Pizzaman Herman Cain may have stolen the hearts of racist Republicans, but Mittens is still considered
the likely GOP presidential nominee and the candidate with the best chance of beating Obama, a new poll shows.
An aura of inevitability appears to have settled around Romney, with 51-percent. Republican-leaning independents
saying they see him as the most likely Republican nominee. Just 18 percent said they expected the nominee to be Cain,
and 14 percent predicted Rick Perry. No other candidate polled in double digits.
The most likeable candidate, however, is Cain — with 34 percent saying they like him most. Romney is a close second,
with 29 percent, followed by Perry at 13 percent. Independents are very fond of Perry, with 44 percent saying he is the
most likeable, and just 29 percent saying Romney is. Among Republicans, the two run neck and neck, with 28 percent each.
If you love Rick Perry, you're not an independent.
Perry is the radical-racist Der-Monkey-Fuhrer clone.
How could any independent like him best?
We don't know who's going to win but we know who won't win - Cain, Gingrich, Bachmann and Man-on-Dog.

Will the Righteous Right survive its inane scrum deciding which defective personality carries forth
its backward-bounding banner? True, the GOP message this season especially blends the vacuous
and vicious, but that's hardly stopped a resurgent national party, awash in money and media, from
securing better hawkers.
Is the rightwing base so dumb not to realize that skewering its own frontrunners helps the vulnerable
president they're dying to depose? And what poll-struck bottom-dwellers, from Romney to Trump to
Bachmann to Perry to Cain. Why, if there were a bold, imaginative opposition party, I bet it could
leverage such idiots spouting, well, idiocy. Dream on.
So where do you think this train wreck will end up?
Conventional wisdom says it's "Romney's turn," but he's got the wrong religion.
Last time it was "McCain's turn" and he had to become religiously insane
to get the nomination and Mittens doesn't have that option.

In his unrelenting quest to kill legal medical marijuana, Obama appears content to incur collateral damage.
Last week, property owners who rent to dispensaries were informed that the federal government could
seize their properties within 45 days; this week, one of the four United States attorneys who declared
open season on anything connected to state-legal cannabis told California Watch that the fourth estate
is next. Specifically, the administration says any publication -- from print to web to broadcasting
-- that accepts advertisements from medical marijuana businesses could face prosecution.

You're going to shut down newspapers that advertise legal-in-California products?
What part of "shutting down newspapers" is OK with you?
They say you're a Constitutional scholar - is that true?
In other words, Obama will screw California alt-weeklies, some of which rely on medical marijuana ads
for 25 to 30 percent of advertising revenue, sources say. But in this move, legal and media experts
contacted by SF Weekly say that the government has a First Amendment issue on its hands.
Why can't Obama pay more attention to creating jobs?
His illogical poker-and-pot wars can't be helping him with the voters.

Obama Hypes Iran 'Plot'

The U.S. government is using leaks to the news media to press its case regarding a purported
Iranian plot to kill the Saudi ambassador in Washington, but the supposed links between a
cooperating FBI witness and Iranian intelligence remain tenuous at best.
Officials of the Obama administration have aggressively leaked information supposedly based
on classified intelligence in recent days to bolster its allegation that two higher-ranking Iranians
were involved in a plot to assassinate the Saudi Ambassador in Washington, D.C.
The media stories generated by the leaks helped divert press attention from the fact that there is
no verifiable evidence of any official Iranian involvement in the alleged assassination plan,
contrary to the broad claim being made by the administration.
But the information about the two Iranian officials leaked to the press was unambiguously false
and misleading, as confirmed by official documents in one case and a former senior intelligence
and counterterrorism official in the other.
First, I disagree with those underlined words in bold.
The author says "no verifyable evidence exists," which seems to be crazy talk.
How can anyone ever say "no evidence exists?"
Wouldn't a fairer phrasing be, "no evidence has been released?"
It seems to me that every word in bold is an accusation that Obama is a liar.
I wonder what that's like - to work so terribly hard to get a fellow elected, even to the point,
in my opinion, of unfairly slandering his innocent opponent, and then turn around and publish
an article that calls your favorite candidate a liar eight times in the first four paragraphs.
Has Bob Parry apologized for his lack of judgment?
If one pushes for a particular candiate to the Nth degree, and then that candidate turns out
to be a "liar," shouldn't one apologize for getting things so completely wrong back in 2008?

I'm not crazy about extra judicial killings by police or governments.
I've been in the criminal justice field my entire life.. And you are for damned
sure correct with the example about police (taking a life) when necessary.
We can debate forever about what "necessary" means. There have been many
examples when police claim self defense when i have been sceptical.. Easy to be
sceptical when i'm not the one being approached by an unknown.
With AlAwlaki, I figure until I can answer your original question about having a
better solution, I'll figure it was the only option. I guess in a perfect world we send
in a seal team to bring him back alive to face a judge and jury...
But I am assuming it was not possible.

Perry's poll numbers may be sinking to new lows, but Mittens still considers the Texas ass
his most politically viable opponent in the Republican presidential race.
Ignoring his other rivals, Romney continues to focus his attacks exclusively on Perry.
Case in point: A new website slamming Perry as a "career politician."
Romney accuses Perry of exaggerating job growth in Texas. It features a clip of Judas Maximus
asking Perry about numbers that show unemployment in Texas has doubled on his watch.
"Well, I disagree with those numbers," Perry replies.
The ad then shifts to a backdrop of a deserted highway, complete with a bouncing tumbleweed
in the distance. A series of statistics flash on the screen, including that 1 million Texans were
out of work in August—the highest number in the state in nearly 20 years.
That's smart of Romney to go after the racist seceder.
It seems obvious to me that the nominee will either be Mittens or Racist Rick.

Concerning Cantor - I find it surprising that no one has mentioned that he did not attend the Values Voters Conference.
I'll give you the primary reason... seems the Conference was held, for the third time in 3 years on the Jewish holiday
of Yom Kippur, the holiest day for Jews. So enough of this Values Voter crapola about such an all inclusive meeting.
The scheduling of this conference on the holiday is no accident, and we both know Cantor is not welcome at this
evangelical confab. The question is, when will Cantor wake up and realize he's being used? As I have said over
and over since he was elected and talked the crazy conservative talk he is being used, for a price of course.
