"If the election took place this week, it would
be a wipe out of major proportions. Even Arizona has to be classified as
leaning toward Obama. McCain, as of now, can be certain of carrying just eight
states with a combined total of only 36 electoral votes."
-- Dick Morris (R-Toe Sucker), Link
Excerpt: A federal law that "prohibits the use of public
funds or resources for partisan political activities"
didn't stop the Bush bastards from traveling
around the country in 2006 to "to lend prestige or
bring federal grants to 99 politically endangered
Republicans that year."
The report traces the abuse of public funds to
Sara Taylor, an aide to Karl Rove.
'Throughout the first 10 months of 2006, she sent
periodic updates to the White House
scheduling director, as well as White House liaisons
at each agency, about which candidates
deserved federal agency support.'"
But you watch - if President Obama sneezes, the sons of bitches will
impeach him
and the Democrats, as always, will be shocked and outraged and we can
depend
on Waxman and Leahy to write a hot letter that'll just make the Republicans
laugh..
"The voters can't stand the thought of another
four years like the past eight - so they will roll the dice, despite Ayers and Reverend
Wright and Acorn, and try something different. If the Bush bastards had been competent
and honest, Obama would never even exist politically." -- Former congressman
John LeBoutillier, Link
Excerpt: Like his repudiation of Rev. Jeremiah Wright,
whose impolitic sermons he implausibly pretended never
to have heard, Obama's evasiveness (about
William Ayers) was disingenuous at best, so
he asked for it.
But it's beginning to look as if he was politically
shrewd.
See, the preposterous Sarah Palin is running around
accusing Obama of "palling around with terrorists."
She tells audiences of true believers that Obama
"is not a man who sees America the way you and I see America."
According to Time, the chairman of the Republican
Party in Virginia, one Jeffrey M. Frederick, explicitly compared
the Democratic presidential nominee to Osama
bin Laden: "Both have friends that bombed the Pentagon," he said.
"That is scary." McCain artlessly tries to have
it both ways. He chastised one elderly nitwit who called Obama an
"Arab," no doubt synonymous with terrorist in
her mind. He called his opponent "a decent family man with whom
I have some disagreements." But he also declined
to criticize Frederick.
I think the consensus is that Ayers is/was a big deal, but by waiting
until 3 weeks
before the election to press the issue, Grumpy just looks tired and
vindictive.
If Obama wins, and I'm still in the camp that
thinks the GOP will steal this election, Obama will be lucky
(that won't be what he'll call it when they finish
with him) to serve one term. They will destroy him twice as
fast as they did Clinton. Can't have someone
like him thinking he can serve two terms so they'll have to put
the horns to him right away. Ain't going to be
no 100 day honeymoon. Make sure he knows that he ain't
doing this twice. Everything he does will be
wrong, everything will be scrutinized, ripped apart, armchair
quarterbacked, and the whore media will scream
foul at every opportunity whilst the GOP cackles and
rubs their hands together as they wait for those
four years to fly by.
And when they take over again (if Obama did win)
the GOP will exact
an even worse punishment on us for having the
nerve to elect him in the first place.
Damn.

Think how different things might be if the Democrats
had a little Bartcop in them.
They're too eager to quit, too eager
to surrender - even when Bush is at 25% in the polls.
They don't even have the brains to raise the
stakes when they're holding the best cards.
Give me one long weekend with these cheese-eating
surrender monkeys
and I'd bitch-slap them into becoming Democrats
with some backbone.
"As crazy as McCain clearly is, this sickly
and possibly terminally ill old man has chosen to have a certifiable right-wing, closed-minded,
bigoted and stunningly ignorant religious zealot as his back-up. Sarah Palin, as vice
president, would in all probability end up becoming president during a McCain first term. This country
and the world simply cannot risk having as the leader of America an end-of-times believer
at this critical moment. It's not just the polar bears and the wolves in Alaska who would suffer under
a Palin presidency. It would be all life on earth." -- --Dave Lindorff,
switching his vote from nader to Obama, Link
Reminder: A vote for Nader is a vote for Bush/McCain.
Don't do it for me, do it for yourself.
If you vote for Nader and McCain/Palin win your state by one vote
you'd rightly think about killing yourself - so let me save you
from that.
If Nader wants to make a difference, let him run for a House seat.
Excerpt: Like cockroaches in the light, the RNC is halting
presidential ads in Wisconsin and Maine,
turning much of its attention to Republican states
where McCain shows signs of blowing donkey.
Their ad operation is doubling its budget to about
$10 million and focusing on crucial states
such as Colorado, Missouri, Indiana and Virginia
where Obama has a ten point lead.
Florida and North Carolina have also been in the
RNC ad mix. Pennsylvania is the
only Democratic leaning swing state apparently
left in the party's ad campaign.
It's been 16 years since we last took the White House from those bastards.
One other thing, haven't heard much talk about it, but SCIENCE is making
a comeback.
After 8 years of sun-worshipping handjob-ism, we're actually going
to allow SCIENCE
to have an effect on national decision making - can you believe that?
America is about to lurch into the future, if that's what we can call
joining every other civilized country on the planet, for Christ's sake.
Is the Republican Party wasting money supporting
John McCain by buying expensive ads
for him in a hopeless battle against Obama when
they could be supporting Republican
candidates running for Congress who might have
a chance to actually win?
I can't tell which is falling faster - the stock
market or McCain's poll numbers.
How long are Republicans going to let the McCain/Palin
ticket suck the life out of the entire party?
How bad does it have to get before the GOP throws
McCain under the Straight Talk Express?
"What good is it to have a hot economy and
a roaring stock market if the President of the United
States is having sex in the Oval Office?" -- Dr
Laura Schlessinger during the GOP's 1998 Clinton Witchhunt
(See back issues)
Remember the good old days?
When Clinton getting oral sex was "a national
tragedy" and "a Constitutional crisis?"
You remember that piece of shit Henry Hyde
screaming, "The flag is falling?" I do.
With the stock market tanking, with families
being foreclosed out of their homes,
with big business laying off thousands
of workers, with everybody's life savings cut in half
we're going to see stress levels like the last 2-3 generations
have never seen.
When I answered Laura's original charge all those years ago, I
pointed out that
since Dad got a promotion and bought that second car and took
the family on their
first real vacation, he and Mom are getting along a lot better
and theie home is happier.
Today, thanks to President Failure and his Wall Street co-thugs,
the opposite is true.
America is broke AND broken and we're on a rudderless ship.
People are scared
about the future and that'll be the longest-lasting "gift" we
get from the GOP.
If only we could get the Democrats to explain the facts
to the ignorant voters.
"Bart, are you complaining about President Bush again?"
Excerpt: Good news - smoking pot may stave off Alzheimer's
disease.
New research shows that the active ingredient
in marijuana may prevent the
formation of deposits in the brain associated
with the degenerative disease.
Researchers at the Scripps Research Institute
in California found that marijuana's
active ingredient, THC, can prevent an enzyme
from accelerating the formation of
"Alzheimer plaques" in the brain more effectively
than commercially marketed drugs.
And we have a pro-science fella about to take charge of the world!
"I no longer have any clear idea what, exactly,
the modern conservative movement stands for. Eight years of "conservative" government
has brought us a doubled national debt, ruinous expansion of entitlement programs,
bridges to nowhere, poster boy Jack Abramoff and an ill-premised, ill-waged war conducted
by politicians of breathtaking arrogance. As a sideshow, it brought us a truly obscene attempt
at federal intervention in the Terry Schiavo case."

McCain and
Palin In Their Own Words:
25 Laughable Quotes by my good friend Danny Kurtzman
Excerpt: "Sarah Palin knows more about energy than probably
anyone else in the United States of America.
-- Johnny the Grouch
Really, John?
She knows more about energy than the Secretary of Energy?
More even than Dick Halliburton Cheney?
"Pray for this country, that our leaders, our
national leaders, are sending soldiers out on a task
that is from God. That's what we have to make
sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan
and that that plan is God's plan."
-- Sarah, blaming God for th Iraq
debacle
Really, Sarah?
God wanted 100,000 Iraqi children killed?
Is that why God started this war?
To kill Saddam and steal Iraq's oil?
What's a barrel of oil go for in Heaven?
Excerpt: How do those policed get simple justice from
a system more protective of police than those it serves?
The real story behind Troopergate is better than
the one created by Republicans or Democrats - the Partisan
Investigation or Big Bully in the State House,
take your pick. The Palins naively believed that, armed with the
power and authority of the top state office,
she (or her husband) could discover and even change the results
of an internal and confidential state trooper
process and get a bad cop canned, because the evidence was
solid that he was, indeed, a bad cop. The only
reason we know he was a bad cop is that he voluntarily
opened his own, otherwise confidential, personnel
files to the public.
Excerpt: DUBLIN (Reuters) - Ireland's biggest bookmaker
said Thursday it would pay out more than 1 million euros
($1.35 million) on bets that Obama will be the
next president, three weeks before the election.
Dublin-based bookmaker Paddy Power said it made
the "unprecedented decision" to pay on bets taken so far,
following Wednesday's final campaign debate between
Obama and his handjob rival John McCain.
"We declare this race well and truly over and
congratulate all those who backed Obama," Power said in a statement.
After McCain's gigantic screw-ups, I think Obama's got this.

I see there are twenty or so free and pay-for poker games on the iPhone.
Apple claims some of them can be used to play poker "online with friends."
Who knows about this?
We used to try to have weekly poker games, but of all the Bartcop readers
we couldn't come up with nine players at the same time - has anything
changed?
I play a lot of dollar tourneys at Full Tilt and I do pretty good, but
it would
be tons more fun to play with the same people long enough to get to
know them
The regular online games have 40,000 people playing at the same time
so there's almost no possibility of running into someone you know there.

Subject: what's the strategery?
Bart,
Man, this country is soooo mismanaged!
The Pentagon hasn't decided on an objective or
a strategy for Afghanistan yet. Jesus Husein Christ!
Excerpt: It is mind-boggling to think that any country
would fight a war for seven years without knowing the
objective (what it seeks to accomplish), but
unfortunately such a question is not inappropriate.

around with terrorists. This is funny because
she has her own radical extremist connections
that could be construed as terrorists as well.
