has never ever, even remotely had any common
cause with progressivism or with progressives...
Dean, of course, is a progressive. The Obama
White House also recognizes that Dean could be a political threat.
If Dean wants to, he could primary Obama in 2012.
He'd have lots of advantages. Dean has national
name recognition. He can crank up a campaign quickly and attract
the best people. He's a Washington, D.C. outsider
since Obama-Rahm did him the favor of not letting him in on their gig.
He has the backing of most progressives and liberals,
the very people who worked hard to win the White House for Obama.
Is Obama trying to be a one-termer?
They say being president is one of the worst jobs in the world.
But being an ex-president is one of the greatest jobs in the world.
Is Obama auditioning for the world's greatest job?

GOP Chairman Michael Tom Steele thinks Republicans
have "screwed up" for the most part since Reagan.
And, he says Rethugs won't win back the House
in fall elections and might not be ready to lead even if they do.
That forecast of failure sparked a pushback Tuesday at the GOP and delight the Democrats.
Winning back the House would be difficult for
Republicans, who are in a 256-178 minority with one vacancy.
Steele's book, "Why I Hate Being Black," offers
his blueprint for the party's resurgence.
Asked Monday by handjob Hannity if Republicans
can regain the House, Steele said, "Not this year."
He added: "I don't know yet, because I don't
know all the candidates yet. We still have some vacancies
that need to get filled, but then the question
we need to ask ourselves is, if we do that, are we ready?"
Steele said: "Our candidates have to be anchored
in these principles ... because if they don't,
they'll get to Washington, and they'll get drunk
with power and throw the steps out the window."

I agree that Iran would be a major threat if it
had nukes.
I'm just not sure a blockade would be the answer.

You mean there's a chance I'm not Dick Cheney?
US Customs, as far as Iranian imports go, has sanctioned Iran for years.
It would be my guess we've asked our allies to deal less with them - that hasn't worked.
The only things that can be legally imported from
Iran are carpets, pistaccio nuts, and some other damn thing.
In fact, wealthy Iranians here import carpets
to get their money out.
So, we could stop that, but what will happen
when a ship of a country that does business with Iran gets stopped by our
ships?
Like a lot of "debates" we have, we never got
to explore the idea because most people chose to attack.
We never had the torture debate, either, because
of all the knee-jerking.
We stopped doing live debates because a majority
of responders agreed with
some guy who said there was no difference
between our soldiers and al Qaeda.
Why do liberals often argue with their jerking
knees?
Why can't our side debate instead of scream insults
at our friends?
Why can't we have adult debates on these subjects?
I don't know much about war or blockades, I was
just floating an idea.
At first glance, I'd say let the rugs and nuts
go thru but not the giant oil tankers.
If we disrupted their oil shipments by 1/3, that
would cripple them financially.
Also, Russia has been doing business with them
for years, and we couldn't close that border.
Stopping their access to materials is a good
idea, I just don't know if it is feasible.
We might just have to rely on our new heavy duty
bombs on their nuke facilities.
That's what I'm trying to avoid, but yes, it might
come to that.

despoiling the environment, and an attack on the war in Iraq.... The conclusion
does ask the audience to root for the defeat
of American soldiers at the hands of an insurgency. So it is a deep expression
of anti-Americanism -- kind of.

That's why 35 million Americans have paid to see it in three weeks
- in Bush's horrible recession, no less - because it's anti-American?
When Mel Gibson was raking in all that socialized church money with
his boody mess of a film,
you guys said it was "the marketplace at work,"
but this much-bigger movie hates America?

Watching CNN "American Whore Morning" Wednesday,
they're making a BIG DEAL
out of the allegation that the AARP has
lost 150,000
members over health care.
The bastards got a swirling, fiery graphic that
spelled out 150,000
and they want you to think that's one goddamn
big-ass number.
"People are angry about this health care bill," John Roberts whined.
So I did some checking (seriously) and it turns out AARP has 35,000,000 members.
Then, to pretend to cover their ass, as they were
closing out the story, after your heard
the shocking headlines and went on about
your day, the sons of bitches said,
"Actually, AARP has GAINED two million members."
You lying, crooked whores!
CNN is in the business of lying to their viewers?
After screaming about the tremendous
losses AARP had suffered,
after showing some angry tea-bagging handjobs
screaming at the TV cameras,
after giving out the false impression,
after the story has done the damage,
after making a BIG DEAL out of the "serious
loosses" AARP has suffered,
you admitted in closing that AARP
is up 1300% in new members
compared to the "hit" they took from the anti-science,
tea-bagging handjobs.
Why scream

The Tea Party crowd is unlikely to actually become
