This week’s spinning by the White House and subservient media suggests the administration still thinks
it can make a case for war, by obfuscating the nuclear program in Iran.
This has become clearer as administration mouthpieces blur the distinction between uranium enrichment
for a civilian energy use (permitted to signatories of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty) and the much more
demanding requirements of a nuclear weapons program.
The spinners have resurrected the discredited argument that Iran’s nuclear program must be for weapons,
because Iran’s oil and gas should suffice to meet all its energy requirements.
Thus, the administration’s Pravda, also known as the editorial page of the Washington Post, on Dec. 5:
“Iran’s massive overt investment in uranium enrichment meanwhile proceeds...even though Tehran has
no legitimate use for enriched uranium.”
And thus another major administration mouthpiece, also known as the New York Times, on Dec. 6, in an op-ed,
“Why does Iran want nuclear energy, when it is sitting on an enormous pool of oil that is now skyrocketing in value.”
This is a familiar canard; i.e., that Iran’s claim that its nuclear program is for electricity production is given t he lie
by its own large oil and natural gas reserves, so uranium enrichment must be for nuclear weapons development.

A couple of shows ago you said you almost drove off the highway in tears over this CD.
Dude, I respect your taste in music but I've gotta think someone's giving you a couple of dimes
to recommend KW- not that I fault you for that. You gotta get paid however you can..., I just don't get it.
Earthquake though (#130) - he's great!
Long-time on and off subscriber- now on
Mike,
It's not important to like Kanye, I just think he does great work.
Also, he got more Grammy nominations that anybody so clearly
I'm not the only one who appreciates his massive talents.
If what he does was easy, everyone would do it and we'd all be rich.
BTW, if you don't like that riff on "Flashing Lights," you don't like music.

Judy got taxpayer-funded chauffeur services from Rudy earlier than previously disclosed - even before her
nasty-ass adulterous
affair with Giuliani was revealed, witnesses and sources tell the Daily Whore News.
"It went on for months before the affair was public," said Lee Degenstein, who lived in Judy's building.
Degenstein said it wasn't hard to identify Nathan's city-funded wheels as an unmarked police car.
"The windows were all blacked out, it had several antennas affixed to the trunk and of course had the
orange E-ZPass stuck in the front windshield," said Degenstein. Degenstein is no Rudy critic: He said he
voted for the whore-monger and he'll do so again if the alternative is Hillary Clinton.
If Huckabee keeps surging, we can let the Rudy charges go because he's about to become nobody again.

The US-installed government in Iraq labeling its forces "murderers." With a new scandal breaking

as it continues to pull in major federal contracts. And its public demeanor grows cockier by the day.
I don't like that Bush has a private army, funded by us, that's loyal to him.
I also don't like that Bush repealed posse comitatus, which means he can turn Blackwater OR our
own army against us and liberals will be helpless because they don't believe in guns for self-defense.
Just a quick question here. What do you think about Ron Paul?
Keep swingin' the hammer,
Donnie from Bowling Green, KY
He's obviously the most sane and least warlike of the Republican candidates,
and he seems to be a great gambler in that he took on Bush's insanity and it's
paying off for him but I think any Democrat would be a lot better.

This week's release of the National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on Iran answered many questions,
but Bush's reaction raised far more dangerous ones, for which we deserve answers.
Despite White House blustering about the growing threat of a "nuclear Iran," the NIE found, with
"high confidence," that Iran shut down its nuclear weapons program in 2003, and also found that it
had not been restarted. There is almost no one who believes a nuclear Iran wouldn't be a severe threat,
so the findings were a relief.
The good news: we don't need to think about any military action against Iran for a while.
Yet, downplayed by the media were the confusing set of answers from the White House and Bush
on when, exactly, they learned of this intelligence. That's important, because until recently, Bush had
been adamant that Iran sought nuclear weapons, and therefore, we must consider military strikes.
In the initial White House press conference, National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley said Bush
was made aware of what intelligence was saying in August. That would imply that, for months,
Bush knowingly made false statements to the American people about Iran. Yet, in his press conference,
Bush said that he didn't know what the NIE said until just last week. Which is it?
This country is so screwed-up.
We only impeach presidents for sex.
If Bush got a BJ, he'd be dead meat, but since all he did was kill 4,000 soldiers
in a bloody oil snatch,we look the other way and wait until his term is over.
We're not a "nation of laws."
We're a nation of religiously-insane sheep where sex is worse than 4,000 dead soldiers.
"If Bush commits an real crimes, we'll impeach him!"

A year later, most have landed on their feet, in law partnerships or private-sector jobs where their
compensation dwarfs government pay. Some carry scars from the experience. Six of the attorneys
marked the anniversary of their firings at a private dinner in San Diego 10 days ago, where they
toasted one another for persevering.
"The great irony of this is, it has hardly tarnished any of our reputations," said Paul Charlton,
the former U.S. attorney in Phoenix, who hosted the reunion.
Charlton, now a partner in a Phoenix law firm, says that as a group, the attorneys have fared
much better than the department officials who orchestrated their demise.
Several of those officials, including Tortureboy Gonzales, have hired lawyers to defend
themselves in connection with a wide-ranging departmental investigation.
Several of the fired attorneys have been honored by bar groups for blowing the whistle
and helping expose the scandal.
Not surprising that Bush will veto a raise in the CAFE standards. Consistent anyway.
I was reading the New Yorker the other day (November 5th), book review of two new books on auto industry.
Mentioned that in1993, Clinton had a meeting with Ford, GM, Chrysler and UAW to form a Partnership of
New Generation of Vehicles and agreed to develop a car that would get 80 mpg. Link
By 1997 they agreed on a spec, light weight diesel/elec, and went ahead with a concept car.
In Jan 2002, just before prototype was to be delivered and after a Billion dollar investment,
the program was cancelled by the Bush Adm. Energy Sec.Spencer Abraham announced that
"we can do better than 80 mpg., we’re going to develop a hydrogen car."
I guess we might in 20 or 30 years and probably cost as much to produce as it saves.

Hey Bart, I just love that so many of your readers have kids in the house.
I have two little girls, 1 year and 5 years.
I steal the time to read Bartcop.com
mostly from sleep, because there is nowhere else to get it from. My wife and I
both work, but at different times so that we don't have to pay for a sitter
(plus we just want to raise our kids ourselves).
We have no money and I hate that I skate, but I will catch up one day.
I read your site because it is all so important to me. It really does help me feel
like there is hope because there is
someone else who is paying attention.
I'm a big supported of Kucinich, but of course will fully support whichever
Dem gets the nomination. One day, my five year old daughter Marley was
playing while I watched one of the debates.
She said, "that's a lot of presidents."
I told her that they were all trying to be the next president.
"Oh," she said, "I hope the girl wins."

Chuck is simply doing what he is paid to do - catapulting the propaganda.
Repukes sent in the extra troops to cover their failure....They KNOW that the Blitzkrieging of Iraq
is a total failure (militarily although apparently not for the oil cos. Enronizing American consumers),
so they sent in more troops synchronized with the plan that WOULD work (and is working): using the
various Iraqi militias that already are running things to eliminate the Al Qaeda CIA operatives still active
in Iraq (you know, shredding the evidence before leaving the scene of the (war) crime).
Now, anytime their billions of detractors talk about the military failure in Iraq, Repukes will point to the
useless surge, and rely on the media to create the new reality of its success (as you demonstrated with
Gauleiter Krauthammer's remarks, and much like they have done for Ronald RayGun, but you would
never know it from the constant stream of unchallenged glowing accolades from subservient corporate
media shills). They seem to have managed to place enough Big Oil lackeys in Iraq's temporary
government to pass the pseudo-law enabling Big Oil to steal their oil.
Time to hop in the getaway Lear jets, Hummers, and SUVs and stash the loot in various offshore accounts
while hiding in secure undisclosed locations until the subservient media can adequately cover-up their crimes.
Night and Fog...it worked in the last Reich, why not in this Reich?

Mean white woman? No. She was embarrassed that she had to be driven,
she wasn't mean except for not taking Hoke (driver) to see Dr. King speak.
Hoke was hired not by Miss Daisy but by her son.
Hoke was Miss Daisy's best friend by the end of the movie.
I do not in any way think the image is racist, unless the artist didn't know about
the movie's real meanings but instead thought it was a black guy being subservient to a white woman.
I just don't think the comic was either funny or insightful in analysis.
Did someone hire Obama to be Hillary's assistant?

-- Huckabee, after releasing a rapist who raped and murdered again - twice, Link
"Many say that Dumond (the rapist) is the victim of one of the most
bone-crunching and infuriating
examples of Clinton-clan justice the
country has ever seen. All this and Dumond still rotted away in prison.
And Clinton, both as governor and president, ignored facts that
surrounded the case of the rape of his cousin."
-- Steve Dunleavy, crusading for Dumond's freedom in 1996,
fuming about Clinton's refusal to free him, Link
You want to know how ugly a story can get?
If I heard this right, Republicans pressured Huckabee to release the rapist because he was convicted
of raping a distant cousin of Bill Clinton, ...which means raping a Clinton isn't really as crime?
Wouldn't it be something if Huckabee lost the White House because he agreed that
raping a Clinton shouldn't be punsihed by a stretch inprison?
How much can the sons of bitches hate a former president?
Sidebar: This Dumond character was featured on 60 Minutes many, many years ago.
He was "famous" for having been castarated by thugs, then the local sheriff displayed
his balls in a jar that he kept on his desk - hey, you gotta love the Arkies, right?
Now, I'm no medical doctor and I'm not too smart, so could somebody please explain
how a castrated dude can rape two women?
Hey Bart, got done with BCR 130, it was awesome.
Loved the 72 virgins comparison to the eternity
with the cloud being and your wives/puppies/baby Jesus,
it is too damn easy to show how insane
religion is...isn't it? What is wrong with people???
You mentioned your Catholic training, though were questioning the Judeo-Christian connection
-- you know Jesus was a Jew and the psychos need a couple hundred thousand to be converted in
Bethlahem (Israel) at the rapture for their end of the world fantasy right? Very few Americans would
know about Abraham and connection between the Christian/Jewish tradition and that of Islam,
but they really wouldn't want to know how the similarities in those brown peoples' fantasies and their own.
Anyway, I grew up an agnostic Catholic fearing the bullsh!t fed to me since birth, then once I was sent
to Catholic school I learned too much...you basically have to want/need to believe to be able to lie yourself
into believing that the omnipotent creator of the universe sent himself down from his perfect blissful heaven
as his own (only) son (Catholics are taught that Jesus IS God, though I've been learning Catholicism isn't
that much closer to the mainstream than Mormonism) to a virgin mother to be tortured and killed (martyred)
to "save" his creations from himself--his own wraith--and that he rose from the dead 3 days later t o prove
he was the messiah. I was created apparently so I could be sent to hell for all eternity is one of God's good
creations can't get me to be "saved" by my belief in Jesus.
I watched that Huckabee clip where he talks to god--I immediatly wept for my children, that they will
grow up in a world where there is a crowd that will laugh at his "jokes" instead of getting him the
mental health professionals he so desperately needs.
Heard Romney pontificating about individual responsibility as the cure for all our social (socialist) ills.
So, about your sons, Mitt - and equating their work on your campaign with active duty military service?
Can you connect those dots with a straight line?
Beck, meanwhile, was creaming himself with admiration for the mighty businessman
taking up the White Man's Burden of governance.
And a few hours later, friends of mine in Chicago - one in the steel industry,
one in public education - told me they're both losing their jobs.
It can't be accidental that the Treasury goes to the NeoCons while the
American Middle Class loses a war they didn't know they're fighting.

He’d lived through daily explosions in 11 months with Charlie Company,
1st Battalion, 26th Infantry

a no-frills fortress smack in the middle of Adhamiya’s
hostile streets. He had
rushed through flames to try to save friends and carried others to the aide
station
only to watch them die.
“I’m not getting killed at Burger King,” he thought, and he dived for a
concrete bunker. People were
screaming. DeNardi saw a worker from
Cinnabon hobbling around, so he climbed out of the bunker,
pulled
shrapnel out of the man’s leg and bandaged him. The Pizza Hut manager
was crying and said
two more foreign workers were injured behind
her stand — near the Burger King.
“Lightning doesn’t strike twice,” DeNardi said, “so I went back. But there
were body parts everywhere.”
The first man’s leg had been blown off,
his other leg was barely attached and he had a chest wound.
“He was going to die,” DeNardi said.
The other wounded man had shrapnel to his neck. DeNardi peeled off
his own shirt and fashioned
a bandage out of it as other soldiers started
streaming in to help.
Then, “all clear” sounded over the loudspeakers as medics arrived and took over.
“I’m covered in blood, but I still have my hamburger receipt,” DeNardi said.
“I went back to Burger King the next day, but they wouldn’t give me my burger.”

Any publishers out there want to give me a $100K advance so I can write that book?
The Zeppelin stories alone might sell the book.
BTW, I think you are a little onsessed with the Catholic issues.
The fact of abuses is hard to refute, but it is also pretty well saturated in the press in general.
