Subject: handjobbed by the candidate

Bart, I want to correct you about  the Obama website trying to get your 
private information before you could search for your polling place.
 
Lynn, you have chosen an impossible task.

First of all, you got the email from Barack because you have already 
given them your name, email address and state.  

That assumption is incorrect.
I didn't give them anything - my stalkers signed me up.

I got the same email and mine ended with CAlookup. When I clicked on the link, 
it took me to the page on the Obama website to find the polling place.
 
Within a big blue box on the left was a button that said "Find Your Polling Location." 
Clicking on it takes you right to the look-up in your state. 

Maybe it does in CA, but in OK, I got a notice saying I would get no info 
until the entire field was filled out. There were red stars by every field I left blank.
. 
I hope you correct this on your page cause you made an excellent point and were 
passionate about their "attempt to steal my personal info" .... but it just wasn't an 
accurate portrayal. I know we disagree big time about this primary and candidate 
choice, as maybe many other readers do, but we're all still loyal readers.

Halliburton Rapes Legal, says judge

A mother of five who says she was sexually assaulted while working for Halliburton in Iraq 
is headed for a secretive arbitration process rather than open court.

A judge in Texas has ruled in favor of her employment contract, which says you can't
sue the company no matter how many times their thugs rape you.

How can a contract make rape legal?

Tracy Barker says that while in Iraq she was constantly propositioned by her superior, 
then threatened and isolated after she reported an incident of sexual assault.

"The manager of the camp said if I wanted safety, I needed to sleep with him, 
and that's all he kept saying to me," said Barker.

Barker's attorneys say Halliburton has a "boys will be boys" atmosphere at their camps 
and is not the type of dispute that she could have expected to be handled by arbitration.

District Judge Gray Miller, wrote that "Thus is not a question for this court to decide."

"Sadly," wrote Judge Miller, "sexual harassment, up to and including sexual assault, 
is a reality in today's workplace." 

So if the judge were raped, he'd feel the same way?
Rape is a reality, so expect to be raped at work?

Plus, if those Halliburton thugs were having fun raping American women, 
think what they're doing to the defenseless Iraqi women...

that is tearing this country apart. And even if he is elected, in no way will that show that

Bart, for the last 4 years, I have visited a lot of progressive/liberal websites and listened to 
8 hours of AAR daily.  These habits used to help keep me on an even keel, but I have started
to avoid the Hillary hate fests so common on the web these days, and can't even listen to the 
formerly delightful Stephanie Miller and the increasingly unstable Randi Rhodes anymore. 

I don't get Stephanie's show  - we get NOTHING but Nazi hate over the airwaves here.
Randi isn't really unstable, she just can't hide her love for Obama or her hate for Hillary.
