I think (hope) Obama is crazy like a fox. He
is going the bipartisan route because he promised he would.
AND - just as it is turning out - he is proving
to the country that HE is the sane, rational , America-loving
REAL President, and the repukes are greedy, obstructionist
assholes. GOP - Greedy Obstructionist Party.
Our problems won't be solved overnight - it has
decades of repuke sabotage to get here. But, when the
stimulus bill starts to show some positive effects
he can point to the repukes and say "These assholes OPPOSED this."
After giving a legitimate effort to be bipartisan
he can say "Hey, I tried. They want to be assholes so fuck them,
we are moving forward with an agenda that will
benefit the PEOPLE."
Bill Press wants to deny money to the districts
of the idiot repukes that voted against the bill. I think that's the
wrong way to go because that will punish innocents
in those districts. Instead, the Democrats in those districts
should scream at the top of their lungs every
time a job is created in that district "Congressman Dickhead voted

park, why would you not want a gun?
When Mrs Bart can convince me to go walking on
some trail, I feel much safer with a gun.
Tell me - what are two pretty girls going to do
if they're miles away from anybody else and they
meet some scumbags on the trail who insist on
seeing them put on a lesbian show for them?
Crying won't help you, praying won't do you no
good.
If some scumbags decide to own you
in the woods, they f-ing own you.
With some luck, you'll only be beaten
and raped - so who likes the way that story ends?
There's a reason why guns are big out West and
not in the city.
If you're vacationing in some tourist trap small
town and can't find a place to park,
you know you're always a shout away from help
if there's a problem - but in the woods?
Add to that the in-the-zoo-with-no-cages factor.
Trust me, I'm not looking to challenge some bear

Go hiking in Rocky Mountain Park, sometime. At
the head of every trail, they give you tips on
how to survive if you meet a mountain
lion or a bear or a who-knows-what's living in those woods.
I assume there are deaths each year from people
who accidentally surprised elk and caribou?
*I* am not looking to meet any wild animals bigger
than a chipmunk in the woods,
but if I do, I'd rather have my Glock there as
some kind of equalizer.

It was tagged again as a link to a blog. I guess
the link had the word "dareland" in it, so it was presumed to be the dareland
blog,
which is hosted at Blogger. Someone
noticed the new link led to the exact same article, and I was tagged as
a spammer.
This caused a mighty ripple through the editor
universe in Wikipedia. I had dared to repost a link I'd been
told to take down,
not because of anything in it, but because the
OLD link was to a blog. This red flag led to the removal of
my posting privileges.
I think Michael Dare is as good a writer as I've seen on the Internet.
He grabs your attention and you always want to keep reading.

You say that If he's right, you'll join him in
saying shame on her for "putting them in there," the "them" being

stimulus bill. Do you really mean that?
"Contraception" is the usual Right Wing shorthand
for all reproductive health care programs, (some of them
shortened it even further, just to "Condoms")
programs that the states are struggling to keep alive.
Or should we just let our women of childbearing
age stumble along, ignorant, ill, and/or pregnant?
Federal stimulus aid for ALL of the programs on
the above list would safeguard jobs, even create them in healthcare,
the arts, and yes, landscaping. Isn't it
the point of the stimulus to get as much money into as many sectors of
the economy as possible?
I find it hard to believe that you agree with
Cafferty on this point.
