Bush's Illegal Mortage Plans

Bush is scheduled to announce a plan to freeze interest rates for five years for thousands of strapped homeowners
whose mortgages were scheduled to rise in the coming months. It would freeze introductory "teaser" rates on
subprime mortgages, preventing them from resetting to higher rates for five years.

How can Bush change the terms of a contract without permission from both partties?
If he can change it down, that means he can change it up.
What if Bush wants to change all mortgage rates to 15% - would that be legal, too?

The White House said it was voluntary, and did not represent federal intrusion into the private market.

Really? Intruding and forcing the banks to accept less profit is voluntary?
Bankers are just slightly less greedy than oil men - why would they volunteer to make less money?

These Republicans always tout the "free market," and then they interfere.
The time to interfere was when the banks were making these loan-shark mortgages
to people who didn't know the bank was screwing them, the sons of bitches.

As always, they screw people until they're caught, then they say, "My bad," and offer to settle.

At a time when the GOP would do ANYTHING to harm Clinton,

Saying "Clinton was guilty in Waco" is saying the GOP is a reasonable group who
plays fair and would not hit below the belt to hurt a formidable political enemy.

Before I'm going to listen to any wild conspiracy theories, that sentence in bold

Subject: Romney

I just listened to Mitt Romney's speech on religion and I found it offensive. Romney was specifically exclusive
of the Reality Based Community while trying to make his religion part of the religious insider club. Specifically
he put down secular society in a way that shows that he doesn't understand the definition of what secular is.

Secularism is the basis of American society and Constitutional law. Secularism means that everyone, regardless
of religion or lack of religion, has equal standing as citizens. Secularism is found in the Constitution which states,
"no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States."
It is because of secularism that Mormons can run for president. Mormonism, like Atheism, is not a mainstream
religious view. Yet Romney seeks inclusiveness while preaching exclusiveness by insulting those outside the
Christian/Jewish/Muslim community.

Those of us in the Reality Based Community are good moral people too. We are honest, hard working, ethical,
tax-paying, productive citizens with strong moral values. We Realists also want to be included just like Mormons
want to be included. But in order to get inclusion you have to be ready to give inclusion. So if Romney is against us
then why should we be for him? I am more impressed with Mike Huckabee who doesn't demonize people.

Jeffrey Ray Nielsen—the well-connected Orange County conservative activist who claimed the so-called
liberal media, specifically the Weekly, was out to get him by publishing a series of exposés on his pedophile
activities—finally admitted on Dec. 5 that he used two boys for sex since the early 1990s.

In open court, a somber Nielsen, who has extensive personal ties to Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-Perv)
gave Judge Thompson signed guilty pleas acknowledging two felonies: committing lewd acts on a 12-year-old
Virginia boy and 14-year-old Orange County boy.

In exchange, Nielsen, 37, received a three-year prison sentence, which is relatively mild considering he faced
more than a decade in state prison if convicted of the 16 charged crimes.

More than 10 million White House emails are missing. Citizens for the Responsibility and Ethics in Washington
(CREW) described this massive hole in White House email records last April. This is a very serious and systematic
problem at the White House. Both CREW and another private group called the National Security archive are suing
the Bush administration to try to get information about all these missing emails. The White House email problems
first came to light during Fitzgerald’s investigation into the Valerie Plame leak.

It’s worth noting what a critical time period these missing emails represent - March of 2003 to October 2005.
That would include the start of the Iraq War right up through the aftermath of Katrina. It doesn’t get more historically
valuable than that. Given the way the White House handled both the war and Katrina, it’s also quite convenient that
suddenly this mountain of stuff is missing. By the way it’s against the law that these emails be destroyed or lost.
They are supposed to be saved. The Presidential Records Act of 1978 mandates White House communications
be preserved. Another law broken — Another example of nobody doing a damn thing about it.

They deleted the e-mails to hide evidence of their crimes.
If the Democrats would point this out, maybe voters would be less likely to vote GOP,
but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
