Excerpt: We didn't win the public option campaign was
because a few Senators lied to us.
Back on May 21st, there were only 28 Senators
in support of a triggerless public option.
Through your tireless participation in a whip
count effort, by October 8th we raised that number
to 51 when Jon Tester came out in support.
By October 30th, when Evan Bayh said he wouldn't
filibuster, we were up to 56 Democrats for cloture
on health care reform with a public option.
From that point, the only four Senators we still
needed all lied to us in one form or another.
Both Mary Landrieu and Blanche Lincoln signed
a document stating that they supported a public option,
only to reverse their positions. Blanche
Lincoln's website still comically claimed she supported a
public option even as she was declaring her opposition
to one on the Senate floor.
The liars should be punsihed, but we don't punish the backstabbers in
our party.
That wouldn't be nice, and Democrats are all about being nice..
Why so few new updates anymore-same old same old-lucky

Quotes
"I don't know that there's a senator that doesn't
have something in this (HC) bill that isn't important to them. If they don't have something in it
important to them then it doesn't speak well of them."

Subject: Chris the Screamer and
Unka Dick Cheeeeeney
I saw the show when it first happened. It was
about a month ago.
He started pronouncing it that way and then told
a guest the reason for doing so
was that he just found out that's the way it's
actually supposed to be pronounced.
He also stated that he will be saying like that
from now on because it's the correct way.
I'm guessing he's right since he made such a
big deal out of it.
Hope this helps.
Tom
Tom, you did good, but Matthews is an idiot.
He can't decide how Cheney pronounces his own damn name.
Subject: Chris the Screamer and
Cheeeney
In an interview several years ago, as well as
on his show once some time ago,
Lynn (Stepford) Cheney told him that the way
the family pronounced it for years
(according to old grandpa) was "Cheeney".
After he came to Washington, the elites
who are so well educated started calling him
"Chaney", and it stuck.

Seems like for 50 years I've heard Andy Williams sing,
"It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"
and I liked it.
But then this year we find out that Andy Williams is a birther-crazy
religio-handjob.
Yeah, he said Obama was a Muslim fraud, out to destroy America, something
like that.
Why would an entertainer say something so false and so stupid?
When Natalie Raines of the Dixie Chicks said "I'm
ashamed of Bush,"that was a fact. Nobody on the planet can say Natalie Maines lied when
she said she was ashamed that
America's president caused the deaths of thousands (some say a million)
innocent people.
But Andy Williams is totally lying when he says Obama
is a destroy-America Muslim.
So, after 50 years of "I like the guy," now it's become "Fuck you, Andy Willams, teabagging birther whore."
Aim for March. By April, the snow gets dicey.
If you're lucky, you'll snag March just after
the rates drop but with a good snowfall to boot.
What about the week after Spring Break?
Or maybe the first week after the prime Winter
rates drop?
Only problem is all the damn families up for Spring
Break.
Last I was in Breckenridge, it was March, but
everyone was from OK or Dallas or something.
Hanging out in the hot tub was still a rush,
and if God's flowers were part of the deal, I'l probably never had made
the flight home.
You can go for April; I know you're a bettin'
man, but these aren't the best odds.
Pretty soon you can saddle up for skiing in Argentina
instead.

He signed Gramm, Leach Blilley into law.
He signed NAFTA into law.
He got rid of welfare as we know it not for corporate
America, but for poor, struggling people.
He let sanctions continue to slaughter hundreds
of thousand of Iraqi children during his two terms.
He rushed back to Arkansas to watch Ricky Rector
be put to death.
He was watched like a hawk by the right wing
crazies yet he had sex with "that woman" which got
him impeached and destroyed what was left of
his presidency.
He was so weakened he could barely campaign for
that wimp Al Gore and the rest
is the sad, pathetic history of the last decade.
If he would have stood up to the lunatics who
beat him up for nominating Kimba Wood
and not caving he might have shown them that
he had a spine...but n-o-o-o-o!
He's a Dem and a wimp.
Hillary has much more testosterone than he ever

You're missing the point.
Until you can point to a more successsful modern Democrat, he's the
best.
You want a president who does everything the way you'd do it.
That's not going to happen.
A Blackwater official told the Commission on Wartime
Contracting Friday that the company has contracts
for security as well as for training Afghan police
and a "drug interdiction unit." They are also in the running for
more work in Afghanistan. The comments of Blackwater
President Fred Roitz were first reported by the Virginia Pilot...
Now, the Pilot reports on the potentially expanding
role Blackwater will play for the DoD in Afghanistan:
Blackwater is also is one of five pre-qualified
companies competing for a new DoD contract to train Afghan police.
> What's wrong with two former presidents not
being openly hostile to each other?
Were you kidding when you said it was OK for Clinton
to be act like buds with the leader of the BFEE?
GB is the scummiest of scum, the lead psychopath
of a large family and group of international psychopaths!
Clinton shouldn't allow himself to be seen on
the same CONTINENT with these dark creatures!
I'd rather have the dead come to life and chase
me down to eat my brains than to allow the world
to consider me anything close to friends of these
monsters.
The Bushies are actually as close to Nazis as
we have seen anytime before or since Hitler,
and I believe they were actually a part of the
NAZI crime and that war as well.
And it's OK for decent men to chum with them
like buds???
I hope you regain your mental balance long enough
to have a nice Christmas!

"Former presidents" is probably the smallest, most exclusive club in
the world.
They have four members, and you think they should be more hostile to
each other?
If Clinton wants to say, "Wassup my nigga?"
to Poppy Bush, what's the harm?
"I worry that a lot of the (HC) reforms won't
go into effect for five years. A lot of it, it turns out, isn't just because big reforms take a long
time to enact but largely because the delay is helping keep the cost down within Obama's promise of a
deficit neutral bill. That strikes me as a potentially disastrous tradeoff since that will leave
Dems running in 2010 and 2012 on reform legislation that hardly anyone's got any benefit from." -- Josh Marshall, Link
Is there a way to place bets on the Democrats screwing things
up?
It's more certain than death and taxes - why does our side bungle
things so constantly?
And if you have shit insurance or no insurance now,
what good is it knowing in the coming years things might get
better?
All it takes is another sleepy, bungled Demo campaign and President
Palin will erase every gain
we've made, gains that never went into effect because Obama said,
"Let's wait five years to begin."

Quotes
"To every Democrat who created and now defends
this monster of a bill, 'you are an idiot.' You blew the best chance we’ve had in decades,
you protected the abusive industries instead of their victims, and by enriching the corrupters,
you’ve made it harder to fix this mess in the future. You betrayed those who put you in office.
If you don’t fix this, we will watch/help you lose next November and again in 2012. Trust us. -- scarecrow,

This is 100% Obama's fault.
He has failed to lead, A, then he went on vacation in August, B,
which allowed this year's Swiftboaters to turn the nation against
the Democratic agenda, and C,
turning his administration over to the likes of Glenn Beck, Kissyface
and Max Baucus.
I may have to stop saying, "Obama is a smart man."
Excerpt: Oklahomans who believe in a little thing called
the "right to privacy" can breathe a big sigh of relief, for now.
Late Friday, a judge extended a temporary restraining
order against a bill that would publish online extensive
details about women's abortions. Now, enforcement
of the law will be set aside until a February 19 hearing on
its constitutionality, thanks to a lawsuit by
the Center for Reproductive Rights. In a press release, staff attorney
Jennifer Mondino said the organization is "very
pleased with today’s ruling" because "women in Oklahoma
should not have to jump through hoops to access
legal medical care."
The loathsome law, which we've written about before,
requires women to fill out a highly personal 10-page
questionnaire before they terminate a pregnancy.
In particular, the cross-examination focuses on the reason
for the woman's decision to have an abortion.
Due to my current financial circumstances, there's
no way I should be thinking about such a risky financial venture.
Except I remember that a pokerfest (even if you're

Excerpt: If Obama was a liberal he would have embraced
mandates from the beginning, understanding that they go
with the public option, which is the only way
to offer choice to people while cutting costs. He didn't.
If Harry Reid was a liberal we'd have a better
bill, because he wouldn't have played Let's Make a Deal host,
with the biggest winner the insurance companies.
If Speaker Pelosi was a liberal she wouldn't have invited
religious leaders into the room to craft language
that takes rights away from women we won through the law decades ago...
If we had a liberal in the White House who understood
the middle class at all, maybe we wouldn't be giving the
insurance companies a guaranteed new group of
customers without any choice at all. If we had a liberal Congress,
they would surely know that once the insurance
monopolies have their new Fish Meet Barrel customers there
really is no incentive for them to do anything
for them.
You can't shoot for greatness if you won't use
all of your powers.
Excerpt: Our small tea bag group here in Waycross, we
got our vigil together and took Dr. Coburn's instructions and prayed
real hard that Sen. Byrd would either die or
couldn't show up at the vote the other night," the C-Span caller said.
"How hard did you pray because I see one of our
members was missing this morning. Did it backfire on us?
One of our members died? How hard did you pray
senator? Did you pray hard enough?" he continued, his voice breaking.
