never been saved by an airbag - yet
their child was killed by one. Therefore, we must ban airbags.
Or put locks on the airbag triggers.
Despite the numbers of people killed by guns (or
airbags for that matter), these events are very rare.
But we still want our kids to be vaccinated,
wear their seatbelts and drive a safe car with airbags.
I'm not a gun nut but I enjoy guns and have several
in my home. I don't like to fish and don't own a boat.
Despite the number of people killed in boating
accidents I don't tell sportsmen that I want to ban boats.
My two cents worth.
Keep up the great work,

TV Viewing
is down - way down
Lawyers, greed and whoredom = shitty shows
Excerpt:
In the past few weeks, a raft of top shows on
all major networks have hit record lows:
Lost, Desperate Housewives, ER, My Name Is
Earl, The Simpsons, Two and a Half Men,
CSI: Miami and, just Monday, Heroes.
Still others, such as 24, Law & Order: SUV and
American Idol, had their worst ratings
in two years or more.
Mostly, it's greed.
There are some great shows on TV, but never more than five at a time.
There might be another 12-15 that are OK, but the rest is pure crap.
Years ago, a TV series would do 40 shows a year.
Now they do twenty if we're lucky.
And in their greed, they give us a new Survivor followed by a
C.S.I. repeat.
Even worse are shows like Lost, Heroes, Jericho and others -
shows that never go anywhere.
They keep promising exciting action down the road - but it never comes.
And NBC is becoming wall-to-wall reality shows - no wonder they're
in last place.
Plus that whore factor - some shows now go 64 minutes, and the morons
who make DVRs
can't figure out how to tape the whole show. Even worse are the outright
lies.
"Stay tuned for more Heroes," and
you do, but when they come back they run the credits.
Plus there are more commercials than ever. TV shows used to be 52 minutes.
Now you get 42 and that's with constant product placement distractions
The real problem? Republican greed.
They're not happy with a billion dollars in profit, they want
a billion-plus, so they screw you.
When I was a kid I worked at Arbys. The lemonade mix said to add
5 parts water.
So, of course, they told us to add seven parts water - same for the
Cokes.
They had a guy whose sole job was to go to each store and turn down
the soda mix
so they could get 11,000 cokes per $40 container instead if 10,000.
Pure greed.
Besides, the Innertubes is a whole lot of competition.
