UN Speech
Quotes
"When you have our own president here apologizing
for past policies by previous administrations and basically giving a speech that's
all about him, it's very hard to imagine what other governments would see profit in actually thanking
the United States for some of the things we've done in the past, like, oh, I don't know, defending freedom
around the world, just to pick one at random." -- John Bolton,
Link
Somebody has to apologize for Bush's crimes.
And listen to Bolton - pretending they
invaded Iraq to "defend freedom around
the world."
Those stolen trillions of dollars were just
an accidental, unintended side effect, right John?
Excerpt: If the Republicans retake Congress, they will
absolutely try to impeach Obama.
And it'll be based upon a supremely ridiculous
charge..
If we follow the current trajectory of far-right
attacks to their logical yet insane conclusion, it makes sense
in a very eerie way. Have you seen the television
commercials solemnly defending our right to poison our kids
with "juice drinks and soda?" There you go...
I've been following the Republican descent into
the realms of the bizarre for some time now, and it wasn't until
the "czars" thing broke that I became convinced
that if they retook Congress they'll try to impeach him.
The grounds for the impeachment and the language
used to sell it will likely be fabricated by either Glenn Beck or Rush
Limbaugh.
I mean, 100 Republican members of Congress have
signed onto Rep. Jack Kingston's cartoonish czar bill.
100 House Republicans out of 177 have attached
their names to a bill that was essentially invented as a television bit
by Glenn Beck without any regard for the fact
that "czar" is a nickname invented by the press, and that every president
-- all of them! -- has employed policy and political
advisers within their administrations. But it functions as an effective
Beck attack because he knows his audience isn't
bright enough to distinguish "czars" from "communists."
"19 percent of Americans have an unfavorable
view of Glenn Beck while Rush Limbaugh's unfavorables
are at 50 percent."
-- Nate Silver, Link
"Obama still has an 80% likability rating and
Bill Clinton is more popular than ever which has to be drivin' the

Excerpt: In some ways, Burns' new series sounds like almost
as radical a critique of free market excess
as Michael Moore's new "Capitalism: A Love Story."
Of course, it's unlikely to cause as much of
an uproar as "Capitalism" because Moore is a
natural magnet for controversy while Burns' films,
with their lilting music and cozy slo-mo zooms,
can make the most incendiary historical events
appear almost as soothing as a glass of warm
milk.
However, Poniewozik has uncovered the razor blade
inside Burns' cinematic pillow.
They have to attack Burns because he wants to save Yellowstone and Yosemite.
That makes him bad so he must be destroyed.
If Glenn Beck rails against him - he's out of business.
.
How did we let the loons take charge?
"The left has no one to compare to Beck or
Limbaugh, who are truly unique in the way yahoo/uneducated lemmings flock to
be spoon fed by them, especially when the winger media keeps telling us how popular/important
Beck/Limbaugh are by pointing out their vast viewership."
-- Shiloh Link
"Glenn Beck seems less coherent and emotionally
stable than the typical street-corner madman with a doomsday sandwich board. He
strikes me as having some serious mental health issues and it seems a bit cruel to put him
on display as entertainment." --
Quixote, Link
Excerpt: So what was Bob Woodward talking about?
Some sort of electromagnetic weapon? An invisible
death ray?
The Voice of God device that (allegedly) makes
someone think they're listening to the Almighty?
Woodward claims he knows – but he's not telling.
The author says a top-secret capability developed
by the U.S. military has changed the war in Iraq.
Whatever "it" is, it's being used to locate,
target and kill key Al Qaeda figures and other insurgents.
And he credits it with the dramatic drop in violence
otherwise widely attributed to last year's surge of U.S. troops.
Woodward has compared the "thing" to the top-secret
Manhattan Project that developed the atomic bomb,
saying, "Some day in history, it will be described
to people's amazement." But the details must remain secret
for now or it would "get people killed."
That's a confusing remark, given that he also
says the terrorists are well aware of the new capability:
"The enemy knows because they've been getting
wiped out and a lot of them have been killed. It's not news to them."
He sayst that the secret is "a wonderful example
of American ingenuity solving a problem in war."
I don't believe anything Woodward writes.
Like Russert did, he trades his integrity for a scoop, which is often
a lie.
Excerpt: The notion that the GOP is interested in cooperating
with Democrats is evaporating quickly. Meanwhile,
the panel's chairman, Max Baucus (D-MT), who
spent the summer pursuing blue-sky dreams of bipartisanship,
has suddenly turned tough, ruling the sessions
so firmly that Republicans have resorted to shouting at him.
Just because things have started off well for
progressives, though, doesn't mean they'll stay that way.
As the healthcare reforms move through Congress,
some of the most contentious fights are likely to be intramural
battles among Democrats trying to figure out
how expensive the legislation should be, how to pay for it and how
generously the federal government should subsidize
insurance for people who can't afford it at market rates.
And, oh yes, there's the little matter of the
public option.
It has become obvious that our former beloved
historical figures were damned socialists.
The concept of insurance was something Ben Franklin
started. Helping others - such as healing
the sick and feeding them was what that other
left wing loonie, Jesus, is noted for.
Why don't we understand that profit is the only
thing in life that matters?
We go to our socialist schools and churches to
learn about and praise Profit, our only real god.
Regulating clean air and water and even having
a police and fire dept are radical left wing ideas
that have no place in the land we stole for Profit.
I'm sick of the insane right wing idiots, Bart.
Ben and Jesus, if he existed, would also be outraged.
Whatever happened to caring for others?
How do charities escape the liberal -socialist
label?
For now though, when we get sick, we can go to
our legislators offices, as it is they who are
holding us hostage for the Profit God and his
evil son, Greed (or is his name Extortion?)
that the insurance companies worship.

Your Bartship, it amazes me that a foreign journalist
employed by the BBC was permitted to run
a ten plus year investigation into President
Kennedy's assassination, yet the U.S. "government" held
a sideshow for some weeks and came up with a
"magic bullet" and a lone shooter!
A book entitled "Contract on America"(if the title
sounds familiar, it's because the Lizard(Newt) stole it
and corrupted it into contract with America)
is the result of the BBC reporter's investigation.
The investigation found that the killers were
several "high risk" contract shooters allegedly hired and paid
by underworld figures from the Isle of Corsica.
The contact was allegedly made by high ranking U.S.
organized crime figures. There is even a photograph
of one of the alleged assassins in the book.
It was allowed to be printed because the man was
killed by Mexican Federal Police while allegedly
on another high risk task in Mexico. The "Arts
& Entertainment" channel decided to look into the author's
investigation and produced a multi-episode event
re the Kennedy assassination based on the book.
A & E somehow was permitted to name names
and show figures from the Corsican Mafia including
one of the leaders allegedly involved in arranging
the hiring of the shooters.
It was really fascinating stuff!

Yeah, America shies away from investigating the
murder of a president or 9-11 or Bush's illegal wars
but if you are suspected of sex with an intern,
they stop the world and investigate "because
we have a right to know."

We still don't know who killed Bobby.
We still don't know who killed MLK.
We still don't know the Bush bastards role in 9-11
but with Clinton's zipper, it was everybody's business.
Excerpt: Despite being in the minority in Congress, Republican
campaign committees outraised Democrats by $1.7 million
in August as they have aggressively collected
political cash amid the rancorous debate over health care. Republicans
also
held an edge over Democrats in the amount of
money available, when counting debts, as both parties set the stage for
the 2010 elections, in which more than three
dozen competitive House and Senate seats are at stake.
The GOP spike is a departure. In each of the past
four years, the party in power raised more than the minority's
fundraising committees in August, a USA TODAY
review of campaign records shows.
"Republicans have been able to tap into some of
the anger against Democrats in power and translate that into fundraising,"
said Nathan Gonzales of The Rothenberg Political
Report. "There are a lot of Republicans who wish the election were
this November, not November 2010, because they
feel like the momentum is on their side now."

While we all may differ about what Glenn Beck
says, do we really extol in what has happened to his family?
I don't - why would you think I did?
Someone has found joy in the despair that this
family has endured? Isn't that a little extremist?
Should it even be discussed? It's totally irrelevant.
I can't say what's inside Tony's mind, but my
conscience is clear.
Beck is an unstable prick and maybe his family
history is a cause.
Is it wrong to wonder why he's such an unstable
prick?
There are a lot of people that I disagree with,
but I don't hope that their families die.
I agree - in 2402 issues have I ever said I wanted
a Rethug's family to die?
And you seem to condone that sort of behavior.
I find it rather appalling.
I find it odd that you'd think that of me.
I thought we were better than that.

Excerpt: The rumor has gotten enough traction that the
professional media website Mediaite.com has written about the hoax.
Mediaite claims that some of the people behind
the hoax may be from a group that previously virally attacked the
Church of Scientology and was once responsible
for “flooding YouTube with porn.”
The attack on Beck has worked well enough that
the top two Google searches under “Glenn Beck” so far today are “Glenn Beck murder” and “Glenn Beck rapist.”
Sites like Fark.com and YouTube have been flooded with
attacks on Beck. All have implied Beck is a rapist
and a murderer.
One online poll indicated that 84% of 13,000
voters believe “Glenn Beck raped and murdered a young girl in 1990.”
I’m not surprised about Glenn Beck being a rapist.
Reports suggest that Glenn Beck may have raped
and murdered a little blonde girl - somebody's
beautiful, innocent daughter - in 1990, seem
plausible on it’s face. I can't even begin to imagine what
that depraved bastard might have done to her.
But so far Glenn Beck has been silent on the issue.
When will he face these allegations? What is
he scared of?
The main stream media refuse to investigate.
Nancy Grace "investigates" every murder / kidnaping
like it's the story of the century, yet she overlooks
the fact that Glenn Beck raped and killed a little
girl in the 90s? How can she call herself a journalist?
They're trying to distract us from justice.
Call your Congressman and let him/her know that
murdering innocent little girls is wrong.

Excerpt: American bullet-makers are working around the
clock, seven days a week, and still can't keep up with the demand.
Shooting ranges, gun dealers and bullet manufacturers
say they have never seen such shortages. Bullets, especially for handguns,
have been scarce for months because gun enthusiasts
are stocking up on ammo, in part because they fear Obama will pass
antigun legislation - even though nothing specific
has been proposed and the president last month signed a law allowing people
to carry loaded guns in national parks...
"We are working overtime and still can't keep
up with the demand," said Al Russo, spokesman for Remington Arms,
which makes bullets for rifles, handguns and
shotguns. "We've had to add a fourth shift and go 24-7. It's a phenomenon
that I have not seen before in my 30 years in
the business."
Americans usually buy about 7 billion rounds
of ammunition a year, according to the NRA.
In the past year, that figure has jumped to about
9 billion rounds, said NRA spokeswoman Vickie Cieplak."
I’m only 22 minutes into BCR 158 and I’m loving

These Tbaggers are frothing at the mouth about
basically the same things that Bush had when he was in there.
We still have our precious wars and bad economy.
The only difference is Obama is trying to help the people
in their fight against the greed of the insurance
industry. That leaves one reason why this same bunch didn’t
rise up against W…nigga in the white house.
That’s why none of them can articulate a reasonable
argument as why they’re so pissed.

Excerpt: Watching Katie Couric's highly hyped 44-minute
Webcast sit-down with Glenn Beck,
I was more amazed by what she accepted from him.
"-- Beck says he's an equal-opportunity offender;
he slams both the right and the left. But watch one
of his shows nowadays, and you won't hear much
criticism of Republicans. Couric didn't challenge his assertion.
"-- Beck says it's important to note that Osama
bin Laden praised Jimmy Carter's statements about racism among
Obama critics Obama. Couric didn't note that
bin Laden delights in pushing America's buttons by remote -- why
should we pay attention to anything he says or
take it at face value?
"-- Beck says 'in my real life, I don't want to
do this (obsess over politics) . . .politics is sucking up our lives.'
But politics has made him a very rich man with
a highly rated TV show and radio program. Is he serious?
Politics has made his fortune and career . .
. (Note: Beck gets $2M a year to
play crazy on TV.)
"Couric pressed Beck on what he meant by white
culture when he said Obama hates white people.
His answer to her: 'I can't think of a way
to answer that that isn't a trap.' But isn't it a trap of his own making?"
Perky has no business interviewing somebody who wasn't on American
