"$7,800,000,000,000 has now been spent bailing
out Wall Street and banks, and Republicans attack labor unions. This is like blaming
the cancer victim for the tumor. Give me a break. It has been said, if you want to live
like a Republican, vote for the Democrats. It might be said, if you want to bankrupt the nation
paying for the Great Bank Robbery of 2008, vote for the Republicans and blame the workers."

This can't be the Brent Budowskys who posts at consortiumnews because he didn't tell any lies about Hillary in this column.
Excerpt: Consumers kicked off the holiday shopping season
with a frenzy, with the average shopper
spending $372.57, up 7.2% from a year ago, according
to the National Retail Federation.
It was an auspicious start at a time when nervous
retailers are grappling with the Bush economy.
On the first weekend of the holiday shopping
season, 173 million consumers bought in stores,
made purchases online or bought through catalogs,
up 17% from a year ago, according to the NRF.
I remember the same thing happened in 1992.
Poppy Bush was all"Recession?
What recession?" so the nation fired his
lazy ass.
When Clinton promised to "focus like a laser
beam on the economy," America
believed him and retailers were shocked at the
getter-than-expected holiday sales.
Just remember it's the job of the Republicans
to ruin the economy (Reagan, Bush, Bush)
so when a Democrat wins the White House, things
automatically get a lot better real quick.
Excerpt: Paulson was blackmailing Congress in order
to lead a coup by the banking elite under the false guise
of necessary legislation to stop the dyke from
flooding. It merely shifted wealth from one class to another,
as it had done almost a century prior. No sooner
were the words were out of Paulson's mouth before
other financial institutions began imploding,
and with them the disintegration of the global financial system
- much modelled after the lauded system of American
banking.
The crooked Bush bastards aren't even saying where that money
went.
They've refused to account for it - we must assume it was stolen
like everything else.
Hey Nancy - see what happens when you tell crooks they won't be
arrested?
Has anyone looked into how much potential tax
revenue we're losing because
the Bush bastards allow companies with overseas
HQs to pay no federal taxes?
Hell, California makes Nevada companies pay taxes
on the business they do in California,
why can't the US do the same? Is
it related to Halliburton putting its HQ in Dubai?

You’re not that much better than he is. If Jesus exists, and he has questions

Giving Bush a green light to rob, rape, torture and murder must
be an impeachable offense.
Excerpt: Gift cards are designed to reduce closet clutter.
They're always the right color, and they're never
too large or too small. The National Retail
Federation estimates that two-thirds of consumers plan
to buy them and 55% of consumers say they would
like to receive a gift card.
But the warm feelings generated by a gift card
could turn cold in a hurry if that retailer goes out of business.
Gift card holders have few rights when a retailer
files for bankruptcy. And with retail bankruptcies expected
to rise next year, that's a real concern.
A lot of failing retailers are hanging on long enough to get thru Christmas.
How many of them will file bankruptcy on Dec 26th?
If you get a gift card, be outside the store the day when it opens the
day after Christmas.
Maybe you can spend it all before the lawyers call from the courthouse
to close the store.
This is a great graphic - in late 2007.
I wonder why it's making the rounds now?

"Wielding his campaign's massive e-mail list,
the new president could mobilize supporters to press Congress for a new New Deal.
Or, he could mobilize that army to blunt pressure on his government for a new New Deal.
The point is that Obama alone gets to choose — that for all the talk of "bottom-up"
politics, his movement's structure grants him a top-down power that no previous president
had." --
David Sirota, attacking Obama but missing his target, Link
Sirota is one of those guys who lied, cheated and stole to help
Obama beat Hillary.
Now that he's ready to take power, Obama is the enemy who needs
to be stopped?
Maybe Sirota just hated Hillary so much that he was pushed to
support Obama by default..
How did I get in a party of sacless lemmings?
BTW, the first three comments to Sirota:
Seriously,
I know you have to write about something - but OBAMA IS THE CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get a grip.
Change
we can believe in is going on.
Carter
stocked his team with outsiders who didn't know how to work with Congress....
Looks like the people are sticking with Obama, but these self-aggrandizing
pundits seem to think it's their duty to destroy the man before he even gets
into office.
I haven't made a career out of studying Robert
Gates.
I don't know much about him and I'm certainly
not a Gates cheerleader,
but with all the shit Obama's taking, I'm becoming
an Obama cheerleader.
In what has become Parry's new style, he's attacking
Gates with a personal
negative spin on every thought and deed that
Gates might have or had.
For example:
Gates’s avowed reluctance to stay in
a job that some of his long-time supporters lobbied aggressively for him to keep (presumably
with Gates’s approval) should have been unnerving to Obama, who ignored pleas from many
rank-and-file Democrats to jettison Gates, who is a vocal opponent of a withdrawal
timetable from Iraq.
Gates’s implicit complaint that extending
his time back on the world stage was a form of personal martyrdom also sounded disingenuous
to some of his former CIA colleagues, who knew Gates as a CIA bureaucrat
with a burning ambition for power, albeit cloaked in a mild-mannered style.
So - Gates is a power hungry egomaniac?
Compared
to whom? And when reading those
two paragraphs, I realized you could say the
exact same things about Pope Benny the Rat.
Benny the Rat said he prayed that he wouldn't
be elected by the Council of Cardinals (whatever)
when in fact he lobbied the cardinals
behind the scenes, even twisting some arms when needed.
But isn't that what ambitious men do? What makes
Gates so different in Parry's eyes?
Parry's new style of writing is ...catty.
Maybe he's trying to become the new Maureen Dowd,
(not a compliment) but for the last year, when
I read a Parry article, I have to go back and read it again
and take out all the catty personal insults to
see how it reads without the catty-ness.
Read this article and tell me which paragraph
doesn't include catty, personal opinions that paint
Gates in the worst light possible - is that what
good political coverage is about in 2008?
In this case, I think the fact is that
Obama asked Gates to stay and Gates agreed to do that.
Parry sees this as some fake and false Machiavellian
trickery, but isn't it possible that Obama
had his pick of dozens of qualified people
but thought Gates was the best pick? Is Parry saying
that Obama is too stupid to recognize power-hungry
predators when he sees them?
Remember, I was behind Hillary 100 percent,
but these days,
I seem to be the only one giving Obama the benefit
of the doubt.
"Appointing Hillary is a brilliant stroke by
Obama. You know the old phrase, 'Keep your friends close and your enemies closer?'
How can she run for president in 2012? She'd have to run against the incumbent and be critical
of him — the one who made her secretary of state." -- The vulgar Pigboy,
acting like he's the only one who thought of that, Link
Excerpt: David Paredes, a Harvard grad who turned pro,
got fleeced by a player called "Nio Nio."
Asked how much he lost, Paredes tells Kroft,
"I'm probably down $70,000 to that particular player."
Paredes says other players lost higher sums.
"In the range of $250,000, $90,000, $70,000, $210,000."
Damn, if I lose $3 I feel like I've had a bad
day.
Late last year, the poker sleuths got lucky. When
one of the players requested the hand histories of a
suspected cheater known as "Potripper," someone
at Absolute Poker inadvertently sent them an Excel
spreadsheet with 65,000 lines of data that include
all of the cards that had been played in thousands of
games against hundreds of Potripper's opponents.
It allowed Michael Josem to recreate some of the
hands, as the cheater would have seen them, in then
turn them into a video that he posted online,
along with a statistical analysis of the cheater's win rate.
The good news is there's no sense in scamming
the dollar tournaments, so I'm safe.
But if you've been losing $70,000-$250,000 playing
poker online, you'd be better off
sending that money to help build a Higher Hammer.
You'll still be out the money
but at least I'd be nice to you and I'll always
take your phone calls :)
"Obama is trying to put lipstick on the pig
that is US foreign policy. His national security team looks no less hawkish than the team

If you and I each open a pizza parlor and nobody likes your pizza,
are you going to scream insults at the customers who enjoy my pizza?
Wouldn't it be smarter to create a better-tasting pizza?
But why play it smart when you can throw a tantrum, instead?
However... I've had one of my great ideas. What if we attacked America's problems from the other end? Ordinarily
this idea
wouldn't make much sense, but if we're going to throw eight
trillion dollars at our problem and hope it works, I might have a better idea:
Our infrasurcture is crumbling. Our bridges are falling down.
Our roads need a lot of work and nobody is doing anything about it
ao why don't we borrow an idea from FDR
and his WPA?
Since we're throwing trillions at the super-rich, why not do this
instead:
We hire able-bodied people to work on the roads and bridges. We give
them, say,
a 5-year contract so they know they have job stability. With that money,
we expect
them to but a new Detroit-made car and a house that the bank has forclosed
on.
Millions of people would have jobs, Detroits inventories would go down,
maybe far enough to where they'd have to hire more workers to
build more cars.
Millions of people would buy forclosed houses which would turn those
"dead assets"
into monthly payments, which is the reason for a bank to exist.
Bonus: The bridges and roads would be better.
Now, since I have an IQ of 64, we might need some tweaking to my formula,
but anything makes more sense than giving the super-rich eight
trillion dollars.
Trust me, if we give those bastards eight trillion dollars, they're
going to say,
"That's good start, but we need eight trillion
more dollars to make it work."
Their way, the BFEE gets to rob every bank in America - again.
My way, millions of people get jobs, millions of people
get new cars
and millions of people get to raise their kids in a nice new
home.

Costco says 'No' to Christmas...literally
Costco has 520 stores nationwide. But you will
not find "Christmas" in a single store.
That's because Costco says it will not use the
term "Christmas" on its website or in its stores.
Instead, Costco is telling customers it purposely
chooses to use the generic "holiday" verbiage.
You know, they stock holiday gifts, not Christmas
gifts.
Last week, a customer wrote to Costco and asked
this direct question – "Does Costco use the word
'Christmas' in your store advertising or on any
signs anywhere in your stores during the Christmas season?"
Kory Rosacrans, staff manager for Costco replied,
"I guess the answer would be No."
Costco wants you to do your "Christmas" shopping
with them,
while refusing to recognize that Christmas even
exists.

I keep reading about how Bill Clinton's pardon
of Marc Rich will come back to haunt proposed
Attorney General Eric Holder, who didn't block
the pardon (he didn't strongly support it, either).
But what's the big deal about Marc Rich?
I looked into what he was pardoned for, and it was
only civil offenses, not criminal. What
I found out was: Link
So it seems that Marc Rich did less to harm the
US than, say, Dick Cheney or Prescott Bush,
and certainly much less than the group that GHWBush
pardoned. I ask again, so what's the big deal?
Russ
The Clintons have been the whore media's chew toy for 17 years now.
Bush can get 4200 soldiers killed and bankrupt America, but our whore
media wants to
harp on a pardon of somebody nobody ever heard of because the Clintons
are involved.
The Bush bastards pardon the guilty to hide their role in big, global
crimes.
Clinton may have done the right thing with the Rich pardon -
we don't know - but whatever
his reasons, he didn't do it to prevent Rich from testifying about
the crimes of the Clintons.
Sidebar: I got really angry with CNN's chief legal correspondent,
my good friend Jeffrey Toobin for
comparing the Scooter Libby pardon (don't correct
me) with Susan McDougal's pardon.
Susan McDougal was never convicted of a crime
and she did 2+ years of hard time in a see-thru cell like you saw in the Hannibal
Lecter movie. Scooter Libby was found guilty as hell of serious
crimes that probably killed some people and
never served a day, which is why Toobin, who's
supposed to have a brain, should know better.
The whore media will bend over backwards to cover-up serious GOP crimes
but they'll report
every non-sourced rumor from Rush or Drudge as a cold, hard fact if
it's about a Democrat.
We can't say it often enough: Fuck the whore press.

Obama has assembled a team of rivals to implement

Why do pretend journalists write hundreds

If she's not famous, why the fuck
are they writing about her constantly?

they're going to trash him, too, and I'm getting

The assembly of Hillary, Robert Gates, Susan Rice
