"I think this President is anything but boorish.
The face that we see is one of dignity & gravitas &
utter reasonableness." -- Robert Reich, telling Peggy
Noonan to go fuck herself after she called Obama "boorish."

I don't like the traitor Reich, but he's
right this time.
Racist monkey handjobs like to call Obama
"arrogant" but he's anything but.
Obama needs to be more arrogant because
he's too damn nice as it is.
If you kick Obama in the balls, he says,
"I hope you didn't hurt your foot."
Excerpt: One of the things about the so-called Gang of
Six -- the group of Senators to which Max Baucus issued
an exclusive invitation to participate in health
care negotiations -- is that each one started out the year in a place
of seeming electoral invincibility. Baucus, Kent
Conrad, Jeff Bingaman, Olympia Snowe, Chuck Grassley and
Mike Enzi won re-election with an average of
72 percent of the vote as of their last election, and none had a
challenger that came closer than 39 points.
It now appears that, for some of these Senators,
it's a good thing that they managed to bank some goodwill with the voters.
Grassley is the most obvious case. His approval
rating in Iowa is down to 57 percent, according to the latest poll.
That's not a bad result -- a lot of Senators
would kill for that number -- but it's much worse than Grassley is used
to,
and reflects an 18-point decline since the start
of the year."
If only we could depend on the voting morons to punish these bastards.
"I guess of the three, I would take Rush Limbaugh,

the painkillers, which he always has." --
Barney Frank, when asked who he'd have dinner with, Pigboy, Beck or Ann
Coulter,
Excerpt: Many Americans, myself included, are mad as hell
because we are victimized by impersonal and
greedy economic forces on the one hand, and asked
to support an escalation of a war without any
success strategy on the other, which is not the
change we voted for.
Stories of soaring and skyrocketing Wall Street
and banking bonuses are side by side on the news with
stories of joblessness that is in truth higher
than 15 percent, with credit card interest rates rising, with home
values falling, with foreclosures mounting in
a Grapes of Wrath economy that for most Americans is little
different from what it was under President George
W. Bush.
Even now, the president gives a speech that reminds
us of how little has been achieved for change on
Wall Street and banking, and even now speaks
of healthcare in generic terms, not waging the fight he
should on key issues while he gives speeches
of "Yes, we can" and tells stories of "I'm all fired up and
ready to do," which bear no similarity to Franklin
Roosevelt or the Kennedys.
My column in The Hill today is tough, tough on
the president for not fighting for the reforms that would
have created a historic political realignment
and stood up for average Americans against impersonal forces,
and tough on Republicans for being the Party
of No that is allowing itself to be a homepage for hate."

$500,000 to $1 million for the pharmacy’s assets and another $100,000 to $250,000 to Ross’s wife, Holly,

Excerpt: Richard and Jacqueline Ruhl weren’t trying to
offend anyone with a float they created for the Fredericktown Tomato Show
Parade,
they were merely trying to get the attention
of their fellow citizens and encourage them to let their voices be heard.
They designed a float that coupled the Nazi flag
with an image of President Barack Obama with a swastika around his arm.
It also contained the phrase, “Wake up America.“
The float was denied entry into the parade by the Tomato Show Board
of Directors because board members felt it detracted
from the family-friendly atmosphere the parade was dedicated to creating.
“We felt the parade was not the right venue to
air such negative political statements,” a member of the board of directors
said.
The Ruhls, however, felt they were on target with
their float and their message.
“Politics have been a worry to us lately, and
many others,” Jackie said. “We are concerned for our grandchildren; our
son and his family.
We are concerned about them; concerned about
the direction Obama seems to be taking us in to the point we thought we
needed to do something.”
In their efforts to educate themselves on today’s
politics and political motives, the Ruhls found what they believe to be
“strong parallels between what President Obama
is doing and Adolf Hitler.”

I hope you have a chance to hear it.
Jesus tap-dancing, spreadable Christ on a frickin'
cracker, I haven't a clue what the eff you are talking
about, but I get the feeling you didn't red it either.
After viewing vids and clips on the web, I noticed
that, besides the obvious color aspect,
most teabaggers were the young or old… very few
middle agers. Maybe the middle agers are
too busy trying to make a living to concern themselves
with such stuff. No matter, those that did go
to this demonstration seem to be those that are
disenfranchised from mainstream society.
The young have not yet found their place and the
old have lost their place.
Fear seems to be the common factor here… fear
of not belonging… fear of the unknown.
By joining a group that feeds their fear, they
can now feel as though they belong, that they
are not alone. Some people might call this “mob
mentality”. Some people might be right to do so.

"Play every night? I haven't seen you at the
Bellagio in a year." --
Doyle Brunson, the Les Paul of poker players to Phil Ivey, the "Tiger
Woods" of poker (gag)
Note: The Bellagio hosts the biggest poker cash games on the planet.
They have a room at the Bellagio, perhaps called "Bobby's Room"
where
the multi-millionaire poker players play for crazy amounts of
real cash money.
"If you'd stop playing those penny ante games,
...I might show up." --
Phil Ivey, in reply
It was a light-hearted exchange, but I think
this demonstrates what level of poker Phil Ivey plays.
He doesn't do a lot of TV because TV money,
as big as it is, is small change to him.
I recently mentioned Annie Duke warring
with Joan Rivers on The Apprentice?
In that same interview, she said, "I'm
nowhere near Phil Ivey's league," and
I found out why.
I recently heard that some smart-ass rich
guy showed up in Vegas because he fancied himself
a big-time poker player and wanted to play
against the best there was. Phil Ivey took him for $8M.
I love playing poker, but I wonder if I'd
still love it
if I was in the habit of saying, "I'll
raise you one million dollars."
I am always torn between being either pissed or
amused when some politically-correct person writes in to admonish you
for your use of the word 'nigger'. Being
a proud member of the reality-based world, I can see the rampant
racism that
not only remains in our society, but is growing
by leaps and bounds. We not only suffer individual racism, but also
suffer
institutionalized racism. I defy any person that
is offended by the 'nword' to hang with a group of inner city youths
(inner city being another euphemism for the N
word as well as ACORN, well-spoken black man, etc) and ask them
if we are in a post-racial society. The do-gooder
would get a real lesson in how racist America still is.
You know, Maher knows, I know, Stewart knows,
we all know that the right-wing racists pricks are drooling over
the prospect of calling Obama a 'nigger'.
They have used dog-whistle words for over the past 4 decades to call blacks
niggers
but that just hasn't been satisfying enough for
them. I think it is a good thing when you call a racist out on being
a racist.
Using the euphemism 'the N word' in response
to these racists pricks, lessens the impact that their vile hatred
has on
America and makes them seem not so bad.
Genn Beck, Bill Oreilly, Sean Hannity, Joe Wilson,
Lindsay Graham, Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, Saint Reagan,
Dubya, G H W Bush, Barbara Bush, half of
the neighbors on my block, a large number of my coworkers,
and on and on and on and on are all racist pricks.
Open your eyes America! The talking heads on cable
and right wing hate radio are making racism acceptable
and this is going to inevitably result
in violence and death against innocent black Americans. When they
respond in-kind,
who will blame them. There are some very, very
bad times coming for our country and all non-racists Americans must
speak up now to stop the potential blood bath!!!

the N word. I did not say I had never heard it.
I said I could not remember the last time I heard
it except in a movie or TV show.
Same thing.
My original point was to take issue with your
assertion that Republican Senators and Members of the House
use the N word. I said it then and I will
repeat it. You have no proof that they do and it is wrong to claim
they do.
I have no proof that you eat food.
Surely you do, but I can't prove it.
You want me to agree with you and I don't.
"Nigger" is a word that racists use every fucking
day of their lives.
You refuse to accept that.
I don't believe they do. You claim to know
that McCain uses the N word when you do not know any such thing.
You might believe he does, although you don't
even have good reason to believe it, but you sure as hell don't know that
he does.
Can you see the difference?
Dave
I think you have a child-like view of the world.
McCain called his wife a cunt in front of reporters,
yet you think he's above using the word nigger?.

Excerpt: Rep. Hank Johnson is standing by his comments
that Rep. Joe Wilson's "You lie!" outburst at Obama
"instigated more racist sentiment" and could
lead to a resurgence of the Ku Klux Klan.
Johnson, a Georgia Democrat, says that he doesn't
think that most of Obama's opponents are racists,
but that he believes Wilson's comments "winked
at a racist element" and that there is a small but
"racially motivated fringe" among those who disapprove
of the president and his policies.
"Wilson is a canny politician," Johnson said.
'His outburst was a carefully calculated appeal to a particular
constituency who question the legitimacy of Obama's
presidency. The symbolism of his act, which violated
the rules of the House and attacked the dignity
of the president's office, emboldened and validated those who
believe that Obama, despite having been lawfully
elected, is an illegitimate occupant of the White House.
