Quotes "I know what that phone call sounds like and feels like. I hope she knows that I'm here if she wants to ever talk about it." -- breast cancer survivor Christina Appelgate, offering to help newly-diagnosed Giuliana Rancic Link I'm surprised there's not more of that "reaching out" in Hollywood. Koresh knows Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan recently needed someone to shake them awake. Lindsay just blew off her probation so she's probably going to prison. Send e-mail to Bart Gadaffy beaten to death by angry mob
"I'd rather die than step down..." OK, do it your way Link Early this morning, reports started emerging out of Libya that Gadhafi had been killed in a NATO-led airstrike. Later in the day, the NTC confirmed reports of Gadhafi's death, according to the Whore AP. NATO and the White House have yet to independently confirm the reports. The NTC information minister told Reuters, "He was killed in an attack by the fighters. There is footage of that." This makes Gadhafi the first leader killed as a result of the Arab Spring uprisings. These insane handjobs (like Saddam) could take their $50B and and run and live out their lives in luxury but I guess being insane prevents one from making rational decisions. Obama gets the credit for this - with an assist from Hillary because without her, Obama would still be trying to decide what to do and tens of thousands of Libyans would be surely dead. Note: Wolf the Whore keeps trying to get Libyan spokesmen to say Gadaffy was killed by a NATO strike. They keep telling him, "No," but he's still pushing that story. I saw the crowd slapping Gadaffy around - and he was alive, Wolf. Why do you keep saying NATO planes killed him? Why is Wolf the Whore such a douche? (rhetorical questtion...) Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Did Obama's stimulus work? Bart, While it's true that Obama's stimulus was way too small (~$500 billion to fill a $2-3 trillion hole), it's unfair to claim "nothing happened." Just as one example, look at GDP. It was falling rapidly; when the stimulus began it turned around and started growing rapidly. When the stimulus ran out, the GDP stopped growing as fast. Link I find it puzzling that NPR objects to my exercising my rights as an American citizen -- the right to free speech, the right to peaceable assembly -- on my own time in my own life. I'm not an NPR employee. I'm a freelancer. NPR doesn't pay me. I'm also not a news reporter. I don't cover politics. I've never brought a whiff of my political activities into the work I've done for NPR World of Opera. What is NPR afraid I'll do -- insert a seditious comment into a synopsis of Madame Butterfly? This sudden concern with my political activities is also surprising in light of the fact that Mara Liaason (R-Whore) reports on politics for NPR yet appears as a commentator on Fox TV, Scott Simon hosts an NPR news show yet writes political op-eds for national newspapers, Cokie Roberts reports on politics for NPR yet accepts large speaking fees from businesses. Does NPR also send out "Communications Alerts" about their activities? Send e-mail to Bart Better

Don't Look Down Link Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Awlaki - a soldiers's view Bart, If Awlaki was to break into my house to steal something I would be well within my rights to shoot him dead. Some would say that makes you "just like Cheney." If he were standing out on my front lawn shooting at me with a rifle I would shoot back to defend my family even though I'd probably get in some trouble with the police. Then why is it not okay to whack the greasy bastard when he's working with Al Qaida to try to kill Americans and destroy our way of life from across the ocean? In each scenario an American citizen gets killed. But it's only okay if he standing right there? An attack is an attack, he thought he'd be cute and do his dirty work from across the pond and he forgot that we have ways of reaching out and touching someone. We are allowed to defend ourselves against anyone that attacks us. Tony, (still in Iraq for the time being) Tony, that makes perfect sense to me, but some liberals don't believe in self-defense. I have tried to reason with them, but they'll have none of it. I have a feeling about 80% of my readers agree with me (on Awlaki's dead ass) but it's natural for those who disagree to take the time to send the e-mail. I would imagine 100% of the atheists and agnostics agree with me. I refuse to die to protect some plane-bomber's rights. Send e-mail to Bart Is anybody better than Obama? Voters are pissed - but who's better? Link Americans have yet to find a Republican they'd clearly prefer over Obama, although half say the president does not deserve re-election. Among Republicans, the desire to oust Obama is clear. But it has not resolved divisions over the choice of a nominee. Mittens is reasonably popular, but he has not pulled away from the field. Cain is second to Romney, but Republicans are reluctant to vote for "a nigger." Perry lags in the poll, which was conducted before that debate in Las Vegas. Obama, like Clinton, is lucky to have insane handjobs for political enemies. During impeachment, Clinton's approval was in the seventies. Right now, they're not happy with Obama but then they look at Mittens and Perry and the Black guy and then they look back at Obama and like him more. Send e-mail to Bart Thanks to Mario Subject: Don't stop speaking your mind Bart, you wrote: "Since donations have all but crashed, I should probably avoid all touchy subjects. Having opinions on controversial issues can be very expensive." Don't avoid touchy subjects and keep speaking your mind. Hell, I don't agree with you on everything, but that's how THINKING people do things. You have the every right to speak your mind without "retribution", and if people withhold contributions to you over that, then shame on them. This blog is your soapbox and you damn well have every right to speak your mind. Keep on hammerin'!! Bluedeer Bluedeer, thanks for that. Readers often get very angry if my take on an issue differs from theirs. When I see a subscription cancellation notice. I tell myself, "the economy is bad," but l know some readers are convinced I've become "another Cheney," because I'd rather see a dead terrorist than an exploded American airliner. Send e-mail to Bart Fifty Million could O.W.S. by Brent Budowsky Link I believe that the first big winner of the 2012 campaign is the Occupy Wall Street movement, whether or not it participates in electoral politics. Before next April 30 there will be more simultaneous marches around the world that could inspire up to 50 million men and women supporting a more just economy. In only 30 days, Occupy Wall Street has reshaped our national political narrative and brought back to center stage the great American question: Are we a nation of the people and for the people, or a nation where the few and the factions with the money can dominate the politics and finances of the nation? It's amazing that the Occupiers are having this effect with the whore media (and Jon Stewart) taking every chance they get to ridicule those who've joined the effort. Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Occupy Romney Tomorrow Before Work! Friend, I just wanted to remind you that our "Occupy Romney" Protest is tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. Friday,October 21, 2011. "A while back, we approached a foundation with a request for a “matching grant,” a donation that would equal what we could raise from our readers. Last week, the foundation sent us a check for $20,000 with the hope — not a requirement — that our readers would come close to equaling the amount. -- Bob Perry at Consortiumnews.com, living large after a major donation, Link Damn, wish I could get a $20K donation. I could live most of a year on that. It's so sad when your career takes a dive and you have to go on this show to get back in show business. I might even watch it - if they get rid of the poser with the raccoon on his head. I watched last year - until Gary Busey got voted off. Gary Busey needs his own unreality show. Send e-mail to Bart Subject: re: hey from bart
