Gray Davis wasn't pulled from office because he wanted to pay the bills.
He was pulled from office because he won his re-election.

Barely ten weeks after he won, The Republicans began the effort and really got going when
Darrel Issa (R-San Diego, Car Thief) funded it with $2 million dollars to gather signatures.

Many months later when it finally had the signatures and had passed all the legal hurdles,
the claim was...because he was because he was doing a bad job.

Buchanan: Hitler didn’t want war

Hey Bart,

After seeing your website this evening, seeing Jeri Ryan brought back a flood of memories!
I use to work with her dad in Paducah, KY, before I went into the military.

Her dad is a "perfect ass". After my right foot got butchered by Navy doctors and I came home,
this SOB had the never to tell me that there was nothing wrong with me and I shouldn't be parking
in handicap parking. I looked the asshole straight in the eye and told him, "Gee, I guess that 30%
I get from the VA says otherwise doesn't it?!" I told him to "fuck off".
Talk about a half-ass Nazi, this guy was. He seriously thought he was the "shit"!

The hotel had a bar in it called the Silver Saddle and one night she was in there with her "future husband"
Jack Ryan and her mom and dad. Her dad was drunk off of his ass. Anyway, a slow song came on and I
asked her to dance, she was really sweet. Nothing like her old man. I really liked holding her in my arms!
Actually, she was very down to earth, very proper. I do remember her asking me how I knew her dad
and I told her I use to work him at the "Big E". After that, she felt at ease with me.

They moved to California to be close to the grandkids and his daughter.
But, I never forgot about dancing with the future Miss Illinois.

I really dropped the ball this time.
I promise I had no intention of claiming I wote that.

Truth is, I'm not that stupid.
Bartcop.com  is read by dozens.
Any attempt on my part to steal someone else's rant would be uncovered within minutes.

When I ran that, I didn't know it would get hueueueueuege.  (Do I owe Paris Hilton $5?)

It was sent to me without an identified author and I liked it so I ran it, but looking back,
I can see how the way it was presented, one could assume it was mine.

Over the years it's been suggested that I should sometimes write under another name,
perhaps in an attempt to gain "journalistic credibility."

My first reaction to that is "Blow me, I already have more credibility than those
sell-out sons of bitches." ...but the truth is I have no chance of disguising my writing style.

A religious GOP rethug is a train wreck handjob waiting to happen and I call them as I see them.

If I disappeared and someone else showed up screeching about
"the religio-handjobs who steal from the sick and the old,"
I think some people might say, "That sounds like Bartcop."

The guy who wrote the "Fuck you, GOP" rant can't help but ring a familiar tone.
They are lying, cheating, murdering, torturing, democracy-hating, torture-loving sons of bitches

Bart, the Administration gives up on Van Jones because of Glenn Beck. Glenn Beck!! WTF?

It appears to me the White House (and Democrats) are practically in chaos.
They are giving the opposition everything they could want to defeat the policies they were elected to pass!
It seems the whole purpose is no longer 'change we can believe in', or 'changing the way Washington works',
but trying for bi-partisanship at no matter the cost.

Obama's quasi need or desire, to work with and try to please everyone has become an albatross
around the Administration's neck. It could end up sinking him.
If you're going to go down, why not at least go down FIGHTING?

Democrats are looking weak! We had 8 years of Dems looking and acting weak and I am sick of it!
In the meantime.Glenn Beck (and his ilk) becomes even more empowered. He believes he has succeeded.

People are already taking bets on who his next "victim" will be.
Then you have the criticisms of the President's speech to children. Unbelievable!
But we know the speech is not the real issue here.

Racism. Politics. A determined attempt to undermind this presidency.
All this is tied in together.
We have several very real problems, and I am very concerned.

Subject: Obama's statement about keeping your health plan NOT TRUE

President Obama says, "If you like your health care plan you can keep it."
This statement is not true.

When health care reform passes you will no longer be able to buy the kind of health insurance you have now.
For example, if the plan you have now excludes coverage for preexisting conditions, that will go away.
If they have a cap on what they will pay out if you are really sick, that will go away.
If they want to drop you when you are sick or raise your rates so you can't afford it, that will go away as well.
You will no longer be denied life saving procedures by insurance company death panels like you have now.

So when Obama says that you can keep your health plan, don't believe him. He's lying to you.
He's going to force you to get a better plan for less money whether you like it or not.

Gang Rape In West Palm Beach
 16 year old pleads guilty, agrees to testify against others

He faces a minimum of 49 years in prison and he could get life in prison.
 

I know this is dumb question - but why did he and his stupid friends do that?

He left a used condom at the scene.  He had to know he was going to get caught\
so he had to know he was probably going to do some time in prison ...probably a lot of it.

If even you're the most crazed, starved-for-sex idiot ever, was your "fun" worth 49 years in prison?

For 49 years, he's not going to have any kind of normal sex with a woman.
For 49 years, he's not going to have a great steak or a flat screen TV or a nice car.
For 49 years, he's not going to see a beach or a sunset or a live football game.
For 49 years, he's not going to see his friends and family in any meaningful way.

He chose to give all that up and I have to wonder why that doesn't bother him..

This dumbass was 14 when he threw his entire life away for a couple of hours of wilding.

Healthcare didn't have to go this way

confided the unnamed aide, that the president "will do almost anything it takes to get one." Such desperate confessions of politics
as usual not only serve the president poorly but damage the fresh brand that he brought to Washington after his election last year.
They are the residue of an ill-conceived strategy that has left Obama politically vulnerable, attenuated his connection with loyal
progressives, and blurred his most important message...

For a president who wants reform and change, citizen agitation is an important instrument of power, not an obstacle to deal making.
But Obama surrendered that powerful weapon when he chose aides who prefer lobbyists to activists and adopted a strategy that ranks
bipartisan agreement above policy substance. The telltale remark came from still another anonymous aide who boasted recently that the
White House would welcome a "confrontation" with Democratic liberals over healthcare because it would "show he is willing to stare down
his own party to get things done."
 

We keep seeing the same thing and I have no idea how to explain it.
The ONLY time Democrats get tough   -   is with each other.

According to this unnamed aide, Obama "would welcome" a chance to stare down his own party,
yet he refuses to stare down the Fascist dogs who are thwarting the will of the people who voted for change.

The worst part?
Obama was THE guy who was going to do things differently.
Obama was THE guy who would finally and certainly bring change,
but his main goal seems to be to get the rabid dogs to like him and they hate his f-ing guts.

The media told us thousands of times about all the new faces Obama brough to politics.
How betrayed will they feel if Obama continues down this road of same-old, same-old??

Mexico’s New Drug Law Makes Sense

Mexico has taken a bold and pragmatic step in how they will deal with the “drug problem” that currently
is being felt in much of the industrialized world. Here are the provisions of the new drug law:

Drug Users: no arrests for personal possession of 1/2 gram of cocaine, 5 grams of marijuana, 50 milligrams of heroin,
40 milligrams of meth, or .15 milligrams of LSD. If caught with less than these amounts the police will give the person
the address of the nearest rehab center and suggest that they visit. Hell, they don’t arrest small-time users anyway,
instead they shake them down for a little bribe money.

Treatment: third time offenders get mandatory treatment

Dealers: Anyone with up to 1,000 times the legal amounts can be arrested by the state police. People with larger
amounts would be deemed to be traffickers and handed over the the Feds. You don’t want to mess with the Feds.

It doesn’t take a genius to see that the never-ending “war on drugs” has been a colossal, expensive failure for over 40 years,
both at home and abroad. The present system has filled the prisons in the US beyond capacity with pot smokers and has
turned Mexico into a country being terrorized by the mighty drug cartels. This ain’t working, and my hat is off to President
Calderon and the Mexican Congress for seeking a new direction.
 

I offer a shot of Chinaco to the Mexican government for doing what needed to be done.

Our district is allowing parents to have their kids “opt out” from viewing the President’s address.  (Letter attached)

I don’t get how they can decree that this exception is for this “one endeavor,” and this “one endeavor only.”
How do they know that?  Are they able to see into the future and determine that there will be no other challenges,
no other reasons to make an exception?

Did I mention that we live in an openly gay community?  Lol!
It’s all very mixed here in our town/district, but our school board is right-wing whacko nuts!!!

Lisa, I have a theory about this:

Obama is on the ropes, and like a good boxer, the Rethugs are pounding him.
This talking-to-the-kids is a smokescreen - it's just the latest excuse to pummel him.

They're going to pound him until he fights back.
They're testing him to see where his breaking point is.

Once Obama does fight back, they will feign outrage and say,
"We had no idea that the president was capable of this much anger.
 We wonder if he's fit to govern with his uncontrollable rage.
  Is Obama mentally capable of running the country and the free world?"

It was a blunder to say, in effect, "No matter how mean you are, I won't get angry."

It's like several years ago, when Britney Spears said she was a virgin.
We all knew it wouldn't last, and now Obama's in the same corner.

If he'd shown some normal temper and some normal fight
we wouldn't be watching the GOP push him and push him and push him.

OMG, the speech is scheduled for NEXT Tuesday, and yet his speech is already angering some parents?
The link goes to a story with the headline "Many conservatives enraged over Obama school speech"
- not "proposed speech," the speech he has not given yet.  They are mad because he might say something
they do not like?  Can't they wait for him to talk first?

"Many conservative parents aren't buying it. They're convinced the president is going to use the
opportunity to press a partisan political agenda on impressionable young minds..."

So the article admits these people have no idea what he will say, but they are sure it will be something partisan?
This "Many conservative parents" - is it what?  10 people?  In a crowd of 3, 2 is 'many', all things being relative...

The bill won't make drugs cheaper, and it might make paperwork for doctors even more unwieldy and complex than it is now.
In fact, the various reform measures suck so badly that PhRMA, the notorious mouthpiece for the pharmaceutical industry
which last year spent more than $20 million lobbying against health care reform, is now gratefully spending more than seven
times that much on a marketing campaign to help the president get what he wants.

Subject: 35M on food stamps

I'm not counted among that 35 million on food stamps.  I'm a retired firefighter, living on an $837 a month
Social Security stipend and a $33 a month SSP allowance from the State of California.  When I first went on SS,
that SSP grant from the state was $127 so not being able to get food stamps because of it wasn't a big deal.

Now that Schwarzenegger and his Yacht Party cronies have f**ked up California beyond any hope for repair,
it's down to $33 a month and guess what?  I'm STILL not entitled to food stamps because of it.

Thank God for ramen noodles, eh?
