Weekend TV and Radio
Kathy Griffin was funny as hell on CNN New Years, as I knew she would be.
She made it thru the evening weithoput cursing so I guess she'll be back next year.
Thursday Sirius-XM started The Richard Pryor Channel.
I listened to hours and hours of that and I laughed until my ribs hurt.
I didn't realize how political Richard was.
He did one bit as God coming back to Earth.
"I want to speak to Emmit Till. What do you mean, "He's dead,"
How did he die? You lynched him? Why?
OK then, I want to talk to Bobby - Bobby Kennedy - where is he?
You what? You shot him in the head? Why?
Where's my son, Jesus? You crucified him? You crucified my son!

You pollute the air, you foul the fucking water, you're killing yourselves."
It was powerful stuff.
Then he did Mudbone with the crabs and I thought I was going to f-ing die laughing.

Then there was Howard Stern's 9-11 broadcast - that was spooky.
Hearing shrieks of horror from the farting lesbian-spankers was very odd.
Howard and Robin wanted to "glass" everybody.
So it was a great weekend - until the Cowboys won.
They were behind the entire game - until the last 55 seconds.
I wish they were in the playofffs so I could watch them lose again
but I guess I'll have to wait until September for that.

Subject: arguing with idiots
Bart, I figured something out:
If one has or is getting an education, they are therefore a liberal.
Thus the opposite must be true...if you are uneducated or under-educated you are therefore a conservative.
They can't be expected to learn for that would make them a liberal themselves.
It's not that they can't learn, they simply don't want to, by choice as they say.
It's a political decision for them to remain uninformed for if they became aware of the facts
or bothered to read and learn an issue, they would then be tagged as a "liberal."

This comment is from someone else, but it makes sense to me:

Now we can argue over corporate executive salaries and why or why not they are excessive.
However that is between the shareholders and the executives.
When you pay a CEO of a non-profit that much money,
it comes at the expense of the mission of the organization.

Of course Sarah Palin will be one of GOP candidates. This is all think-tank planned theater
and fun to watch, but Obama will win handily. Who better to champion the programs of
corporate oligarchy than another beleaguered, triangulating, ‘centrist’ Democrat under
constant attack from the right?
Watch President Obama continue to get done for the owners
what the GOP leadership couldn’t complete under Bush.
