Bain Capital only offered $ 18 million in cash, the rest was leaveraged debt put on the company.
Sixteen months after the buyout, Bain Capital paid itself $85 million in dividends in early 2002.
January 14, 2004, K·B Toys filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and closed 365 stores.
So, they got in for $18M, gave themselves an $85 bonus, then filed bankruptcy and said,

David Axelrod insisted he is confident that newly launched investigations will show that
recent leaks on classified national security information did not come from the White House.
"The leak-ee all of this work said that the White House was not the source of this information,"
Axelrod said on "This Whore." "There were leaks, but they weren't from the White House."
Axelrod said Obama's White House would not leak information that may jeopardize classified operations.
Both Republicans and Democrats have accused the White House

his crooked daddy, pardoned whoever needed to be pardoned to shield himself from the law.

Republicans lie constantly and Democrats correct them maybe 1/4 of the time.t

Former British prime minister Gordon Brown repeatedly criticised Rupert Murdoch's newspapers
in his evidence to a press ethics inquiry Monday, denying his policies were ever influenced by the tycoon.
Brown, Labour premier from 2007 to 2010, blasted Murdoch's Sun daily tabloid for its "sensationalised"
coverage of the war in Afghanistan and for its decision to reveal in 2006 that Brown's son had cystic fibrosis.
Brown said he "absolutely" denied that his wife gave consent for the story to be published, contradicting

When someone asks, "What's Obama done?" if all you can do is suggest

If the Democrats have even half a brain cell amongst us, (Should I bother to finish the thought?)
we'd hire our own Frank Luntz and have him find out which three Obama accomplishments
poll the best in the groups Obama needs to sway and then get every Democrat to mention
those three poll-tested results each time they're near a mic or a camera.
But our Democrats can't do that - and do you know why?

Bsically ... the Ds had a lot of fight in them, but not a lot of strategy, and not a lot of money.
The voters in WI got tired of election after election, it's been pretty much nonstop for 1 year now.
I'm not exaggerating ... there's either been a divisive local election, a divisive judicial election,
or a divisive recall petition, or a divisive recall election going on constantly since last summer.
People got tired of that, and when Scott Walker spent tens of millions of dollars calling for a
return to 'normalcy' and to 'let him finish out his term' that's a message that resonated with voters.
If the Ds had staged the recall election in November 2012, they probably would have won.
If they hadn't been outspent 10 to 1, they probably would have won. If Scott Walker had been
eligible for recall last fall, they probably would have won. But Scott Walker had the time, the money,
and the message to rehabilitate his image sufficiently to finish out his term.
And now he can claim this as a mandate for his policies, even though it's really only a
mandate for the idea that governors shouldn't be recalled unless they commit a crime.
