"I don't know if you are Muhammad Ali or Floyd
Patterson when it comes to taking a punch. You care far too much what is written
and said about you. You don't relish combat when it becomes
personal and nasty." --
Dax, in a memo to Obama in 2006, Link
Doesn't relish combat when it becomes personal
and nasty?
Does that mean Obama's in the wrong line
of work?
Excerpt: As soon as Orly Taitz answered her phone, the
Queen of the Birthers breathlessly told me the president was 'connected'
to 39
bogus Social Security numbers, including one
for a deceased person born in 1890. 'If Obama is not stopped, we will be
in Nazi Germany!'
Taitz, who has a thick Russian accent, shrieked.
'Forgery is a criminal matter and he committed it. Obama should be in the
Big House, not the White House!'
Since Taitz's 'birther' campaign began, in the
summer of 2008, during the late stages of the Democratic primaries, the
dentist, lawyer,
and mother of three has begun winning friends
in high places. Taitz told me excitedly that since she opened her Facebook
account,
she has had to hire a staff of five to process
the thousands of friend requests she receives each week.
Among those requesting her online friendship,
Taitz said, are House Minority Whip Eric Cantor, Rep. Mary Bono (R-CA),
and RNC Token Black Tom Michael Steele. She has
even received a request, she said, from someone claiming to be Netanyahu...
Among Taitz's 'biggest supporters,' she said,
is Lou Dobbs, the King of the Handjobs. 'I did Lou's radio
show for half an hour
and he was very understanding,' she told me.
'He became a supporter and since then he became a supporter of the whole
Birther issue.'
Indeed, during the July 15 broadcast of Dobbs'
radio show, he praised Taitz's work, suggested Obama might be 'undocumented,'
and demanded the president 'show the documents'
to prove he was born in the United States.
Everyone knows it’s all about the money, so why
hasn’t
someone challenged this kind of blatant quid
pro quo in the courts?
It’s an obvious conflict of interest no matter
what laws they, the thieves themselves,
have enacted to make it legal. It’s a conspiracy
to defraud the citizens of the United States.
If I had the money for an attorney, I’d do it
myself.
Mike
It would be much faster and cheaperr to coner
them with a camera and ask,
"If you're not taking bribes from the insurance
bastards, please explain why you are fighting so hard to keep poor
families from getting insurance."
It's so f-ing easy but nobody with a camera dares
to ask simple questions.
"I'm a
whore - not a newsman. I ask whatever
questions my corporate masters tell me to ask."
"People are just saying things to stir the
pot or to create an audience for themselves. There’s no reality to that. A lot of that is simple grandstanding,
making outrageous statements, provocateur Glenn Beck at his best. But I don’t think there’s any reality
to it."

I heard a novel solution to the CA budget problem:
Start a ballot initiative to legalize Gay Marriage!
Every time one of these initiatives come around,
religious zealots across the country come to CA to protest.
It's basically tourist revenue. Millions of dollars
pumped into the local economy, from out-of-state folks.
Make this an annual event, so the state tap into
this revenue stream more than once.
Not only can CA benefit financially, but the gay
community can as well.
Once the zealots have exhausted their war chest,
one of these initiatives will pass.
In the meantime, the state of CA will owe a debt
of gratitude to the gay community for reviving their economy.

That and taxing pot $50 an ounce should do the trick.
Excerpt: I have a really good friend who was convicted
of killing two innocent people when she was nineteen years old
on a horrible night of 1969 cult madness. Her
name is Leslie Van Houten and I think you would like her as much as I do.
She was one of those notorious "Manson girls"
who shaved their heads, carved X's in their foreheads and laughed, joked,
and sang their way through the courthouse straight
to death row without the slightest trace of remorse forty years ago.
Leslie is hardly a "Manson girl" today. Sixty
years old, she looks back from prison on her involvement in the La Bianca
murders (the night after the Tate massacre) in
utter horror, shame, and guilt and takes full responsibility for her part
in the crimes.
I think it's time to parole her.
I do, too.
She did her time - she should be let out of that 39-year cage.
Excerpt: CIA director Leon Panetta, in an article published
Sunday, said Democrats must recognize that the "reality" of 9/11
is what drove the crimeds of the Bush bastards
after 9-11, which somehow should justify not looking into suspected crimes.
He added, in an apparent warning to the House
Intelligence Committee, that "focusing on the past"
could hurt the CIA’s core mission amid a climate
of recriminations over its practices.
Fuck them.
I'd rather hear the truth than allow the CIA
to cover-up their many crimes.
"I’ve become increasingly concerned that the focus
on the past, especially in Congress, threatens to distract the CIA
from its crucial core missions: intelligence
collection, analysis and covert action," Panetta opined in the Washington
Whore Post.
"In our democracy, effective congressional oversight
of intelligence is important, but it depends as much on consensus
as it does on secrecy," he continued. "We need
broad agreement between the executive and legislative branches on what
our intelligence organizations do and why. For
much of our history, we have had that. Over the past eight years, on specific
issues - including the detention and interrogation
of terrorists - the consensus deteriorated. That contributed to an atmosphere
of declining trust, growing frustration and more
frequent leaks of properly classified information.
Well if they'd stop committing crimes we wouldn't need to watch them
so closely.
Is Panetta too stupid to realize they kept crimes from him for six
months?
What other crimes are they keeping from him still?
Hey Bart. Just wanted to say thanks
for all you do.
I have been a regular visitor to your site since
I first heard Mike Malloy mention it about 4 or 5 years ago.
I've bought a few stickers over the years.
Not much, I know.
Anyway, I know you're not rolling in money and
I wish I could help, but I've been unemployed since March.
My office closed down and we all lost our jobs.
I realize this does you no good, but I mention it
because we're out here, it's just that many of
us are scraping by. We do care.
Scott in Sacramento CA
Scott, thanks for that.
I know a lot of people are hurting right now.
"I had just put the casket in the hearse and
I was watching it drive away when a beautiful blonde woman comes up and embraces me. I said to
her, 'You have a drink on you? You have a car?' She said, 'Daddy, it's me--Tatum!' I was just
trying to be funny with a strange Swedish woman, and it's my daughter. It's so sick." -- Ryan O'Neal,
admitting to hitting on his daughter at Farrah Fawcett's funeral,

Excerpt: In Windsor, Ontario, a man was wrapping up another
long day tormenting and terrorizing strangers on the telephone.
Working from his apartment, "Dex" heads a network
of so-called pranksters who have spent more than a year engaged in
an orgy of criminal activity--vandalism, threats,
harassment, impersonation, hacking, and other assorted felonies and
misdemeanors--targeting U.S. businesses and residents.
Coalescing in an online chat room, members of
the group, known as Pranknet, use the telephone to carry out cruel and
outrageous hoaxes, which they broadcast live
around-the-clock on the Internet. Masquerading as hotel employees,
emergency service workers, and representatives
of fire alarm companies, "Dex" and his cohorts have successfully
prodded unwitting victims to destroy hotel rooms
and lobbies, set off sprinkler systems, activate fire alarms, and
damage assorted fast food restaurants.
But while Pranknet's hoaxes have caused millions
of dollars in damages, it is the group's efforts to degrade
and frighten targets that makes it even more
odious.
"Tell your congressmen and senators when they're
home for the summer recess that it's too soon to address
this issue. We've only been debating it for 97 years. That's not enough! Let's study this
problem more before we do anything about it."

Excerpt: It used to be that there were some services and
institutions so vital to our nation that they were exempt from market pressures.
Some things we just didn't do for money. The
United States always defined capitalism, but it didn't used to define us.
But now
it's becoming all that we are.
Did you know, for example, that there was a time
when being called a "war profiteer" was a bad thing? But now our war zones
are dominated by private contractors and mercenaries
who work for corporations. There are more private contractors in Iraq
than American troops, and we pay them generous
salaries to do jobs the troops used to do for themselves -- like laundry.
War is not supposed to turn a profit, but our
wars have become boondoggles for weapons manufacturers and connected civilian
contractors.
Subject: Re: McCain, on the "vicious
attacks" Sarah Palin has had to "suffer."
Doesn't McCain even remember the South Carolina
primary of 2000,
where he was himself viciously attacked by the
Bush Crime family?
TMeers
Sure he does, but he's gotta pretend to show loyalty
to Palin because he was
desperate enough to put her a heartbeat away
from running Planet Earth, the idiot.
Anything less would be an admission of what a
lightweight she is.
Excerpt: "No more than five or six minutes elapsed from
the time the police were alerted to the possibility of a break-in at a
home
in a quiet residential neighborhood and the awful
clamping of handcuffs on the wrists of the Professor Henry Louis Gates.
If Professor Gates ranted and raved at the cop
who entered his home uninvited with a badge, a gun and an attitude,
he didn’t rant and rave for long. The 911 call
came in at about 12:45 on the afternoon of July 16 and, as The Times
has reported, Mr. Gates was arrested, cuffed
and about to be led off to jail by 12:51.
The charge: angry while black.
So far exactly the wrong lessons are being drawn
from this - especially for black people. The message that has gone out
that powerful African-American leaders like Mr.
Gates and President Obama will be very publicly slapped down for
speaking up and speaking out about police misbehavior,
and that the proper response if you think you are being unfairly
targeted by the police because of your race is
to chill.
Subject: Republicans want to
ban human-animal hybrids!
Senate Republicans have introduced
legislation to ban the creation of human-animal hybrids.
What?
First Republicans started cheating on their wives.
Then they moved up to hookers, male underage
pages, sex in men's rooms, and gay male hookers while doing meth.
So this new Republican interest in human animal
hybrids seems like a baaaaah-d idea.
