to have heard, Obama's evasiveness (about
William Ayers) was disingenuous at best, so
he asked for it.
But it's beginning to look as if he was politically
shrewd.
See, the preposterous Sarah Palin is running around
accusing Obama of "palling around with terrorists."
She tells audiences of true believers that Obama
"is not a man who sees America the way you and I see America."
According to Time, the chairman of the Republican
Party in Virginia, one Jeffrey M. Frederick, explicitly compared
the Democratic presidential nominee to Osama
bin Laden: "Both have friends that bombed the Pentagon," he said.
"That is scary." McCain artlessly tries to have
it both ways. He chastised one elderly nitwit who called Obama an
"Arab," no doubt synonymous with terrorist in
her mind. He called his opponent "a decent family man with whom
I have some disagreements." But he also declined
to criticize Frederick.
I think the consensus is that Ayers is/was a big deal, but by waiting
until 3 weeks
before the election to press the issue, Grumpy just looks tired and
vindictive.

If Obama wins, and I'm still in the camp that
thinks the GOP will steal this election, Obama will be lucky
(that won't be what he'll call it when they finish
with him) to serve one term. They will destroy him twice as
fast as they did Clinton. Can't have someone
like him thinking he can serve two terms so they'll have to put
the horns to him right away. Ain't going to be
no 100 day honeymoon. Make sure he knows that he ain't
doing this twice. Everything he does will be
wrong, everything will be scrutinized, ripped apart, armchair
quarterbacked, and the whore media will scream
foul at every opportunity whilst the GOP cackles and
rubs their hands together as they wait for those
four years to fly by.
And when they take over again (if Obama did win)
the GOP will exact
an even worse punishment on us for having the
nerve to elect him in the first place.

RNC out of Wisconsin, Maine; focus on Fascist states

iPhones Poker
I see there are twenty or so free and pay-for poker games on the iPhone.
Apple claims some of them can be used to play poker "online with friends."
Who knows about this?
We used to try to have weekly poker games, but of all the Bartcop readers
we couldn't come up with nine players at the same time - has anything
changed?
I play a lot of dollar tourneys at Full Tilt and I do pretty good, but
it would
be tons more fun to play with the same people long enough to get to
know them
The regular online games have 40,000 people playing at the same time
so there's almost no possibility of running into someone you know there.
