U.S. Senate candidate Pete Hoekstra (R-Douche) told Michigan Teabaggers that John
McCain failed to press the birther issue properly in the 2008 campaign.
Hoekstra, talking about Obama’s birth certificate, said he believes the country should establish
a national office that would vet and confirm a candidate’s ability to run for the presidency.
"Hoeky" never addresses whether he believes the president’s birth certificate is legitimate,
but he makes it clear that he believes McCain made a mistake.
“I think with this president, the book is closed. The argument, it’s kind of like, I hate to say it
but I think the debates over,” Hoekstra said. “We lost that debate and we lost that debate in 2008
when our presidential nominee said ‘I ain’t talking about it.’
“I’d love to give you an answer and say I’m gonna fight it, we’re gonna beat it
and we’re gonna win it. I think it wasn’t fought and we lost,” he said later.
Butt Pete, if that argument is over, why do YOU keep bringing it up?
Besides, I can see how you rubes think Obama pulled a fast one on you,
but his story was good enough to get past Hillary - so that makes him a lock.
But wait a minute, a few years ago, when Gov. Musclehead won in California, YOU guys
started that "who needs to be a citizen?" crap when you thought it might help your side.

Snake-handler dies from Bite

A snake-handling Pentecostal who witnessed his father die in a similar fashion, died Sunday after he
was bitten by a poisonous snake he had owned for years. "Mack" Wolford, 44, was reportedly one of
the few pastors who openly shared his beliefs about Christians being commanded by Jesus in the Bible
to take up serpents without fear of death.
To sane people, that means, "This book is, at best, some parable that's not to be talken seriously."
To the religiously insane, it's a How-To book on getting to Heaven.
Wolford, pastor of House of the Lord Jesus in Matoaka, W. Va., died at a relative's home May 27 after
he sat down next to a yellow timber rattlesnake and was bitten in the thigh during an afternoon service.
The service soon came to a halt and Wolford was taken to his relative's home to recover from the
poisonous bite -- a common occurrence for the charismatic Christian who grew up with a father who
also preached snake-handling during his ministry. Wolford died about 10 p.m.
The pastor, noted for his enthusiasm for sharing his belief that Jesus calls on his followers in passages
like Mark 16:17-18 to handle snakes, was officially declared dead Monday at Bluefield Medical Center.
It appears that no one aware of Wolford's condition had called emergency services for helpt.
Well you can't call for help because that's calling God's book a liar.

Subject: Birther thing can backfire
OK - lets just admit it! We live in a world where "stupid" is becoming the new "smart".
Case in point is The Donald claiming that Obama wasn't born in America. Not only is this
an assault on our collective IQ, but the message actually works against Republicans because
it turns out - they are the ones whose presidential candidates are foreign born.
Case in point - 2008 - John McCain. McCain was born in Panama.
Although there are likely a number of plausible exceptions, John McCain
has never explained it. And quite frankly, I'm still curious to hear it.
But McCain wasn't the first foreign born Republican candidate for president.
Mitt Romney's own father, George Romney, was born in Mexico, yet he ran in
the 1968 presidential election. And the reason he was born in Mexico is because
his grandfather fled the United States to Mexico where he wouldn't be arrested
because he had 5 wives.
George Bush at least was a real Texan who was born in New Haven Connecticut.

So the way I see it Obama is clearly a naturally born US citizen where Romney
is the son of a Mexican immigrant who illegally tried to run for president.
Seems to me that the issue itself works for Obama and against Romney.
So Donald, are you listening to me?
Not only is the issue stupid, but even raising the issue works against your guy.
You are totally ruining the illusion that billionaires are supposed to be the
smart people who we trust are going to trickle down on us and call it rain.

A Tactic for Democrats
If our Democrats want to win this next election (should I bother to finish the thought?)
here's a tactic they should try - why? Because it's free, easy and effective.
Because it's free, easy and effective, they'd never consider using it, but here goes:
Every Democrat on every talk show should say something like,
"I think the GOP's war on women will be the deciding factor in November."
Just hammer that point home on FOX, CNN, MSNBC, Meet the Whore etc.
Soon everyone will weigh in with an opinion on how true that is, but it damn sure
can't be discounted so I think it forces the GOP into one of two positions:
A. Fuck you, there is no war on women, the Dems are lying again," which won;t fly.
B. Yes, OK, we got a little carried away with our war on women and we apologize for thast."
MAKE them admit, months before the election, that they have had a war on women.
It's a free, easy and effective way to list the facts - that they DO have a war on women.
So the next time the DNC asks you for a contribution, remind them they have free,
easy and effective tools that they are refusing to use in a war we can't afford to lose.

Court: Anti-Gay Law Illegal

A federal appeals court Thursday declared that the Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutionally
denies federal benefits to married gay couples, a groundbreaking ruling all but certain to wind up
before the Republican-owned U.S. Supreme Court.
In its unanimous decision, the three-judge panel of the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston
said the 1996 law that defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman deprives gay couples
of the rights and privileges granted to heterosexual couples.
The court didn't rule on the law's more politically combustible provision, which said states without
same-sex marriage cannot be forced to recognize gay unions performed in states where it's legal.

Remember how they voted to fight that great American hero from being honored
because the Republicans didn't like the skin color that God gave him?
