"It turns out Herman Cain is so stupid about politics he makes Sarah Palin look like Averell Harriman..." -- Joe Scarborough, killer of interns, on his coffee show That's a damn funny line if you know who Averell Harriman is. No, this is not Averell Harriman. Did you hear why the Intern Murderer said that? Cain said "China is trying to develope nuclear capabilities." Guess what, Herbie - China's had nukes since you were grabbing third grade girls. Palin must be kicking herself now. Turns out she's smarter than the GOP front-runner. Send e-mail to Bart Tear Gas for the 99 Percent
Why doesn't Obama speak up?- Link Police used teargas and non-lethal weapons to control Occupy Oakland protesters overnight after a general strike had effectively shut down the city's port and downtown areas. There were three separate instances of police using teargas, all near to the Occupy camp, as tensions erupted when protesters occupied a disused building. Earlier a thousands-strong march had closed down Oakland's port after a day of striking had seen streets closed in downtown and some banks damaged. Police first used teargas on Broadway at 12.30am, following a day which had actually seen a light police presence. Officers arrived on the street - the scene of the police clearout of Occupy Oakland on Tuesday 25 October which left Scott Olsen seriously injured - after protesters occupied a disused building on 16th Street. Do they think the 99 percent is going to go away? Do they think we'll forget we have no jobs, no homes and no future? I forget - who's the current president? The End of the Reagan Era? by Robert Perry consortiumnews.com More than any other political figure, it was Ronald Reagan who put America on its present course toward stunning income inequality and into a brave new world of deregulated industries, which were then able to exploit lax government controls to devastate the economy. It was Reagan who experimented with “supply side economics” which held that slashing the top marginal tax rates for the rich by half or more would eliminate the federal deficit and supposedly help everyone by letting the extra money at the top trickle down. It was Reagan who declared that “government is the problem” and convinced many middle-class Americans – especially white men – that they should despise “big government” as a threat to their liberty and trust their financial security to the kindness, wisdom and generosity of corporate chieftains. That's why the Right loves that idiot Reagan so much. He's the one who started the "The rich don't have to pay taxes" movement. And our yellow-bellied Demo-cowards went right along with it - bankrupting America. Now that 10% of America is trying to survive on food stamps, the lying sons of bitches are calling Obama, "President Food Stamp." ...and it's all because our side doesn't believe in self-defense. How did I get in a party of sacless losers? Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Scottsdale UFO Bart, as Mr. Science and Logic, are you saying you believe in UFO's? Fran in TX Fran, as a man of science and logic, I have no choice but to accept the fact that something was hovering over that Scottsdale football game. It would be illogical to think otherwise. Last time this seems-like-the-same-UFO buzzed Phoenix, the governor made a joke and said it was nothing, but he was wrong. If something with moving lights is visible in the damn sky, you'd have to be crazy to say it's not there. Send e-mail to Bart Hillary Wins Big in 2012 by I-hate-Hillary Brent Budowsky Link The true political state of the union is best revealed in a recent poll in Time magazine that found that Hillary would win an epic and possibly realigning landslide in 2012 against any Republican. The poll says Hillary would defeat Mittens by a whopping 55 percent to 38 percent. She would defeat Rick Perry by an even more devastating 58 percent to 32 percent. Hillary represents the brand of the Democratic Party embodied by traditional Democratic presidents in hard economic times. She is identified with the great prosperity of the Bill Clinton presidency. Hillary Clinton is seen as a fighter. She never gives up. She is a voice for those who feel disempowered, including white male blue-collar workers, blacks who feel trapped in joblessness and injustice, Hispanics who are told their dreams can no longer come true and seniors who trust Hillary Clinton as their protector. In the eyes of voters, Hillary Clinton is the North Star of an America where Democrats act like Democrats and where every woman deserves equal pay, every worker deserves a job and nobody should be left behind. ...and Obama is the opposite of that, always begging the Republicans to like him. It's strange to see Brent Budowsky write nice things about Hillary, considering he was amongst the loudest and most unfair of her critics when America was trying to make a decision in 2008. Yes, she's a fighter - we've always known that - but we didn't want a fighter in 2008. I haven't said this in over two years, but in 2008, America wanted a pony reeeeeeeeeeeeally bad and they weren't interested in listening to anybody who was talking common sense. You can call Hillary 1,000 names - and we did - but nobody ever called her "a pushover." Nobody has ever called her "a surrender monkey" and nobody ever called her "naive." There's no time to list them all, but think of all the once-respected Democrats who sold their souls by screaming "racists" at the Clintons, just to get Obama elected. Brent Budowsky should be ashamed of himself - jumping on the bandwagon after the tsunami of lies he told back when it counted. Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Yes, I find myself drinking more these days... Hey Bart, You asked the question. Yes, I find myself drinking more these days. My friends are doing the same. The reason is that we are all so fed up with the world as-it-is that we often just want to obliterate the thought of it. Of course this is wrong. Instinctively we know that, sooner or later, we are going to have to stand up, sober or drunk, and fight. Or not. If we don't fight, however, the future will simply continue to become more and more miserable for us. History shows us that, eventually, the majority catch on, and when they do it is often a very bloody time. Do we want that? Do we want to take it to the brink and watch the fireworks? Will be feel we have made the right decision when they stuff us into the mortars and blow us to kingdom come AS the fireworks? So, we put the pedal to the metal and our feet to the street, finally. Now it seems to have only two ways to go: abject slavery or bloody war. Somewhere along the way we have decisions to make. If we make good decisions we will be free people who respect each other and strive for the common good, neither slaves nor fodder. Right now our protests are peaceful, but at a certain point we will need to make those decisions, and fight with all our bodies and minds to free ourselves from those who are literally enslaving us. That’s when he made the switch from controversy-plagued campaigning at the state level to controversy-plagued campaigning at the national level. In January, 2005, Block appeared at Walker’s inaugural ball in a tuxedo to celebrate what “we did” to elect Walker, whose assaults on collective bargaining rights and public education and services sparked some of the largest protests in recent American history and who now faces the prospect of a citizen-sponsored recall. Block’s presence at Walker’s inaugura was something of a triumphal return to the fold for a veteran political player after he had been unwillingly sidelined politically for a number of years. In 2001, Block paid a $15,000 fine and agreed to refrain from participating in campaigns in an agreement that ended an investigation of illegal coordination between a 1997 Wisconsin Supreme Court campaign he ran and the smearing of the opposition candidates by a supposedly “independent” group. Now Block’s in trouble again... Send e-mail to Bart Check out the news and toons at
Subject: Mr. Grabby Hands Cain Hey Bart, What's funny about this is that the usual reich-wing defenders of the faith are all a-sputter in righteous, I say Righteous, sir, IN-Dig-nation about this eeevvviiilll plot by the mean old LIB'ruhl media to bring down Mr. Man o' the Pizza, Cain. But if you look behind the scenes, this whole dustup has all the earmarks of Karl Rove. Rove cut his teeth in the 1980s doing just this sort of operation, dishing out dirt on his chosen candidate's rivals and then arranging it so that the Democrats got blamed. Get ye to the Google and look up "rat-fucking," and there you'll find a picture of a grinning Karl Rove. Well, not really, but this really is what Rove is famous for, and he's made no secret of his opposition to Cain's candidacy. I'll bet a dollar that if you dug down a few layers into this Cain scandal, you'd see Rove's smirk looking back up at you. rdale When this broke I figure Perry was behind it. But Rove hates Perry so maybe they're ALL guilty. Send e-mail to Bart Made-in-China.com - Connecting Global Buyers with China suppliers Subject: fund-raising idea
