"The fact that the Left believes that the preponderance
of whites among tea partiers invalidates the tea party movement tells us much
more about the Left than it does about the tea partiers. It confirms that the Left really does
see the world through the prism of race, gender and class rather than through the moral prism
of right and wrong." -- Dennis Prager, angry that we noticed

Butt Trog, what is the "proper" way to handle a gay person
who wants to serve his country?
A severe beating?
Castration? (Wouldn't it be thrilling to grab the gay
man's cock?)
Murder?
It's hard to believe this is 2010 and still the GOP hates Blacks,
gays, the poor etc.
Too bad thre Dems don't have half-a-sac between them.
We should've stomped the bigoted GOP out of existence decades
ago.
But ...Democrats refuse to join the fight.

surrender monkeys.

Bart, we're proud to be Democrats..."

Butt Trog, are you confessing to murder?
Besides, you're sharing showers with gays now IF you're in the
military.
Instead of knowing who's gay and showering at a different time,
why do you choose the thrill of the gamble, the way it is now?
Here's the truth. Those who scream the loudest about tha gays are the most queer.

Quotes
"If these guys were a couple of nazi skinheads,
you could simply shake your head, sigh and know they were just part of a hate-filled,
white-supremacist, bigoted fringe group. But that’s not the case. These two scumbags are part of a mainstream
political party who seek to lead the country once again. It is this which should concern every
thinking American. And Kirkland and Smith are not unique in their conservative, bigoted views.
We’re hearing this crap more and more as each Republican candidate tries to outdo the last in showing
their base how truly conservative they are. Conservatives apparently cannot hate enough or be filled with
too much vitriolic rhetoric if they wish to represent the GOP these days. A truly backwards, stinking political
party." -- Mario Piperni, http://mariopiperni.com/republican-madness/tennessean-dicks.php
Hydro-electric. Skip forgot we got a bunch

The problem with electric cars is the relative
portability of a burnt fuel power versus electric power.
Electric vehicles tend to have a lower operating
radius than fossil fuel trucks. The little trucks puttering around
various campuses including here at the NIH can
be electric. Short haul delivery vans can be electric as well.
Cross country long hauling doesn’t lend itself
to electric power. Investment in trains though might be the answer
here.
I disagree.
Electric cars will go at least 100 miles on a
charge.
Except for the most remote areas of NV, NM, etc
that's not a problem.
Besides, those $2500 batteries will soon cost
just $1,000 - then a long-hauler can buy 2-3 batteries.
The power needed to move useful loads is a lot
different than toy cars so yes you had a point but it did kind of
ignore that aspect. We are getting a lot
better and newer battery technologies are reducing the problem a lot.
More investment will yield more return as batteries
still have reasonable gains that can be made.
My problem with the tax credit approach to solar
powering of houses is that you need to have $15,000 cash
to put up the stuff first. I’d prefer an
approach that helped you afford the stuff now instead of having to wait
til the next year to get the money back.
I want to put solar power on my house in Vegas where it is an ideal
approach but that is a large investment of cash
“NOW” that I never seem to have. Especially for a house
that is under-water on the loan as the vast majority
of houses in Vegas are.

Subject: electric cars
Bart,
Advantages of electric cars, using today's power
sources:
1. Even with all the losses in the electric
grid and electric power generation, even with so much of our electricity
coming from coal rather than cleaner fuels, the
carbon footprint of a purely electric car (like the old EV1) is about
1/3 less than that of an equivalent gasoline-powered
car.
2. Number 1 is improved even more by the
fact that the vast majority of electric cars would not be replaced by
an equivalent car but by one that uses more gas.
For a current (related) example, an equivalent car to the Toyota Prius
would be a Toyota Corolla, at 26 mpg. Due
to its interior room, however, which is larger because it's a hybrid,
purchasers would be more likely to replace a
Prius with a Camry (22 mpg), Venza (21 mpg), or Avalon (20 mpg).
3. The vast majority of fuel that powers
our electric grid is domestic, whether it be coal (48.5%), natural gas
(21.6% -- some imported from Canada), nuclear
(5.8%), or renewable (8.9%). Electric cars improve our energy independence.
4. There are a lot of cars confined to areas
that have pollution traps (consider the mountains surrounding three sides
of L.A. and S.F., for example), while most polluting
power generation stations are located in areas where the pollution disperses.
Thus, the pollution from gasoline-powered automobiles
tends to have a much greater effect than would an equivalent amount of
pollution from a power plant.
So while there is some truth to the claim that
electric cars just shift the pollution location, it's clear that they also
reduce it,
move it to areas where it has lower impact, and
reduce our dependence on imported fuels. What's not to like?

Second, I hate living at a time when the Constitution is "in the
way."

"Well a brown man has been arrested for trying
to blow shit up in a method by which shit could not possibly blow up. There's some British joker on CNN now
talking about how "dangerous" this is that terrorist groups are now able
to recruit people domestically to carry
out actions. Yeah, unlike that Tim McVeigh guy. If the Times Square guy
is any indication, al Qaeda is recruiting
people too dumb to even find FoxNews on a cable-box. So, I guess I'll refrain
from the shitting of the pants, but thanks
cable-news for asking." -- Attaturk,

On 9/11 Jerry Falwell declared that god was punishing
us for abortionists, gays, and feminists.
Muslim clerics have declared that recent earthquakes
is God punishing us for women dressing immodestly.
Pat Robertson said that the Haiti earthquake
was God punishing the Haitians for making a "pact with the Devil".
So I just can't wait to hear what God is punishing
us for now!
As an Atheist I feel like I should be able to
have an opinion as to what God is punishing us for that is based on
our cultural perspective and belief system. So,
speaking in behalf of the Atheist community, the oil spill in the Gulf
is because God is punishing us for not having
a working shutoff valve at the oil well head.

Bart,
That guy wrote that the Caths only care about
children before they are born, and you wrote
<<They also had no problem with Bush's
murders, kidnappings, tortures and invasions, >>
Actually, Pope John Paul II worked hard to talk
Bush out of invading Iraq. When that failed,
JPII called Bush's insistence on war "a defeat
for humanity." The Caths also do a huge amount
of healthcare and charity work around the world.
Always have.
Like you wrote the other day, there are "good
Caths"--and the other kind!
