Quote of
the Day
"Our families shouldn’t be used as targets to get at people in politics." -- Karl Rove, who said Mrs McCain was a druggie
and 'Where
did McCain's Black baby come from?" in the 2000 GOP primaries,
killing McCain's chances
with the much-needed racist-redneck
voters, Link
"I didn't really had a good answer, as so often
-- is me. (What language is that?)
But then somebody sent me the other day, Isaiah 49:16,
and you need to go home and look it up. Before you look it up, I'll tell you what it says though.
It says, hey, if it was good enough for God, scribbling on the palm of his hand, it's good enough for me,
for us. He says, in that passage, 'I wrote your name on the palm of my hand to remember you,' and I'm like,
'Okay, I'm in good company.'" -- Sarah Palin, comparing herself to God, saying
both of them are brainless clods who need reminders,

Excerpt: Who would have thought that one of Obama’s biggest
missteps as president would be repeating some of
the bad habits of George W. Bush? No single factor
was more instrumental in Obama’s 2008 victory than
his pledge to completely reverse the nation’s
course once in the White House.
Whoa, back the truck up.
I'd say the media helping him was a bigger fractor
than any pledge he took.
And the economic crash in October is what sealed
the deal for victory.
Instead, over the past year, Obama has mimicked
some of Bush’s most egregious blunders,
leading to much of the political predicament
in which the present decider finds himself today.
Other blunders:
No Chief
Economic Spokesperson.
Failure
to Integrate Policy, Politics and Communication
Tying
his Fate to His Party's Congressional Leadership.
The good news for Obama is that each one of these
errors is fixable...
People keep saying that, but Obama continues to fail to change his off-the-cliff
course.
Sure he can turns things around - but when's he going to start?
If I was Robert Parry I could just read Clinton's mind and tell you.
Since I don't have Parry's powers, I can only guess, which I did, yesterday.
I never said Clinton was perfect.
I said he was our only double winner since FDR and many Democrats
hate his guts and most can't even say why, which is teabagger-ish
Excerpt: On Friday, a federal judge refused to dismiss
a civil lawsuit accusing Donald Rumsfeld of responsibility
for the alleged torture by U.S.
forces of two Americans who worked for an Iraqi contracting firm.
U.S. District Judge Wayne Andersen's ruling did
not say the two contractors had proven their claims,
including that they were tortured after reporting
alleged illegal activities by their company. But it did say
they had alleged enough specific mistreatment
to warrant hearing evidence of exactly what happened.
Andersen said his decision "represents a recognition
that federal officials may not strip citizens of well settled
constitutional protections against mistreatment
simply because they are located in a tumultuous foreign setting."
Andersen did throw out two of the lawsuit's three
counts but gave the torturees the green light to go forward
with a third count alleging they were unconstitutionally
tortured under procedures personally approved by Rumsfeld..
Are they going to have Rummy's deposition under oath and on TV like
they did Clinton?
Oh, that's right - this isn't about sex so we have no right to know
the truth.
Just checking in on the plans. Haven't seen any
updates lately.
Getting in Monday and hope to get a chance to
have a couple of shots of Chinaco!
Please keep me in the loop. Thanks.
Bernie
Bernie, I hope you got my e-mail update.
Looking forward to meeting the
fella who did this. (90 second, G-rated audio clip)
Excerpt: K Roy Ashburn, the California state senator pulled
over last week on DUI charges after leaving a gay bar, sets the record
gay: he's family.
Ashburn has acknowledged he is gay, saying the
public deserved to know what happened that night when he was pulled over.
But one thing he's not flinching on: his voting
record. While voting to affirm Prop 8 and refuse to recognize
gay marriages from outside the state, Ashburn says he was only voting
the will of his constituents. Which is the most
reasonable excuse he has — but it's still not a rationalization. Because
voting for
discrimination (or against its removal) is never
okay, no matter what you think voters believe.
This is, however, a very curious situation. Other
anti-gay lawmakers exposed as gay have continued to deny they are anything
but straight (see: Larry Craig), which allows
them to, hilariously, stand by their anti-gay voting record. But here we
have a
state senator saying very clearly that he's one
of us, and yet he voted against his own people.
Why can't the closeted Rethugs just leave the
issue alone?
The queerest dues are always the ones who denounce
gays the loudest.
Excerpt: Sarah Palin (R-Publicity Whore) who has gone
to great lengths to hype the supposed dangers of a
big government takeover of American health care
-- admitted over the weekend that she used to get
her treatment in Canada's single-payer system.
"We used to hustle over the border for health
care we received in Canada," Palin said in her first
Canadian appearance since stepping down as governor
of Alaska. "Isn't that ironic?"
The irony, one guesses, is that Palin now views
Canada's health care system as revolting: with its
government-run administration and 'death-panel'-like
rationing. Clearly, however, she and her family
once found it more alluring than, at the very
least, the coverage available in rural Alaska
I guess there was no room to write,
"America has the best health care system
in the whole world," on the palm of her hand
"Oh no! Look at the blue skyscraper that insures everybody! Oh, no!!"
If only the Democrats would list the facts.
The teabaggers are insane with rage over Obama's blue
ink
but they have NO PROBLEM with Bush's red
ink.
Bush gave billions to the super rich, and teabaggers love that.
Obama wants to save your family health care costs
and those racist teabaggers hate him for it.

"I am disheartened with the lack of audacity
of the Obama Administration. I am sickened by the Democrats in Congress who vote against
their constituents’ wishes. Yes, the Dems are probably better than the GOP, but not by much.
At least I could complain about the GOP while they were in power. But with the Dems having 59
votes in the Senate, who do I complain to now?" -- JoeBeets, who has
a point, Link
Aren't Democrats proving they can't govern?
The best commercial the GOP has to run
against Democrats this year is their pitiful record.
Excerpt: ABC felt they could pull a fast one on the audience
and used some B-roll in the report showing
the tachometer needle sweeping rapidly from near
idle to over 6,000 rpm. That clip was injected at
the precise moment when David Gilbert triggered
his simulated sudden acceleration. As you can see
from the screen cap above, the shot of the tachometer
shows the warning lights for the parking brake on,
the doors open and the transmission indicator
in park.

It's another runaway Toyota, in park, with the doors wide open.
America's whore media has chosen to bring down Toyota.
"Obama has yet to take any interest in leadership
at all -- and on his own policy agenda items, such as ObamaCare. All he ever
does is give speeches. From the first days of his presidency, Obama has abdicated that role to Nancy
Pelosi, and a year later, still hasn't demanded it back." -- Ed Morrisey, wishing Obama would come to work,

"I have become an adjective. There is something
called a Rovian-style of campaigning and it’s meant as an insult. One columnist said
it consists mainly of throwing mud until it sticks. One blogger described a textbook Rovian
race as fear-based, smear-based and anything goes." -- Karl Rove, just now realizing what he's become,

Excerpt: According to his new memoir, a 9-year-old Rove
affixed a Nixon sticker to his bicycle,
prompting a leftist girl to give him a bloody
nose. We must find this girl and make her into a folk hero.
Fascinating that Rove connects his political bloodlust
to this event, in the manner of a Freudian analyst
picking apart a grown man's first sexual experience.
Because in the same Deseret article, Rove explains how
he became president of his high school class:
He recruited "an incredibly attractive senior girl" to chair his campaign
and "made my entrance into the auditorium in
a Volkswagen Bug filled with incredibly attractive girls. Two girls on
each arm delivered me to the podium." Is it possible
that a generation of dirty GOP tactics and George W. Bush's
entire catastrophic career are all compensation
for The Little Girl Who Got Away?...
The little girl knew not what she did, that her
fists would launch a thousand campaigns and a war in Iraq.
All she knew was that Karl Rove was a snot-nosed
punk and she could take him down with one hand tied
behind her pigtails. And for that, we salute
her.
Rove was always a little punk but he was never challenged.
I don't know much about Texas politics, but McCain failed to challenge
Rove in 2000,
then Gore went to sleep in the general election and Kerry slept thru
2004.
"Yes because what we have now is basically
a Republican health care bill, if it gets through. He's a nice person, but he couldn't
sell watermelons if you gave him state troopers to flag down traffic." -- Dan Rather, asked if Obamacare will become law,

Excerpt: According to a recently discovered Durham County
Police report, Glenn Beck raped a woman in 1990. Calm down!!
Chances are the suspect in the case is just someone
who shares the same name as the FoxNews show host.
Despite the great likelihood of this being a simple
mix up of names - there are some eerie coincidences.
For starters, the crime remains unsolved.
During the manhunt reports were leaked stating that the rapist,
not the victim, cried throughout the encounter.
This led to the local Durham media giving the wanted
suspect the nickname – “Crying Rapist.”
Excerpt: Virginia's gay-bashing Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli
II has urged the state's public colleges and universities
to rescind policies that ban discrimination on
the basis of sexual orientation, arguing in a letter sent to each school
that their boards of visitors had no legal authority
to adopt such statements.
In his most aggressive initiative on conservative
social issues since taking office in January, Cuccinelli (R-Pig) wrote
in
the letter sent Thursday that only the General
Assembly can extend legal protections to gay state employees, students
and others -- a move the legislature has repeatedly
declined to take as recently as this week...
"It is my advice that the law and public policy
of the Commonwealth of Virginia prohibit a college or university from
including 'sexual orientation,' 'gender identity,'
'gender expression,' or like classification as a protected class within
its
non-discrimination policy absent specific authorization
from the General Assembly," he wrote in the letter.
Colleges that have included such language in policies
that govern university hiring and admissions -- which include all
of Virginia's largest schools -- have done so
"without proper authority" and should "take appropriate actions to bring
their policies in conformance with the law and
public policy of Virginia," Cuccinelli wrote.
Wouldn't Thomas Jefferson be proud that his home
state, in 2010, was turning into the Salem witch hunts of 1692?
"The teabaggers and Michael Moore are both angry about the same thing." --
Arianna
Uh, no. Michael Moore isn't upset that the
president is BLACK. He doesn't want to see Obama's birth certificate.
He doesn't think Obama is a communist, a socialist,
a fascist, the Joker, the Antichrist, or a Kenyan. He doesn't
believe that Obama's singular goal in life is
to kill as many unborn babies as he possibly can, or to let the 'terrorist'
win.
Michael Moore doesn't empathize with the guy who
flew a plane into to a building to bag an IRS agent. He didn't go
out
and buy a closet full of guns ahead of Obama's
confiscation edict. He doesn't believe that concentration camps are
being
erected out--as we speak-- to detain all conservatives.
He doesn't claim that ALL taxes are EVIL.
Arianna, you ignorant slut!
(I'm sure he means that in a funny, SNL kind of
way)
This is what you get when Celeb Libs smooze in

Excerpt: Advocates of legal services for the poor are
up in arms over the nomination of Sharon Browne to the board
of directors of the Legal Services Corporation,
the federal agency that oversees federal aid to such programs
A Senate panel will likely approve the Republican-chosen
nominee on Wednesday as part of a package that
includes five other nominees supported by Democrats.
Outside groups say Democrats are unwilling to try to
separate Browne from the package for an up-or-down
vote.
Citing her track record as a principal at the
conservative Pacific Legal Foundation, Browne's critics say she's
unfit for the job because she has directly opposed
funding for legal services agencies.
"Ms. Browne should not be placed in a position
to help determine the future of legal services for poor Americans,"
says a letter sent by the Alliance for Justice,
a coalition of liberal groups, to members of the Senate committee that
will vote on Browne's nomination Wednesday. The
letter was signed by more than 70 fair-housing and civil rights advocates.
"She and the Pacific Legal Foundation ("PLF"),
her employer, have engaged in litigation aimed at defunding
those very services and legal efforts opposing
the principle of equal justice -- the core of LSC's mission. "
And the American Bar Association says Browne is
not qualified for the job.
Anyone else tired of the GOP having the veto power over every appointment
Obama makes
and every hire Obama makes, but the Democrats are always powerless
when the reverse happens?
Hell, f-ing Glenn Beck has veto power over Obama's hires
but we're forced to accept a Hitlerette when we control everything?
Here's a quote from our good friend Sarah Failin
Palin from her visit to Ohio
(ashamed of my state...we have Boehner to repent
for) about some Right to Life speech crap.
"What I scribbled on the palm of my hand tonight
too -- it was the dollar sign, and I'm -- we're going to talk about the practical needs too for this
cause, and this will remind me to -- because I didn't write it in my speech, I have to ad lib that part, so
to remind me," she said.
WHAT THE HELL IS SHE SAYING????
I'll give you a million dollars if you can decipher
that shit!!
Your fan,
Diane
p.s. The latest explanation as to why Failin
Palin had to write her core beliefs in her hands
to
remind her of them is quoted in the article below. She says it's
because God use to
write
notes in His hands, too; so she does it. Seriously....you
can't make this crap up.

"If the Democratic party is going to sell out

I have an idea - let's burn down the GOP house first.
Excerpt: Lower levels of oxygen in the Earth's oceans,
particularly off our Pacific Northwest coast,
could be another sign of fundamental changes
linked to global climate change, scientists say.
They warn that the oceans' complex undersea ecosystems
and fragile food chains could be disrupted.
In some spots off Washington state and Oregon
, the almost complete absence of oxygen has left piles
of Dungeness crab carcasses littering the ocean
floor, killed off 25-year-old sea stars, crippled colonies
of sea anemones and produced mats of potentially
noxious bacteria that thrive in such conditions.
Areas low oxygen, have long existed in the deep
ocean but these areas appear to be spreading,
covering more square miles, creeping toward the
surface and in some places, such as the Pacific Northwest,
encroaching on the continental shelf within sight
of the coastline.
"The depletion of oxygen levels in all three oceans
is striking," said Gregory Johnson , a pointy-headed
elisist oceanographer with the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration in Seattle .
