Gov. Rick Perry shares many attributes with Der Monkey Fuhrer, George W. Bush.
He has the same straight-legged Texas swagger; the down-home, clipped speaking style; the desert-baked conservatism.
But in recent years, Perry has broken politically with Der Monkey, questioning his credentials as a fiscal conservative,
accusing him of going on “a big-government binge” and playing down some of Bush’s accomplishments in Texas in light of his own.
Perry’s public statements exposed a long-simmering rivalry that had been little known outside the political fraternity here
but underscores the rightward drift of the Republican Party since Der Monkey was president. More acutely, Perry’s criticism
holds potential peril and benefit for him should he decide to mount a presidential campaign, allowing him to establish an identity
distinct from Mr. Bush but risking a guerrilla campaign against him by the former president’s inner circle.
That's what we need - a civil war in Texas amongst the troglodytes.

There was a moment Tuesday, shortly after the verdict was read in the Casey Anthony case, when her
attorney J. Cheney Mason chastised the crazy media whores for participating in "media assassination" for three years.
If only he had mentioned Nancy Grace by name, he could have become a national hero to many TV viewers.
Grace, who was on the air when the verdict was read, embodies everything that's wrong with cable TV.
She's combative, she rarely lets her colleagues get a word in edgewise - especially if they disagree with her
- and all too often the telecast becomes more about her than the subject matter.
Worse, she gives you that now-famous Nancy Grace Guarantee that EVERY defendant is guilty.
She thinks the cops have never made a mistake since they started arresting people in 1776.
Take for example poor Jane Velez Mitchell, Grace's colleague at HLN. Mitchell was at the courthouse
and tried to make a point before being shut down by Grace.
Mitchell gave up.
"You are always right, Nancy," Mitchell said, bowing to the almighty Grace.
It was hard not to feel bad for Mitchell at that moment. And Mitchell is just one of the folks
who get stomped on by TV's version of Godzilla. Grace has the ability to make real life feel like
a bad "Saturday Night Live" skit, and she did that again Tuesday in the run-up to the verdict.

June 10 dispatch from Reuters, “The unemployment rate in Canada fell to the lowest level since January 2009
in May as the number of jobs increased by 22,300, an island of healthy data in a sea of recent figures showing
tepid North American economic growth.
“Statistics Canada reported on Friday that the jobless rate dropped from 7.6 percent in April to 7.4 percent in May,
a number last seen when Canada was falling into recession at the start of 2009.”
Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann celebrated the news with a tweet: “Lesson in economic recovery:
Consider Canada. No stimulus & unemployment is 20% lower than US.”
But Rep. Bachmann misinterprets Canada’s history as thoroughly as she mangles America’s.
Eric Kleefeld of Talking Points Memo wrote, “The absolute fact of the matter is that Canada undertook a thorough
stimulus program under Harper and his Conservatives — one that was relatively smaller than the one here, but given
the apples and oranges situation of having different economic needs, it was still a very considerable one.”
The amount was $40 billion, Canadian. Adjusting for conversion, relative purchasing power, per-capita GDP,
and the much larger population of the United States — we have almost ten times as many people — this was
roughly equivalent to a stimulus of over US $360 billion — less than half the Obama stimulus, but the recession
did not hit Canada as badly as it crippled the U.S.
Obama has never run against someone who gains in the polls every time she makes a big mistake.
I hope his political team is wide awake and ready for the challenges ahead,

The theory of supply-side economics tells us that if you cut taxes on rich people and corporations, the newly
liberated moguls and businessmen will take their windfall and invest it, creating jobs and accelerating the rate
of economic growth. The benefits of a light hand on the upper class, therefore, will "trickle down" to the
working man and woman.
Ever since Ronald Reagan first attempted to make supply-side economics a reality and proceeded to inaugurate
an era of persistent government deficits and growing income inequality, it has become harder and harder to make
the trickle-down argument with a straight face. But we've never seen anything quite like the disaster that's playing
out right now.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday that corporate profits are looking quite strong for the second
quarter of 2011. Even the Journal can't sugarcoat the basic facts:
While the U.S. economy staggers through one of its slowest recoveries since the Great Depression,
American companies are poised to report strong earnings for the second quarter -- exposing a dichotomy
between corporate performance and the overall health of the economy.
But that's just the tip of the nightmare.
That supply-sdie shit never worked becauise the super-rich are greedy.
The truth is, if you give a rich man more money, he COULD hire some people,
but the fact is he won't, as witnessed by today's mountain of unspent cash.
When people are desperate for jobs, nobody asks for a raise - and that's how the super-rich like it.
When Clinton created 24M jobs, people got raises and the super-rich don't like that.

the past three years appears to have been hashing out the gruesome details of Caylee Anthony's death
on a nightly basis, has made no secret of what she thinks happened to the child and who she believes
is responsible – the woman she dismissively refers to as "Tot Mom."
So when a Florida jury delivered a verdict of not guilty on the charges against Casey Anthony of murder,
manslaughter, and child abuse, Nancy Grace was not having any of it. On her show Tuesday, she made it
clear again what she believed should have happened "I absolutely cannot believe Caylee's death has gone
unavenged," she said. "Now I know, it is our duty as American citizens to respect the jury system ....
But I know one thing, as the defense sits by and has their champagne toast after the not guilty verdict,
somewhere out there the devil is dancing tonight."

Nancy Grace drunk on Anthony Trial

Led by super-whore Nancy Grace, the entire cable landscape -- and now the broadcast news
networks -- seem to have gotten drunk on the Casey Anthony trial.
A month ago, most Americans would have said: Casey who?
Yet when a Florida jury announced on Tuesday that the young mother was not guilty,
Julie Chen cried on national television while CBS and ABC speed-raced to air hour-long nightly specials.
Why does this case get such coverage?
Answer: Ratings, ratings, ratings.
Grace's single-minded pursuit of more fame put CNN's Headline News (HLN) in second place
during June, the 29-year-old channel's best ratings month ever. And it also helped the network
challenge Fox News in the coveted adults 25-54 demographic during primetime.
Of course, the bigger cable news outlets noticed HLN's ratings success. As the numbers looked better
and better for HLN, MSNBC, Fox News and even CNN began devoting more and more of their air time to the trial.
By the time Tuesday's verdict was announced, it wasn't just cable news channels covering the trial,
but almost every major media outlet.
I didn't see much of the trial but it looked like a re-run of O.J.
The idiot prosecutors were sooooo in love with the sound of their own voices.
If they could say something in ten words, they used 200 words.
They went over the same material a dozen times, always using more words than last time.
If it takes you 200 words to make a simple point, your point is no longer simple.
I think the jury glazed over from the billion-word offense and decided they didn't want
to hang a woman since they couldn't understand the idiot prosecutors' weird language.
And then, of all people Marcia f-ing Clark (OJ's screw-up) was on TV last night
explaining where the prosecutors went wrong - but nobody asked me :)
Plus, did you hear they used JUNK science trying to hang that woman?
The local cops came up with a vacuum cleaner that could "smell death."
Horseshit like that has never been used in a trial in America,
but the Ft Lauderdale cops had no trouble calling it "science."
Their magic Hoover told them a body was in her trunk, but observers said
that was pure bullshit, that the Hoover might've been smelling old cheese!
And that idiot-whore Grace has been screaming "100% guilty, I guarantee it" for THREE YEARS.
But, like Palin and Bachmann, she still ever more has "credibility" with her millions of fans.
You can be wrong about everything all the time and still get rich in this stupid country.
