Vol 2112 - The
Temples of Syrinx
Quote of
the Day
"Michelle Obama says this primary is mostly about Character, is she saying Hillary has no character? Then I see Oprah and Caroline applauding...I felt nauseated!" -- jonas88,
Link
"I wanted to, as a performer, see how Hillary
dealt with the glee that they (her opponents) exhibited in their desire to bury her candidacy.
I must tell you: when I saw her sit down, and she said she 'found her voice in New Hampshire',
that was it for me. She handled that next debate as the masterful person that she
is. She's the one to get the job done..." --
Jack Nicholson, announcing support for Hillary, Link
Excerpt: In what may be Obama's most direct and aggressive
criticism of Bill Clinton's presidency yet,
the Obama campaign dropped a new mailer just
before Super Tuesday that blasts "the Clintons"
for wreaking massive losses on the Democratic
party throughout the 1990s.
Hmmm, Bob Parry calls it "Rovian" when you go
after the other side's strong suit.
Well, ...I mean he WOULD call it that ...unless
Obama said it.
"8 years of the Clintons, major losses for Democrats
across the nation," reads the mailer,
which goes on to list the post-1992 losses suffered
by Dems among governors, Senators
and members of the House of Representatives.
If the Clintons are personally responsible
for every yellow-ass, punk tutu'd
Democrat who couldn't come up with the stones
to fight the Republican bastards,
then I submit the Clintons are personally responsible
for everything GOOD that
happened in that time period, too.
Look where the toon is from, the

Bart, I want to correct you about the Obama
website trying to get your
private information before you could search for
your polling place.
Lynn, you have chosen an impossible task.
First of all, you got the email from Barack because
you have already
given them your name, email address and state.
That assumption is incorrect.
I didn't give them anything - my stalkers signed
me up.
I got the same email and mine ended with CAlookup.
When I clicked on the link,
it took me to the page on the Obama website to
find the polling place.
Within a big blue box on the left was a button
that said "Find Your Polling Location."
Clicking on it takes you right to the look-up
in your state.
Maybe it does in CA, but in OK, I got a notice
saying I would get no info
until the entire field was filled out.
There were red stars by every field I left blank.
.
I hope you correct this on your page cause you
made an excellent point and were
passionate about their "attempt to steal my personal
info" .... but it just wasn't an
accurate portrayal. I know we disagree big time
about this primary and candidate
choice, as maybe many other readers do, but we're
all still loyal readers.
Thx, Bart.
lynn
If I wrote anything that wasn't 100% true I would
correct it.
I'm sure Obama would blame "an
over-enthusiastic volunteer" but facts
are facts.
Excerpt: A mother of five who says she was sexually assaulted
while working for Halliburton in Iraq
is headed for a secretive
arbitration process rather than open court.
A judge in Texas has ruled in favor of her employment
contract, which says you can't
sue the company no matter how many times their
thugs rape you.
How can a contract make rape legal?
Tracy Barker says that while in Iraq she was constantly
propositioned by her superior,
then threatened and isolated after she reported
an incident of sexual assault.
"The manager of the camp said if I wanted safety,
I needed to sleep with him,
and that's all he kept saying to me," said Barker.
Barker's attorneys say Halliburton has a "boys
will be boys" atmosphere at their camps
and is not the type of dispute that she could
have expected to be handled by arbitration.
District Judge Gray Miller, wrote that "Thus
is not a question for this court to decide."
"Sadly," wrote Judge Miller, "sexual
harassment, up to and including sexual assault, is a reality in today's workplace."
So if the judge were raped, he'd feel the same
way?
Rape is a reality, so expect to be raped at work?
Plus, if those Halliburton thugs were having fun raping American women,
think what they're doing to the defenseless Iraqi women...
Subject: I, too, was sexually
exploited
When I reported this with medically documented
injuries sustained after refusing to
"go down" on "authority", I was mandated by the
company to have a psychiatric exam.
The civilian company, sub-contracted to KBR,
informed me that I had to return to the US
for this or else I would be terminated. I also
had to pay for this examination, or lose my job.
Besides losing my job, I also would have lost
the tax-free status for the months worked in Iraq.
A KBR friend reporting similar treatment, HR
told her that she should have known what she was getting into when deciding to
work in a male environment."

Kills Halliburton Suit Does he get paid by Halliburton Or is he just an oil crook like Bush?
Excerpt: Pro-rape Judge Gray Miller dismissed a lawsuit
Friday brought against Halliburton.
The claim was brought by survivors and families
of those killed when a fuel convoy
was attacked by insurgents in Iraq in April 2004.
The lawsuit claimed Halliburton bore responsibility
because it knew the route
was a dangerous one but sent the drivers anyway.
Halliburton denied wrongdoing,
arguing that it couldn't be sued because it was
operating under orders from the Army.
Judge Gray Miller agreed with the oil giant,
saying the Army played a major role in
the decision and it wasn't his job to second-guess
the military.
The court "cannot try a case set on a battlefield
without an impermissible intrusion
into powers expressly granted to the Executive
by the Constitution," wrote Judge Miller.
What's this got to do with Bush, besides his sending Halliburton there?
Why are oil companies held harmless from everything?
Hey Bart.
Awaking on sleeper wednesday, I see headlines
all over the place stating that
the race between Obama and Clinton is a dead
heat and no clear winner yet.
But a look at the figures tells a different story
completely.
Truth be known, Clinton is leading Obama by 93
delegates.
But if Obama had been leading by 93 delegates,
the headlines would read
"Obama pulls ahead with wide lead, Clinton
team in panic."
But instead we get "it's a dead heat".
I just wish they would tell it like it is.
Tim from Red State Indiana
It's the whore media's job to promote the least
effective Democrat.
If they can't have more Bush, any Republican
will do just fine.
Excerpt: I'm getting increasingly weirded out by some of Obama's supporters.
Some people who should know better - hard-bitten,
not-so-young cynics, even - are gushing
about Barack, raving about his "game-changing"
politics, about his "power to inspire," about
how they wept while viewing the now-famous Dipdive
video, and on and on.
Excuse me, but this sounds more like a cult than
a political campaign. The language used here
is the language of evangelical Christianity -
the Obama volunteers speak of "coming to Obama"
in the same way born-again Christians talk about
"coming to Jesus."
But he's not Jesus! He's not going to magically
enable us to transcend the bitter partisanship
that is tearing this country apart. And even
if he is elected, in no way will that show that
somehow we have "gotten beyond" race.
Did you really say calling your President a racists
on national TV was treason?
Not that Bill is my President anymore, but it
was pretty good while it lasted.
It seems I remember you calling the current resident
several things pretty nasty.
Granted not on national TV, but still....
I meant treason to the party, not the country.
Brazile told the world Bill Clinton was a racist.
I guess now she has job security for life on
CNN.
Didn't anybody else think it was weird that Obama
insisted Begala and Carville
be removed from CNN prior to Feb 5th, while the
Obama gushers all stayed?
I'm waiting for Donna to reply and I'll let you
know if she calls you a racist.

Excerpt: She's "ambitious," but he shows "fire in the
belly."
Young political Kennedys endorsed Hillary. Teddy,
76, likes Obama.
If the situation were reversed, pundits would
snort "See? Ted and establishment types back her, but the forward-looking generation backs
him."
Goodbye to the most intimately violent T-shirts
in election history,
including one with, "If Only Hillary had married
O.J. Instead!" Shame.
Goodbye to blaming anything Bill Clinton does
on Hillary (even including
his womanizing like the Kennedy guys - though unlike
them, he got reported on)
I'm voting for Hillary not because she's
a woman - but because *I* am.
Yes, they had to break the rules to get Bill in the 90s.
Half the pricks on Capitol Hill are getting some strange, and much
of it is kinky.
They couldn't pin anything on Bill - until they went below the
belt.
Bart, for the last 4 years, I have visited a lot
of progressive/liberal websites and listened to
8 hours of AAR daily. These habits used
to help keep me on an even keel, but I have started
to avoid the Hillary hate fests so common on
the web these days, and can't even listen to the
formerly delightful Stephanie Miller and the
increasingly unstable Randi Rhodes anymore.
I don't get Stephanie's show - we get NOTHING
but Nazi hate over the airwaves here.
Randi isn't really unstable, she just can't hide
her love for Obama or her hate for Hillary.
Bart, thanks for being there. You are the
first place I go each day on the "internets,"
and some days you are the only place I go because
I just do not have the stomach for
the filth being spewed by people with whom I
used to think I had a lot in common.
Trudi in Michigan (so my vote didn't count
anyway)
We are in the midst of Obama hysteria.
A year ago, Consortiumnews.com and Buzzflash were bedrocks
of sanity,
but they got caught up in the Obama-mania and I maybe that's very profitable
in the short run.
But what will they do if She wins?
Will they spend the next four years attacking their Democratic president?
Ordering CDs and DVDs?
Use this portal and they'll

Quotes
"Ron Paul, who opposes U.S. involvement in
Iraq and Afghanistan, was the top recipient of money from
the military. Obama was second." -- Think Progress, Link
Subject: Let's
go with the charismatic candidate...
...like we did in 2000. Nobody liked Gore;
everybody wanted to have a beer with W.
We were all told to go with the guy we liked
because nobody wanted to be lectured by the class poindexter.
I wish I was better at history so I could remember
how *that* worked out.

Excerpt: Rush Limbaugh kept up his relentless criticism
of front-runner John McCain on Super Tuesday,
opening his hate radio program with a blast at
McCain's conservative credentials and integrity.
Limbaugh, who pays women for sex between rapes
of young boys, accused the McCain camp
of being "dishonest," "insecure" and "resorting
to the same kind of politics as Hillary Clinton."
Bart, can you believe Rachel Maddow fawning over
Obama because he won more states.
It was Pat Buchanan who said, "New York and
California are awfully big states."
How bad is Maddow when next to her Pat Buchanan
makes more sense?
LN
I like Rachel, but her Obama-love has cost her all objectivity.
BTW, some people have asked - AAR stands for Air America Radio
which is the only non-Fascist radio most of America gets.
Bart, never in a million years could I have imagined
that our very best chance
for defeating the Repukes would be slimed by
her own party to this degree.
Good thing she has been through much worse with
the champion shitslingers,
and knows how to handle it and deal with it and
override it.
But it's not the same.
I've never been bothered by a Rethug stalker,
they have no effect on me.
But when a pillar or subscriber or long-time
reader tells you to fuck off,
it has quite a different effect.
They halfway have people convinced that the
Clintons are racist dogs just like the slime
they've been fighting for 30 years.
When your friends turn on you - that hurts.
That whore Zogby had Barack with a double digit
lead in California and when she won, the news channels all said
"We didn't know women
would come out for her the way they did".............HELLO?!!
She could be the first female President of this
backward country, and
WOMEN ARE GONG TO SIT HOME, ESPECIALLY IN CA??
Nope, they just wanted to try and influence the
vote, and ignoring
female voters is a good place to start.
I am tired, soooo tired, of Obamania.
It is mob mentality - it is stupid.
Sarah
Sarah, never believe anything that whore Zogby says.
He pretended Obama was so far ahead to discourage Hillary voters.
You're right Bart - dems will do the best they
can to screw up this opportunity.
Obama reminds me of the guy driving the empty
ice cream truck down the street
- everyone chases because it "looks" good and
thinks it's full of good stuff - but it's empty.
Moveon.org sent me their email about supporting
Obama.
I abruptly quit their mailing list. How
can we/Dems be this stupid?
Matt
Matt, I've been told that MoveOn.org has agreed to support the Democrat
in the Fall,
so I don't care who they support now - unless it's all a pack of lies
like Huffpost.com.
Excerpt: Obamas are, quite frankly, a dime a dozen in
the Democratic party. Everybody knows that
it could have been Harold Ford. Everybody knows
that it could have been Corey Booker.
Either of them would have electrified black voters
equally well and neither of them, from my
perspective, is an order of magnitude less qualified.
Check them out:
Charlie Rangel: No comparison
Joycelyn Elders: Ballsier
Willie Brown: More Powerful
Doug Wilder: Classier, tougher
Harold Ford: More Experienced
"Oil is good. Oil fuels our economy. Oil fuels
freedom. Oil fuels democracy. Oil keeps us warm in the winter, keeps us cool in
the summer, and enables us to travel. Thank God for oil! -- the vulgar Pigboy,
I voted for Hillary and if she loses I will honor
the committment.
I hope the Obama supporters will do the same
if he loses
and not pout and forget to show up in November.
Greg
Michelle Obama said she'd have to "think about it."
I'm not sure the Obama-ites are team players.
Excerpt: Almost regardless of who wins the presidential
nomination, there's small likelihood of serious
debate about the most crucial long term foreign
policy question facing the American people:
Do we, or do we not, want to maintain a global
empire by force of arms?
Or, to put it another way, what's in it for us,
as individual citizens, for the United States
to maintain 800 military bases around the world?
Does the word "superpower"
actually mean anything in today's world?
We wouldn't have enough troops to fight on all
these fronts even if Americans had ever
bought into the imperialist idea, which they
never have. Our vaunted nuclear arsenal has
become the economic equivalent of the Egyptian
pyramids: fantastically expensive, but useless.
Maybe after Bush is gone, we can talk about it.
Bart, Big Media NEVER mention that RFK Jr. is
backing Hillary. It's verboten.
Anything that doesn't fit into the Saint Barack
narrative will not be mentioned,
at least not until the general election. It's
2004 all over again.
Kerry couldn't play hardball with the GOP, and
we have no idea if Obama can either.
Why take the gamble? The Republicans will be
ruthless and relentless.
I want a candidate who can fight the Republicans
and win, ESPECIALLY after
the election, and who will also have people like
Wesley Clark beside her (He is the guy
who along with Bill Clinton actually WON a war)
that is why I will be voting for Hillary.
Mark in Columbus, Ohio
Excerpt: In the words of liberal columnist Jonathan Chait,
'The Right was right about the Clintons.'"...
It will be ironic if in the name of post-partisanship
we manage, with the contrivance of both
Left and Right, to elect Oprah's candidate, a
man with a narrowly partisan record who has
never demonstrated a capacity (rhetoric aside)
either to lead or to govern.
Only Clinton derangement syndrome can explain
the alliance of so many otherwise thoughtful
people of both parties who speak well of the
candidacy of a man with scant knowledge of the
world who has never been tested and has never
run anything larger than a senatorial office.
The question is whether this man - who candidly
admits, "I'm not a manager" - can manage the
vast apparatus of the federal government. Will
packaging be enough to deal with our problems?"
Many on the Left have bought into the Mena-Airport, killed-Vince-Foster
horseshit.
Maybe Obama will hire Ken Starr - would that make this idiocy
sink in?
Yes, the double winners who gave us NAFTA and
granted Most Favored Nation
trading status to China. Two moves that sent
millions of American jobs out of the country.
If Hillary is the nominee, I will support her
over whomever gets the Republican nomination.
But, when are you going to admit that there are
legitimate concerns about who the Clintons are loyal to?
You're talking nonsense.
What do you want me to admit?
When are you going to stop acting like the Bush-ites,
putting your fingers in your ears and
screaming "I CAN'T HERE YOU, I CAN'T HEAR YOU!",
every time someone voices
their concerns about Hillary? How does blind
loyalty serve ANYONE'S ends?
How can you see to type with your head so far
up Hillary's ass?
Keith R
First, go fuck yourself. Nobody talks to me like that.
Who do you think I am, a senate Democrat?
Second, your problem is you're comparing Bill to perfection.
Name a better president - go ahead, I'll wait.
You see?
You fucking can't - Bill Clinton was the best president since FDR
but you want perfection and apparently, you want a pony, too.
Adults understand reality.
I suggest you give that a try.
Bart, my problem with Obama isn't Obama - it's
his supporters.
I have the same problem with God.
People hate teams like the Cowboys and Yankees,
but when asked why
they hate them its not so much the team as it
is the fans who are almost
universally described as obnoxious, self-rightous,
annoying, loud.
This is how the Obama SUPPORTERS appear to me.
They are just too much, give me a break.
He did not part the Red Sea, he gives a nice speech.
Kevin
Excerpt: Gushing pundits predicted that the Kennedy endorsements
would deliver Massachusetts.
Didn't happen.
Feverish news reports of Obama momentum led to
hints that he was winning New Jersey.
Didn't happen.
California's returns were supposed to keep us
up all night because the "force of nature"
that is Obama had erased Clinton's lead in the
state. Oops, it turned out that Hillary's
lead was so substantial that the networks called
the state for her just after midnight.
The whoring promoted a bit of mea culpa
from Tom Brokaw, who has actually been
a voice of reason as so many of his colleagues
have lost their minds for Obama.
"Once again," Brokaw said on MSGOP, "we were wrong."
Nobody got anything "wrong," they just f-ing lied.
Oh, we're all so shocked that the whore media would lie for
Obama.
...and nobody is a bigger whore than John polls-for-sale Zogby.
How does this whore keep his job when he's never right?
Chippy the Chimp is right more than half the time,
so how does Whore Zogby keep getting hired?
If you're always wrong, what good are you?
Besides duping the easily-led, I mean.
Sidebar: I've asked a dozen times, can't get a single reply.
How does it feel to be in bed with the whore media? They lie and lie and lie and lie, but when they lie about Obama
suddenly you believe every word coming out of their whore mouths.
Why can't I get a single Obama backer to explain
why they suddenly buy everything the whore media feeds them?
Excerpt: About California: Some of you may have noticed
our pre-election polling differed (ha
ha) from the actual results. It appears that we underestimated
Hispanic turnout and overestimated
the importance of younger Hispanic voters. We
also overestimated turnout among Black voters.
Those of you who have been following our work
know that we have gotten 13 out of 17 races
right this year, and so many others over the
years. This does happen.
Liar.
Every poll I've seen from Zogby this year was dead wrong, but then
I just follow the big contests so maybe Zogby only flubs the big ones.
Also, he hates Hillary.
Every poll he's gotten wrong has involved Hillary.
He gave us his Nancy Grace Guarantee in New Hampster and
again in California.
Zogby's not a pollster, he's just a highly paid whore with a falsified
resume.
If you want to be lied to, check zogby.com.
"Bart's
right - I'm a whore. I'd
like to sue him, but how could I?"
Everything I've said was a lie and everything
Bart says is true."
Excerpt: Breaking
news: Clinton loaned her campaign $5 million late last month
to remain competitive financially
with the Black John F Kennedy.
Ask anybody - the Democrats are
getting more corporate/lobbyist money than the GOP.
IF
Hillary has to loan herself money - where's all
that corporate/lobbyist money going?
Sidebar: Randi Rhodes Wednesday, with a
cheap shot: "Where did Hillary get that $5M?
I don't want to know! I don't want to know!" implying that she got it from the
mob, or Rupert Murdoch, etc.
We've lost Bob Parry, we've lost
Donna Brazile, Randi is teetering...
Are Democrats afraid of winning?
We are we self-destructing just as we're about to take over?
Excerpt: "Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine standing

It's really exciting and I've had such a great
